Description of Work: Replaced eight decorative shutters on my trwo story home. The shutters were purchased separately by myself. The shutters replaced orginals shutters that had been exposed to the elements and over time had degraded to the point of needing replacement. The replacement shutters required extensive additional modification, which Tim accomplished without a hitch. He was always responsive and kept me informed throughout the entire process. He was easy to work with and I would have no hesitation in highly recommending him to others in need of general handyman services. I note that a recent review indicated that the writer had tried numerous times over a period of several days to reach Tim, without success. I have personal knowledge that the circumstances were not of his making He had, in fact informed me that he would be absent for several days in connection with the illness of his mother that required him to travel outside of South Carolina to address her circumstances. The writer of the review had called him precisely when he was dealing with a family issue. It was unfortunate, and certainly not at all in character. He provided excellent service, delivered quality work at a reasonable price. I will be calling him back shortly to address a number of other projects at my home.

Description of Work: Remodel bath/bedroom/livingroom. New tile floors

Description of Work: Tim came to my rental to install/test 4 new smoke alarms. He was very pleasant throughout the installation, which took only 45 minutes. He was also helpful in making recommendations and explaining other services he offers. I would use him again in a NY minute.

Description of Work: Tim came today to install handicap bars and help fix up odds & ends around the house that needed to be done. He is terrific. This is the second time I have used him. He is professional, polite, nice, clean, capable and reasonably priced. The first time he was kind enough to interrupt his Sunday, his usual day off because we needed him quickly. I will definitely be using him for all my handyman needs. I am having him back in a couple days to do some painting for me. He also does plumbing and probably other stuff, too. Thanks, Tim!

Description of Work: Tim had a challenging job repairing front and back door locks that were out of alignment. He explained the problem to my satisfaction and made necessary adjustments and repairs. He suggested we may need new door locks as repairs are not entirely satisfactory. We fully intend to have Tim return to do further work for us. I would call him a true professional. {$80 might well be a fair price for his services in view of time spent.}

Description of Work: General handyman work. Tim and his assistant were prompt, polite and very professional. Given my experience in this area of home repairs I place him at the top of the list by far.

Description of Work: Tim Shaw quickly and efficiently repaired a faucet in our kitchen of a persistent leak. We found him to be friendly and professional. We took advantage of his 10% discount coupon which made the repairs quite economical. We fully intend to use Tim again at some future date. {Oh, Tim also recommended a company to do some glass work for us saying it was not in his area of expertise.}

Description of Work: I have dealt with Tim before, about a year ago, and again had an excellent experience. Tim worked on various jobs, both large and small. These included replacing screens in large porch openings, replacing outdoor light fixtures, dock work including replacing pile guides, some electrical repairs, and some repair work on my irrigation system. Tim is pleasant to deal with and his work is top-notch in quality. All you have to do is show him the problem. He also offers helpful suggestions. It is such a joy to have him take care of problems because you don't have to worry about quality, price, or responsiveness. After several bad experiences over the years, it is so pleasant to work with such a reliable professional.
