What can I say Don was there when I needed him the most. As, an out of state homeowner I came back to check on my home after hurricane Florence late on a Friday night only to find a wet garage floor and water spraying out of a stress fracture crack in the cold-water line of the water heater. I sent Don a message to him via his website at approximately 9 PM. within 10 minutes Don called me and agreed to come out first thing in the morning (Saturday). Don arrived on time, made the repair within 20 minuets charging me a very reasonable fee and was on his way. What more could anyone ask for. Don was there for me. And, I'm sure he will be there for you too, a professional you can count on!!

Never showed up to do the work.

It is Sunday morning, taking shower getting ready for church. Upon stepping out of shower I found I was standing in toe high fresh water. Checked 2nd bathroom and it too was flooded. Checked Angie's List. Called Mr. Grey. He listened attentively, and stated he would be at my house in fifteen minutes. He was here in ten.. He reviewed the bathrooms, listened to my story and then we went outside. He took off the top of the outside white drain 'thingy' and found it to be full of water. I explained that I was on the Grand Strand Water Monthly Maintenance program and Mr. Grey stated, "You need to call them to come and fix this problem, and save not paying me." He left like the Man of Steel. He swooped in by driving over to my house, listened to my history telling, diagnosed the problem, and told me that I did not owe him anything. He did this all in fifteen minutes from arriving at my home leaving me in tears with his kindness and generosity. This is 2016! His business integrity, and gentleness of spirit are unheard of in 2016. God is good and introduced me to this amazing man. If anyone out there needs help, CALL MR, GREY. Than you for your time. P.S. I called three other plumbers that wanted to charge me $100.00 just to come to my home. When I told them I would call them back, the retort without fail was, "Any other plumber will charge you just as much, if not more." WRONG, Mr. Grey did not charge me.

Friendly and professional Had parts needed when they came to do repair!

He was friendly enough. Taken aback by the amount of work to be done. He said he would call back with an estimate. We talked once or twice more, nothing accomplished. I still have no water or electricity.

Everything was repaired within hours with excellent results.

His were both the best ideas and the best price we found in interviewing several plumbers. He was genial, respectful and knowledgeable. I recommend him and will call him again.

After returning from a trip we found the bath and powder room sinks and toilets would not function properly. We called them around 7 PM and Grey came to the home the next day and found that the fixtures were not correctly vented causing a vacuum and preventing them from draining. While under the home in addition to the lack of proper venting he noticed aluminum hangers on the copper piping this was causing electrolysis, pitting in pipe and 1 very small leak. This was from the original Construction of the home in 1999. He presented us with this information and suggested we change the horizontal water supply to PEX tubing with plastic hangers and increase the size and number of venting connections for the fixtures. We agreed and within a week he did the work in a timely and professional manner. Cleaning up after each day's work and making sure everything was working properly before he left for the day. I'm not sure if he's the least expensive contractor I could have gotten but he is extremely responsive, professional and meticulous to detail and that makes me feel that we got a good job at a fair price.

He showed up on time, and on budget having told us the price before he arrived. When he got here it took him less than one hour to resolve the problem. This was a drain blockage that resisted drain cleaners, plunging and other forms of clearing the blockage. Also, I had called other plumbers only to find he offered on time service and a cost estimate before beginning work and before coming to my home.

They quoted us about $120. The plumber was supposed to come back the next day to do it, but he never showed up. So we decided to go with someone else. They never followed through. He called back within 10 minutes, but he kind of just disappeared.

I had a toilet that was clogged and not responsive to mulitple attempts at plunging, ultimately overflowing. I called another company listed on Angie's list (now no longer in service), and was referred to Grey's Plumbing. Don Grey contacted me within 30 minutes, and added me promptly to his schedule. He was punctual, arriving 10 minutes ahead of schedule, was very pleasant and professional, had the toilet fixed in under 10 minutes, and was very clean and respectful of floors/carpets etc. His price was VERY reasonable. Finally, he was not only tolerant but gentle and friendly with my managerie of dogs and cats. I will definitely call him again for any plumbing needs and would recommend him without reservation.
