WHITE'S A-1 CARPET & UPHOLSTER

They were recommended to me. They are a family based business, not a big commercial company, they are very nice and they do a thorough job.

I had a coupon for steam cleaning the carpets for the " whole house" for $99.95. I own a small condo with an L-shaped dining area, living room, hall and 2 small bedrooms. The couple who owns this company is lovely. However, they wouldn't do anything but the main walk through path! They are an older couple about my age, and they wouldn't even move my rocker/recliner chair. I have had carpets cleaned since 1976, and I have never seen where they would not move the basic sofa, chairs, and place little pads underneath so that it could dry properly. I know for a fact all companies will not move your tv etc. for fear of cables and cords. And I also know they will not move anything breakable or with breakables on it such as a china cabinet. This couple would not even push out the sofa or chairs, and the husband did not get behind the doors of my tiny hall and bedroom. I had moved as much as I could in the tiny space I had and they wouldn't even move two small microwave carts with wheels in my dining room that just had cook books and stationary in the shelves. There was nothing breakable.They wanted more money than I could afford for the sofa ,which was understandable, so I forfeited a bedroom (which was the larger of the two) so they could do my sofa. I did not receive the cleaning I deserved. I vacuumed and found they did not even get within a couple of inches of the baseboards. The bedroom they did do was my office, and I can fully understand not getting near my computer desk even though its just a lap top on a desk with wheels. But it is so small and not to get behind the door is inexcusable.They also did not get behind the door to the hallway. For such a small one floor condo, they didn't get even near a "whole house" cleaning job. All I got is what we used to kiddingly say years ago, when we did a little to do a chore that needed more, " a kiss and a promise". However no promise here of any better.Of course they were in and out pretty quickly. I am at poverty level and it took a great sacrifice to get this done. To have it done so poorly is very hard to take.
