Called up on Wednesday afternoon to see about having them come out to run a hydro jet through the sewer drains. They set up an appointment for 8-12 the next day. Told them I needed to know if if they were going to be late as I couldn’t sit around all day. 12pm came and went and never heard a word. Called up to see what was happening and after a few minutes on hold the girl came back and said I was his next appointment but couldn’t give me a time. Told her she would need to cancel that as we had to leave and she just hung up on me. Appreciate your company wasting my time! Poor customer service. Have the decency to have your guys phone up with a courtesy call to say I’m running behind. You have a 4hr window. You know if you are going to be late or not! Would not bother wasting your time with this company!

Estimator wrote up for 38 gal. where a 28 gal. was. Closet also contained heating/AC unit. Very cramped quarters. Installer had a real challenge fitting hot water heater. I would like to commend Joe the installer. He kept his composure and was very professional in his work.

Entire process went very well. ARS did exactly as promised and HVAC worked extremely well during recent record cold period. Technicians were very professional and neat. Sales and management kept me informed on process. There was a small issue (my fault) with the NEST thermostat while I attempted to set it up on wifi. Caused a reset of controls and I incorrectly reprogrammed. ARS sent technician at 10:30 pm and corrected the issue. Cannot ask for better service. Recommending ARS to all my neighbors.

I moved in May. I had a warranty on the system still. They came out and said it was going to be $900. Then another tech came out and read something different and told me to put something in it and cost me $250. If they weren't the ones who put in the system and I didn't have the warranty, I would not use them again. I feel like giving them an F, but I will be kind. From my understanding they are one of the higher priced companies in this area too.

I used them for several years, and then discovered that they were not honest. Most recently, a young kid came out and told me all the things that I needed done to my water heater. Another company confirmed that there was nothing wrong with it and his list was completely unnecessary. I was very disappointed, since I had previously used them for years.
Description of Work: They came for a maintenance check. The worker had a list of over $1000 worth of work.

Part of the problem is as a homeowner you don't know all of the ends and outs of the system, so it would be better if they told you what was going on, just kind of educate you. They are about the same price as most of the other companies.

Repair was made in timely order once all underground cables and pipes were located and marked. There was never any interruption to water usage. All ARS personnel were courteous.

Replaced wall boards and brought in big fans. They dried and restored it to like new. I don't think the cost was unreasonable. They came fast and did exactly what they said they were going to do.

The installation was done on schedule and the workmanship was excellent. Much better than the original installation. The price was on the high end of the range for our area, but worth the price. I will use them for all of our plumbing needs.

It was one of the worst scheduling fiasco that I have experienced. The following is the scenario that occurred: The original plumbing inspection was scheduled for Fri. Sept. 2nd in the afternoon. Due to the hurricane that passed thru the area I was contacted on 9/2 informing me that emergencies were taken priority so they would not be able to perform the inspection. We then scheduled it for Tue. 9/6 in the morning. Morning meant any time between 8AM - noon. I did not receive any calls by 11:00 AM on 9/6 so I called ARS and they informed me that I was not on the schedule for today (9/6). They informed me that their calendar had me scheduled for 9/26. I asked them if it was possible for a plumber to come in the afternoon and they said that they were all booked up. So I requested for an appointment the next day. The woman (Ashley) said she would check with the plumbing manager to see if that was available. She informed me that they could fit me in the next day (9/7 in the afternoon). Afternoon meant any time between Noon and 5:00PM. Well I was optimistic that the inspection would finally be done. The following day I waited until 4:00PM and had not received a call yet so I proceeded to call ARS again checking to see what the status was. This time I spoke with Madeline and again she informed me that I was not on the schedule for today and she checked their calendar and stated that I was scheduled for 9/26. Well I insisted that they make a plumber available immediately otherwise I would cancel my maintenance contract. Well a plumber finally showed up at 5:25PM and completed the inspection and replaced the anode rod of the water heater by 7:30PM. Note: Ashley indicated that the company would send me a $25 gift card for the inconvenience I had suffered. I suspect that it may never arrive since they are so negligent at being able to schedule appointments.

