TOTAL DESIGN INC

We retired from the Washington, DC area and contacted Total Design through a family recomendation. We told Anne and Susan we wanted an overall look of "casual elegance" which meant we wanted to look good AND be inviting. We wanted earth tones and plum colors; they added greens. We wanted a large sectional sofa; their first choice was PERFECT. We wanted the office to be functional and beautiful; we got beautiful furniture and plum walls. Stunning. We wanted wallpaper in the kitchen and bathrooms; we got the perfect patterns. We wanted an eye-catching very large artwork over the fireplace; we went on a field trip to Charleston with them to select it. Fabulous. We nixed all the builder's grade lighting fixtures and, with Anne's and Susan's assistance replaced them with gorgeous fixtures. We wanted designer fans in the living room and sun room; and we got striking woven, rattan fans. The entire experience was wonderful. Anne and Susan are excellent listeners, talented designers, and great fun. We ended up with a house more beautiful than we had imagined, and seven years later it's just as beautiful. We simply could not have been more pleased, and as long as they are in practice, we will never use anyone else.
