+ -1 moreSwitch was replaced. Washer had not been installed correctly when Lowes installed it. The repairman fixed that problem. Cold water valve was adjusted. Washer works fine so far ,thanks to the repairman from Horry Electronics. I am glad I had purchased the extended warranty. I hope it continues to work well. Repairman was pleasant and professional. It only took only a few days to get the repair order scheduled and the washer fixed.
Description of Work: Repairman came to fix washer. He came after I complained to Lowes that my new Whirlpool washer was not working.

+ -1 moreInstallers would not answer their phone. Measurements were wrong. Several materials sent that we didn't need.A few boxes of flooring were damaged. Installers did good work but did part of the job and not come back for more than a week. Work some more and not come back for another week. Finally on the third trip they finished. Lowes did a good job paying us back for the wrong materials they sent. We had to complain to the management several times to finally get the job done. We also had to call the corporate office too. The installers, Legacy Flooring were even harder to deal with because they would not communicate with us at all. Next time I will go to a flooring company to have the work done.
Description of Work: We had vinyl plank floors installed in two rooms and hallways. This was a small job but it took about 6 weeks from the time we went to the store to set up a time get an estimate.

+ -1 moreWe bought a new washer and dryer from Lowes. We also purchased a 3 year extended warranty. The dryer works fine. The washer has never worked right. I have washed more than ten loads on six different settings and every load washed in very hot water. Two days ago it would not wash anything. It fills then dumps the water out. It doesn't spin. Presently the wash cycle light is on and it won't do anything. Lowes has repairman coming out to service it tomorrow. What has happened to Whirlpool washers? I have had older Whirlpools in the past that were good machines.

+ -1 moreWe ordered a vanity that had to be ordered from the factory. On the receipt it said the vanity would be in on 2/17/14. Rather than call the stor to see if it was in, we went ther. After speaking to three employess who had no idea what we were talking about, even though we had the receipt and order form. The employees acted like they were doing us a favor by just talking to us. So, still no vanity and we are still brushing our teeth, etc., in the kitchen sink. This is the second time we have had trouble with Lowe's on a special order item. Never again. I would suggest that if anyone needs to order special order cabnitry, get them from a company that specializes in cabinets. You might pay a little more but well worth not to have all the hastle.

+ -1 moreLowes' sales people were excellent, answering any questions I had. They did not steer me to more expensive items that I was not willing to pay for, in spite of the fact they are all on commission. I think that indicates the high level of integrity Lowes' sales people possess. The installation was very professionally and quickly completed. No dings on any doors or walls. The employees cleaned up any mess that resulted from the process. All the Lowes employees were personable while remaining professional. But then, Lowes has always been a good place to shop.
Description of Work: I bought an oven, dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine over several months in 2011 and 2012. Lowes delivered and installed the appliances and took the old ones away. The microwave did not fit the opening it was suppose to go in, in spite of the fact that Lowes had sent an outside company to measure the opening and determine if the microwave would fit. However, it was really no one's fault since the fit would have been down to 1/16th inch. (Maybe I'm exaggerating a little but really not much!)

Description of Work: Went to Lowes to get our kitchen done over due to a flood. We stopped in and spoke with Trish Culver. What a lucky day. She was wonderful. Since we had no idea how to start, we gave her the dimensions of the kitchen and drawings. With this, she put the information into a computer and she showed us a printout of what our new kitchen would look like. It was that easy. I cannot say enough about Ms. Culver, she was a pro, lovely to deal with, made changes where needed and a joy to work with. She coordinated the design of the kitchen, made useful suggestions, made appointments for the counter top measuring and installation, After her initial job was complete she gave us contact names (including herself) for upcoming installations and cabinet delivery. Once the cabinets were delivered, she gave us the name of the man who would be installing the kitchen cabinets, Mr. Bill McKenzie. Bill McKenzie is a perfectionist, honest, fast, clean and professional. Made suggestions that were excellent additions to our design, installed the lights under our cabinets, friendly. I would hire him for any job in the future. Can't say enough good things about him. We then purchased all our new appliances from Lowes. Thank you Lowes for Trish Culver and Bill McKenzie and to the gentlemen who measured our countertops and the two gentlemen who installed the countertops - very clean job. Very friendly. This was a seamless, professional and enjoyable experience with an extremely happy outcome. I would use Lowes for anything in the future. You won't be dissappointed. Loretta & Kenneth Lawrence