Although pleasant the attendant that arrival started with an interrogation about why didn't I call the person who did the plumbing to fix the problem that was done a year ago. He seemed unenthusiastic when I let know the leak was in the crawl space and that I recommend he might want to put on coveralls to assess it as I was going to. I guided him to the area and he assessed the 3/4'', 3/4'', 1/2'' Pex T coupling from which the slow leak was occurring. After his assessment it seems that they use some standard pricing tool in a binder and he paged through it and shortly there after gave me a quote for $368.00 to repair the leak. I said good day and declined the service. Ultimately I went to a local home improvement store bought a 1/2'' crimping tool and "re-crimped" the coupling and this seemed to have stopped the leak, I didn't have the tool initially so that was the reason for the call. I am happy to pay a reasonable amount but 368$ was not reasonable nor fair for the work to be provided. ARS seemed to sell the expense of their services noting their "warranty" and this accounted for any pricing discrepancies. I did call and ask about the pricing and they offered to take "$50" off however at that point I felt their initial price being so outrageous I did not want to move forward with service. I can understand paying for someones expertise and knowledge, tools, parts. I priced out all the fittings (sold in packs of 10) to replace the whole "t" coupling including a new coupling and this would have cost. 1) T coupling 3/4''x 3/4'' x 1/2'' $3.28 2) 10 3/4'' crimp rings $4.48 (need 2) 3) 10 1/2'' crimp rings $4.48 (need 1) Noting this ARS was charging roughly $374 to cut and crimp three PEX joints. Assuming they had the tools already for the basic repair. Should this had been their first plumbing job: a pipe cutter for PEX does cost $9.98 A PEX crimping tool cost roughly $40 dollars. I guess ultimately someone not familiar with the scope of work or the basics behind the problem might be scammed into paying such exorbitant amount.
Description of Work: I had the provider come out to assess a leaking PEX joint that I noted in our crawl space for an unrelated reason. They were prompt with same day service and offered a free quote.

It was not good. The price was fine. The person that they sent out didn't know what is going on. The gentleman they sent out, checked out our system and said everything was fine, meanwhile nothing was working correctly. They should have sent out an experienced person with him if he was training.

Work completed but when tech left I noticed that the thermostat was nor sensing temperature settings. I did not bother calling them back because I have had it with ARS. Now I have been problems since last year. For about 5-6 weeks in a row I had to have them come and fix the AC unit they sold me 91/2 years ago. The service was ok until about 2 years ago and then it went down hill. One tech would find something wrong one week and then the next tech would find a different problem the following week. As I said, about 5-6 weeks in a row. Finally I had one tech (Ray O. (who, I really can't thank enough) that took a sincere interest and finally resolved the problem last summer. Other than this young man, all the others did what they did and left. Of course, each one was telling me I should consider buying a new unit since this unit was approaching 10 yrs. old this June '16. Well, I decided I probably should replace the unit and went with Swift AC & Heating. The unit was installed on Jan. 18th 2016. I hope their service turns out to be better than ARS has been over the past several years. Ray O, being the exception. He was great!

I had an Angie's List deal ($49 for $100 worth of service-so this cost me $140 OVER what I had purchased through Angie's List). The faucet was installed correctly, He was punctual, professional and friendly. My only gripe about the installation was the cost which I think was a bit high for the service performed.

Excellent. Samantha called the day before and the morning of, to advise exactly when Alex, the technician would be arriving. He arrived on schedule, introduced himself, put on his plastic boot-covers to keep our white carpet white. He was here almost two hours, checked over the system, which was working fine. he made some recommendations about shut-off swithches in the water pan and a service plan for the years ahead. He cleaned the water pan and reported some mould-like material on the door and interior of the inside unit in the attic. I was most helpful in showing me how to deal with that problem, inexpensively, at no additional cost to me. he did recommend a UV light be installed in the system to keep it from developing in future. He checked both inside and outside units, capacitors, fans and coil, coolant and, as expected found no problems. They do a lot of work for Home Depot which tells me they are a company with integrity. Alex gave me a full written report on the system which I required in the event of a possible Home Warrany claim or issue. Both of the people I was in contact with from ARS Myrtle Beach, Samantha and Alex, we very professional from beginning to end. It was a good experience. I will call them again next year for another tune-up! Thanks Home Depot/Shallotte, NC and ARS Myrtle Beach, SC for the great service and peace-of- mind.

Cecil B. Was great. He came out in 2 hours of contacting them. When he went to repair the garbage disposal, he discovered that it was actually an electrical problem. He got my problem fixed and was able to use my big deal coupon & then just had to pay the difference! He was really great!

ARS is the A/C quote people for Home Depot. They sent a salesman that came across so fake as to be creepy. After fifteen minutes of him trying to sell me on their warranties and quoting me $9500, I had to rudely stop him to ask what brand name the air conditioner would be. At this point I had stopped listening, I think he said Trane. Then came his phone calls to his boss, each time giving me discounts on the quoted price. I wasn't even asking him for discounts, I kind of wanted him to leave. I had contacted Home Depot for a quote, and here I had a sleazy salesman not listening to a word I was saying. I have a small 600 sq ft mobile home. The aluminum ductwork is probably 35 ft long. How much tonnage do I really need. I will never know because the salesman only went by what was installed years ago. There was no attempt to see if I could use something smaller than 2-ton (maybe 1-1/2 ton). I am writing this review because I am again looking into a new unit, but it will be through a reputable sleazless company. I still feel greasy from that salesman. Perhaps snake oil is more his fort?.
