They showed up on time, gave me a fair quote and answered my questions. We agreed upon what was to be done in the work started a few days later on time. For the most part they cleaned up after themselves.  There was a incident that happened which caused damage to my house there response was quick and efficient and effective. I feel they went above and beyond in their efforts to resolve the issue. I would recommend them.

Good job from start to finish. I received a no-pressure quote after a thorough inspection of my problem. The work was scheduled to begin within the week.  The installers arrived on time (with a courtesy call 30 minutes before arriving) and promptly got busy setting up their equipment. They were courteous and professional. In less than 2 hours, they had finished the installation and cleaned up any spillage or debris.

It didn't go that well. I don't have any one thing that I would call a complaint. When they were first coming in, they pushed the time twice and then rescheduled. I lost a day, because I was waiting a round. They came in and were supposed to call to schedule the actual installation to put in the insulation. I had to call them and my request had fallen through the cracks. It was several weeks before they could come out again. I got the feeling that we weren't their priority. When they did come in to review the energy, they seemed more focused on up selling us, rather than a critique of what our needs might be or installing the insulation that we had already purchased. We've had a problem with our front porch that has a ceiling which, is made of siding. After they left there is a sag in the ceiling and insulation is escaping from it. They said that my ceiling wasn't properly secured. I suspect that someone stepped down onto it. They did come back and sort of push it back in. They didn't screw it into place and it's come down again. It may not be them. The problem that we called them in for which, was our upstairs was overheating, even after the insulation was put in, it has not improved at all. They were out the first time to do the assessment, then came back and put the insulation in. Then they came the third time to fix our porch ceiling. They were trying to sell us additional stuff and when we didn't want to purchase anything extra, we weren't their priority. They did come and they did put it in. I found them difficult to work with. What we paid for, they did do. They didn't give us any problems about doing the work or putting the stuff in. He came when he said he would come. We went upstairs and see what the problem was with the ceiling. He made some attempt to set it right. They did what they said they were going to do. I think the price was good. I assumed they used a good product. When they came, they came on time. They kept calling and reschedules. After three re-schedules I started to get a little cranky. The bottom line is, the problem that we wanted fixed, still isn't fixed. It may not have been fixable.

Sales individual showed up 2 hours late for initial appointment.  He did call but only 15 mins prior to appointment which meant I was already on my way to location.
Job was performed well and did a great job overall all.  I would recommend this company.

Excelleny job. Had problem with attic door tent because of levers on door so came back three days later and built an extension to raise height of tent and did not charge extra even though took another three hours to get it done. Cleaned up after all work done and hauled away scrap lumber taken out of attic. All employees dealt with from sales to installation were very professional, competent and remained friendly despite working for hours in high attic heat.

Missed the estimate a bit. He said he would be here at 8 o'clock and he was her at 8 o'clock. It took 5 hours verses 3 hours to get it done. They ran into problem when tubing it to the roof. I would recommend them. We have an hoa here and they took care of all the paper work for the hoa approving the work.

We worked with CEC to upgrade the insulation in our unit to improve our energy conservation. From the moment Jeff came to our house to prepare a proposal he was a professional and very polite and knowledgable of his industry. After development of the proposal Jeff and I had to work through an issue with the city of NMB, but Jeff and Fred both continued to be professional and did the right thing to ensure we could continue doing the neccessary upgrades to our home. The installers arrived on time and were polite and professional throughout the install of the insulation. They did a quality job for a great price. I will recommend them to others for insulation and energy conservation needs.

Overall, very good.  Arrived on time with the requested call before arrival so I could put my dogs up.  Did a map of all openings in ceilings prior to going into attic so they would find them all.  The only thing they did not do was putting the insulation back that they had moved to get access to openings.  I did not realize this until a week later when it rained and I went into the attic to check the fan for any leaks.  I called and left message.  When I spoke to them, they sent someone out the next afternoon and fixed everything that had been messed up.  The two young men who did the original work were young and just overlooked an obvious error.  The company fixed the error promptly.  I would use them again....just will remember to double-check work before they leave.

