Description of Work: The appraisal was $100,000 under the builder's price so we decided to change course and get bids from two more builders (after we had formed a relationship with the original builder). One builder came in at the same price and the other came in 70,000+ over. The people at Blue Sky couldn't have been nicer but the difference in the appraisal and the actual cost to build the house cost us a 4 month delay in breaking ground and we ended up using the original builder. The delay will also cost us more in financing.

 + -1 moreWe got our response in just a few days as promised. We priced our house at about the same price as he appraised it for and had an offer in about 2 weeks. (The bank's appraiser - chosen by the lender after we accepted an offer, still has not given us the report and it has been over a week!)
Description of Work: The owner/appraiser arrived promptly, was very personable, and professional. He was more thorough than the bank's appraiser that just came last week. He measured the rooms and did a layout, he had a checklist of questions to ask us, he then measured the garage and checked the storage space over the garage, and walked the outside around the house, and before leaving, let us know he was done, when to expect to hear back and asked if we had any questions. He left his business card in case we wanted to contact him later.We got our response in just a few days as promised. (The bank appraiser - chosen by the lender after we accepted an offer, still has not given us the report and it has been over a week!)

They provided me with a detailed appraisal report including comparables based on the neighborhood and local market. Setting up an appointment was easy and quick. The report was very thorough and was emailed to me very quickly after the appointment. I would use this company again if needed.

 + -1 moreCustomer service was excellent. The appraisal report was extremely detailed and very thorough, including many pictures of the property and similar ones in the area. Multiple cost appraisal methods were used to give an accurate representation. The turn around time was extremely quick (within 72 hours). Overall, I would highly recommend!
