LETTRICK CONSTRUCTION

The job went very well. Mr. Lettrick and his crew arrived on time, spent about 4 hours working and cleaned up completely before they left. They replaced a main rafter the tree crushed, removed and replaced broken plywood, and put down felt and shingles. They were careful to close both yard gates as they left. Considering how small a job this was when so much of Horry County was either damaged or flooded, we were very happy to have it done with such dispatch and professionalism. There is still some inside repair to complete, but we can do that safely now.

They were professional and gave us a written estimate. They kept with the estimate. They did the job neatly and were fast and did quality work.

The experience was good!

This transaction did not go well. When I was given a quote for one product, Mr. Lettrick actually purchased another product. When I told him that was not acceptable, and I wanted to cancel the order, he did agree to give me the product that I was quoted. From this point forward, lack of trust was an issue. Part of the job was the replace any rotten boards before applying new shingles. It came to my attention that this was not being done. I had to go outside to watch the workers to be sure that the rotten boards were replaced. When the workers brought it to the attention of Mr. Lettrick that a board was rotten, he would tell them to move forward and not replace the rotten wood. That is when I went outside and watched every detail of the job. Finally, when it came to the back of the house (last section), I was tired and needed to go in. Sure enough, after he was paid and gone, I noticed two sections on that last portion of the roof that I did not oversee had areas the were drooping. I called him to come back and remove the rotten boards and re-apply the shingles. His response to me was, "call me when it leaks". He did nothing! I believe him to be an unethical businessman. If you are a woman DO NOT HIRE THIS SHYSTER!!!!

Great job, showed up on time, kept the place cleaned up and did not leave a mess overnight, came back early the next day and finished the job. His crew is professional, spoke English, and are very good at what they do. Mr. Lettrick was on site and made sure we were satisfied with the job as they did it. I recommend his service if you want a roof done right and someone that is going to be there if you have questions or concerns. Very glad to have found him on Angie's list since we are new to the area.

Workers showed up promptly and performed the job thoroughly. I was glad the job wasn't "too small" for Lettrick. Mr. Lettrick himself stopped by to be sure all went well. He was professional and friendly, and genuinely concerned about the condition of my roof. He is very experienced in his field and takes pride in the quality of his work. Don't hesitate to hire him for your roofing needs.

Mr. Lettrick came within one hour of calling him. He arrived with his helper. The helper went on the roof and immediately found the problem and fixed it. Mr. Lettrick assured me that if I still had a problem I should call and he would be back to take care of it. I was happy to pay only $50

He did a great job, in a quick time frame. He also went out of his way to return multiple times to confirm that all nails were gathered from the yard. I have discussed additional services with Mr. Lettrick and will use him if I elect to do the projects.

Called Mr. Lettrick about a chimney leak. He came by that afternoon while it was raining and looked at the problem from the gound. He indicated the chimney cap was leaking which was obvious. I told him I wanted it fixed and he said he would return the next day. It was my understanding that he would make the necessary repairs at that time. He did not return the next day as promised but did call at about 4PM to say he was sorry he couldn't get there and would come between 1 and 2pm the following day. The next day a two man (subcontractor) team showed up around 1:30PM. They went on the roof, said there was a hole in the chimney cap and they had caulked it. If I wanted a permant fix, they would have to replace the metal on top of the cap. This would require another trip and at an aditional cost. I thought they were coming prepared to make a pemanent repair and as far as I am concerned it was a wasted trip and a wasted $100.00.

I called Mr. Lettrick on Wed evening and he gave a price for my townhouse roof, sight unseen based on my description, which was considerably less than bids previously received from other contractors. His bid included all necessary replacement wood (other bids had a per sheet add on after 1 or 2), tear off and hauling debris and clean up, lifetime shingles, and hurricane nailing. I asked how he could give a price without seeing the job, and he said 46 years of roofing experience assuming my estimates of the size were accurate. He checked the delivery of materials on FRI morning and due to weather forecast and distance from MB and a schedule change , he and his crew started and finished at 8pm by flashlight. He also fixed a wooden gate that was poorly installed by another contractor. If Mr Lettrick says he?ll do something for a price, you can be assured it will be done without a lot of contract legalese. It was a pleasure doing business with him. In my opinion, if you do not let him quote your roofing job, you will be doing yourself a disservice.

Mr. Lettrick was very accommodating. He stopped by our house, the same day i called, on his way to another destination. He assessed what had to be done and came back on Friday with his crew and did the work. My parents who are in their late 70's were there and they were very impressed by him. He. Even took pictures for me of the work that he did because he was repairing a job done a year ago by another contractor.

I cannot get over what an excellent company this is! I was so pleased with the work that was done. Even my neighbors commented on how nice the technician was. The guy was very professional, and would always call me and let me know when he was going to the town house to do work. He also did a great job of matching the shingles up on my town home to the other town home attached to mine. This work was done out of state from where I live most of the time, so it was refreshing dealing with someone over the phone that was so professional and polite.

He did an exceptional job! He is very honest, friendly, conscientious, and reasonable. He is very punctual and showed up on time every day. He has a good work ethic. I would hired him again in the future.