The two workers, Chris and his partner, called about 20 minutes prior to arrival and once at our home, went to work.  They first sealed all the openings in the cam lights.  The openings were necessary because of the heat generated by the old incandescent lights, but with led lights, there is no need for heat to escape.   This will keep cool air from escaping in the summer and heat in the winter.
They then raked the existing insulation making sure that it was level in all areas and covered the venting system equally.  After that they installed Eco-Shield, a heat reflective barrier to deflect the sun's heat away from the home.  We are hoping that in the winter, it will keep some of the heat in the living area, but for that time will tell.
Finally, they changed  the light bulbs in all, but 2 of the recessed lights in the house.  I had overlooked 2 when initially counting them, but that is not a problem as the bulbs are now readily available .
During the entire time they worked, you could tell they were a true team:  efficient, professional, polite at all times, and in sync with each other. Since the access to the attic was in the garage, we did not feel it necessary to clean the area, but by the time they finished, the garage was cleaner than when they started.
We hope this installation makes our home more comfortable.  This winter, and last summer, you could feel the different temperature ranges in various rooms.  We know the shield will help deflect the heat of the sun and let our air conditioning be more effective.  The big question will be if it helps keep the home warmer in the cold months.  It can't hurt.
I  will have to revisit this next year to add onto this review.
Overall, my husband and I are pleased with everyone we have met from Carolina Energy Conservation.  They have been professional, willing to answer all our questions, and responsive to any concerns.

We went to one of there seminars which was very educational.  We needed to get more lighting in our living room and kitchen area.  Matt showed up to assess what we needed and about 1 week later we had Solar Lighting tubes installed.  The installers were very friendly and professional.

Casey and Thomas along with Michael arrived on time.  They got right to work on the solatube.  Michael then left to pick up shingles. He returned without them as they were not in stock.   A minor glitch.  As a result they were able to do the solar tube and insulation.  They returned on sat. morning to complete the job.  Turned out out to be much cooler that morning and they were fresh and ready to go.  We were just as happy for the delay (as they probably were),  as they were drenched after the insulation job. They never once complained and were so polite.

Let me back up a moment.  If it hadn't been for the coupon that I found on Angie's list, we  probably wouldn't have had the insulation part of the project completed at this time.  When we had our initial evaluation, I hadn't gone onto the big deals in Myrtle Beach. After finding the coupon I called the Carolina Energy Conservation office and explained my situation.  Brandon, (the person that did the audit) called me back and honored the coupon.  We saved approximately $1000.00 on the job.  Needless to say, I was quite pleased.  Also, found a coupon for the solar tube in the amount of $30.00.  When Brandon returned to write up the order, I gave him a copy of the coupons and he honored both.

I initially attended a dinner presentation with this company, very comprehensive, well presented, all questions answered and I made an appointment to have solar tubes and LED bulbs installed in my home.
Prompt, efficient service, carefully draped my countertops, stove and floors.  Mike was the installer, did a great job, can't believe all the light that is now streaming into my kitchen and bathroom.  I always had to have 2 lamps on my countertop, my
kitchen was so dark and the bulbs (installed by the builder) in the ceiling did not give enough light.  The new bulbs are bright and make work in the kitchen easier when I have to use them (only at night).
My daughter was visiting and I kept saying to her "Turn out the light in the bathroom", of course, it was the solar light not the electricity. The bathroom is so bright now and before I always had to turn the light on during the day.  Gigantic difference!!
Mike cleaned up very well, he was courteous and competent, after one month, I'm loving my solar lights and I would highly recommend this company.  In fact, when I showed my neighbors across the street, they immediately called Carolina Energy Conservation and they ordered a larger 15" solar light for their kitchen.   They had it installed last week and they are thrilled with it.

Workers were on time and worked well to finish job. Did have to reschedule the day because the technician for the tubular skylight wasn't working due to a family emergency.

When I first got my house it had a attic insulation rating R-14 (4and quot;blown), code for the area is R-30 (8and quot;blown). I set out to get a company to add more blown insulation into my attic to bring it up to code and double my attic insulation rating. I had a couple large box-stores quote services which for a 1400sqft where in the ballpark of ~$1.00/sqft for 4-5and quot; blown. CEC was very pleasant to talk to over the phone and were willing to schedule estimation visit and work visit around my schedule. CEC was also willing to do cellulose or fiberglass (blown), as apposed to the box-stores which only offer blown fiberglass services (and radiant barrier). The CEC rep explained why they recommended blown fiberglass for my climate area (warm beach area) and also provided information on other insulation energy saving options such as radiant barrier. Job was done 8/11 in the morning on a saturday, and a follow up inspection was scheduled a few days later to insure that I was happy with their work.
Here are some of the highlights for CEC:-They arrived on time for all appointments.-They scheduled appointments around my availability-Cleaned up all work areas nicely after completing service (in this case vacuuming all floor areas they walked/worked)-Added a radiant barrier free of charge over my attic entrance-Calked and sealed some roof nail holes found during initial project inspection free of charge-$200 cheaper after discount than closest competing quote for similar service-I did not pay a dime until I agreed I was satisfied with their work on this project
*I rated their price B because their base cost was about 300 hundred higher than the others, but they had a special coupon that brought the total cost to 200 less than the next best quote for this project.*
