Jim Jackson Computer Specialist

Bad and terrible experience.

The software is on there and it seems pretty clean but specifically Quicken where I keep all my finances is gone. I have nothing. These files are extremely important. Jim Jackson has said there nothing he can do after he promised me that files were on the computer. I spent countless hours with Quicken trying to recover the information and they could not help either after entering my computer through remote access. I also could not get Outlook to work which I use to sort my emails and keep filing.

Jim did the job. My computer is running faster and I will definitely use him in the future and recommend him to others.

Not only did Mr. Jackson fix the issues, he also installed some software to make certain that I would not encounter any future issues. His price was more than fair. Any other computer tech would have charged 2 to 3 times as much. Very professional and polite. Definitely will call him again.

Mr. Jackson came to my home to help me with a new desktop computer that would not function at all. He arrived as planned, got right to work, and after a couple of hours, had this PC running like it should have done all along. He not only fixed the underlying problems, but also uninstalled and reinstalled programs, installed proper drivers, connected my camera, etc. He did things with this computer that I have never been able to do since purchasing it. He also explained what he was doing and why, advised us on antivirus soft wear, and was very thorough in every aspect of his work. He never made me feel and quot;dumband quot; about the things I didn't understand about this new computer and it's operation, but was always very professional. When he was done with my new computer, I mentioned my old computer which I had given to my 6-year old grandson to do schoolwork on. It was slow and also had a few other minor problems. I had not called Mr. Jackson for this old computer thinking that the problems were due to it's age and that it was just outdated. Mr. Jackson, however, sat down at the old one and after a little while, he had it running just as good as new! As I was preparing to pay him for his excellent services, I felt that his charge was too low. He explained that he stands by the fee schedule he has set .......I actually felt his services were worth much more and so wrote out my check for more than the requested fee. He was reluctant to take the additional and quot;tipand quot; but I assured him that it was worth it to me to have someone as honest and professional as he had been in my home. I would use Mr. Jackson again and would recommended him to anyone who has a frustrating computer issue. I did tell him he should raise his fees though (smile).

I was thrilled - fast and comprehensive...great price

His businiss card saids $25 flat fee "np matter how long it takes". Well he did fix 2 computers, but would not answer the phone when trying to communicate with him, only text, then after a few days when the computers broke down, he would not respond at all, so the $140 was a waste,and to me he is a scammer. The date is approximate, it coulda be aug or sept. 2013.

Mr. Jackson provided the service in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. He corrected all of the issues that we were experiencing with our computer.

He was very responsive and took the time to clearly explain what he was doing. He had the laptop up and running and reinstalled my files in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend Jim.

Called Jim, who also fixed my daughters lap top; Jim picked up pc that day and brought it back the following day. Works like new. Would definitely recommend him.

I called Mr. Jackson on 10/16/2013 in a.m. He returned my telephone call that afternoon and made a appointment for 3 p,m. that afternoon. He was prompt and very efficient. As said above, he repaired my Dell computer and cleaned up both lap tops. So both are running smoothly. We would recommend him highly.

He was very patient as I kept adding work for him. He still only charged $25 per computer even though he was here all day.

Was able to accomplish all that was requested at a very resonable price and in minamal time.

Called jim and made an appointment to drop my Laptop computer off to him. He had it overnight And called me the next day. The price was only $25 and the computer works fine now

We called Jim Jackson based on reviews which appeared on Angie's list. Within a day or two he was in our home working on our computer while giving us the benefit of his insights into computer performance. I was very impressed with his breadth of knowledge and background, as well as his facility in removing malware and other pernicious software. He spent a full 2 hours working on our computer, and even endevored to repair the damaged keyboard. Unfortunately, the keyboard had been irrepably damaged by a spill sometime in the past and needed to be replaced. He researched this area, and ordered a new inexpensive keyboard from a supplier in California. The cost of the part and installation was included in the total $100.00 charge for service. Based on this experience with Jim Jackson, I would certainly plan to use his service in the case of future computer service needs. In similar fashion I would not hesitate to recommend him to others who encounter problems with their computers and require service.

I could not be happier with the service I received from Jim. He did a great job for me and I would definitely use his service again. He is located on the south end of the Grand Strand and works from his home, which, apparently, keeps his prices low.

First time, he stripped computer because of virus. Loaded programs back on, gave free spyware and malware to me. Returned computer in perfect condition. Secont time. My computer had gone down entirely. Virus in motherboard. Took it to another SP. This SP got her a new computer for me for about $170.. He downloaded all of my programs to the new computer. Jim Jackson makes house calls.
