Mr. Poulin arrived on time and well prepared to examine our situation and determine if he could help us. Though we haven't chosen a builder yet, we have been impressed with his professional manner, his apparent expertise/knowledge of all aspects of the building business ( due to familiarity with current codes, questions about vendors, etc). and we feel confident that he is capable of building us a safe and comfortable home. I will be happy to add more to this as we go through the process of deciding; bids have not come in yet. UPDATE: Mike Poulin's company has completed our home and we are very satisfied.. Though it took a little over the expected amount of time to complete, we are very happy with the quality of the work and the overall experience. Mike had a plan of action already in mind when the county officials gave him the go-ahead to start work, and this was very helpful to getting things rolling right off the bat. Within just a couple of days of the last meeting with the county, he had workmen on site. As work progressed he was able to keep the project moving forward by having the and quot;subsand quot; in queue and working both inside and outside which was a refreshing approach. And he was happy to include workers from the beginning of the project that we kept in an effort to maintain continuity; not afraid to use an unfamiliar worker ( try someone new) but unafraid to speak up it the quality or conduct of the person didn't and quot;measure upand quot; to his standards. We have learned that a well respected contractor has a far greater resource base for skilled tradesmen and vendors of quality materials than the average guy; I can't count the number of vendors and contractors who told us that we were working with the cream of the crop and then would go out of their way to fit us into their schedule just to have an opportunity to work with Mike. Then there were the people that were very glad to have a and quot;first chanceand quot; to work with him in order to get on his list of workers or vendors. It is our pleasure to recommend this company for building a home.

I am doing a complete kitchen remodel and called Poulin Brothers to set up an appointment for an estimate. They took my name and phone number and set up an appointment to come to my house on a Monday at 10am. On that Monday, nobody showed up, nobody called and I never received a phone call of any kind from them with an explanation. As I would never hire someone that cant even make the first appointment, I did not bother calling them back.
