Phoned for an appt. for leaking faucet in laundry room. When I described my problem, Louie asked for photo of faucet to see what to replace it with...he called right back and suggested that the hose might not be screwed in completely. He was right! Instant fix! I am so grateful for the help and the friendliness with which it was delivered.

They are the BEST!!! You will be hard pressed to find a company that strives as hard as they do to "do the right thing" I call. They returned call in 15 mins as the voice message says. He spent tons of time with me on the phone explaining different options. Gave me an appointment time within a TWO HOUR RANGE. Called to verify the appointment. Showed up spot on within the quoted time. Gave a free estimate first, then did the repairs. Cleaned up their mess...as well as mine also. He actually cleaned the inside of the toilet when he was all done. Then Louie, the owner called to make sure I was 100% satisfied. That is WORLD CLASS SERVICE and I mean that. A TWO HOUR RANGE? Who does that in today's world? No one. Normally they make you sit around all day waiting on them. These guys are my plumbers for life and while I am at it, Angie's List is the best also. Would have never found this company without them.
Description of Work: Rebuilt all my toilets.

Simply a SPECTACULAR review. Thank you for using the term, "world class service." I use those same words to my guys at our meetings constantly. Glad to see it used on a review for us. This is the kind of review I live to receive!!!!

My call was returned promptly after contacting servant plumbing around 9am. Although the plumber didn't get to the house until 5pm, when promised to be there by noon. (I did get calls/texts letting me know the delay) once quoted for the fix i agreed, under the impression the mess would be cleaned up. The person ( assuming the owner ) i spoke with on the phone have the impression they would take care of everything . The Plumber was at my house working from 11-5pm (they have me the 9-11 am slot to show up) I also had them install utility sink in my laundry room. The plumber left the room a mess did not clean up after himself and was not clear about what he was doing the entire day. I was also not explained the condition of my crawlspace when he left, it seemed he just laid some plastic over the sewage and left the plastic under the crawlspace. I never saw any trash taken outside. I hope the plumbing job went well I haven't had any problems yet but my shower is still unfinished so it hasn't been up to the ultimate test yet. My main concerns are communication, timing and the mess that was left behind.
Description of Work: Repair of a broken pipe . I had a botched bathroom redone i was left with a pipe breaking. Sewage had been going under the house.

Response from Servant Plumbing of Mt.Pleasant
I take these matters to heart, thus, my long response. I am simply shocked. Just amazed to be truthful, at her report. We were fully booked. She calls up in the am and I told her we were fully booked and this was not an emergency. She had another fly by night contractor who had abandoned her awhile back and had previously cut out the pipes under the house and she JUST found out that raw sewage had been draining under there....because the new contractor had just found this out. He told her to call a plumber. Her toilet had been draining under there, for who knows how long, but many, many weeks if not months. Seeing as it had been like that for a long while, I didn't feel as though it had to be done this very instant. Still, I told her I felt "sorry" for her and I would TRY to have someone out there around noon as I had a guy in her area to "take a look at everything" and see what we could do. My guy informed me that the leak was coming from a water heater at his current job and they needed a new heater. He was on James Island (as this customer) and that he would be there a few hours because he had to drive back into town and get a heater, then go back out. I called her immediately and said that my guy was delayed, he now couldn't make it till around 5. Keep in mind she did NOT have an appointment and I am fitting her in out of kindness because she was distraught. We showed up, explained to her that she was correct, the guy had cut the pipes and it was draining under the home and this was an all day job and we would be back tomorrow to replace them all. Again, we were fully booked the next day also, but I rescheduled work just for her and we spent the entire next day out there replacing pipes, in an area, that was HORRIBLE. I am not aware of ANY company in town that would have even crawled under this house, through human excrement, that had been draining under a house for weeks / months. But we did for her. Now I get an F at punctuality giving this customer SAME DAY SERVICE WITH NO APPOINTMENT and next all day service without an appointment??? My goodness, I just do not understand, I just do not. Then we QUOTED HER A PRICE PRIOR TO DOING ANY WORK, as we always do. I do not understand how you can pre quote a price, have the customer accept the price, schedule it for the next day (giving her time to think about it) then turn around and give us a D on the price, especially after all the extra work we did out there? We performed a job over and above the call of duty, as the environment in which the work had to be completed was VERY hazardous and was at high risk. I mean as you can imagine, a toilet that has been flushed for weeks/months and was just dumping under the house is the worse case situation for us and we could have easily turned this job down. But we are about customer service and I do not like leaving my customers high and dry. Of course, common sense dictates, you would HAVE to lay down plastic on TOP OF THE WASTE so that you could crawl around on it to do the repairs. This WAS an all day job. Yes we showed up at 11, as she said, but customers always forget we are picking up materials for that job, so this was AFTER spending 1 1/2 hours at the supply house getting needed material and going to Lowe's to get a roll of plastic and then driving out to James Island. After we were complete and done, she said "what about all that sewer under the house, you ARE going to get rid of that, right?" We said no ma'am, just let it be, once it all dries up in a few weeks, which it will, as the water source has been stopped, it will not be much of an issue. She said "well I want YOU to go under there and SCRAPE it ALL OUT and get rid of it??? No ma'am, we are plumbers, we are not a cleaning crew. We have done what we needed to do, be thankful we crawled around under there and took care of an issue, not many others would have even been willing to do!!! If you feel you want it all removed (an all day job and a nasty job) wait for it all to dry up as I said in a few weeks and then hire someone to do it, though I am NOT AWARE of any company that offers a service of cleaning out raw sewage under a house. It is EVERYWHERE under there. What makes you think as plumbers, that we would clean it all up for you and that this was part of our estimate? This is not our job. I am sorry you think this is our job, but it is not and certainly, we did not tell you we WOULD clean it all up as part of our estimate. You may have ASSUMED that, but you never asked us about it, nor would we have ever dreamed you would have assumed we would have cleaned it all up for you. That would be a first in 35 years in business. There are disaster companies that would MAYBE go under there and suck all that stuff up, but they will charge you a fortune, wearing hazmat suits and such, but it is not our job to do so.... We are plumbers, and we did the plumbing aspect of the job. So here I am, trying to be nice and show compassion and empathy for a customer by fitting her in when we were booked, doing a job for her few others would have even done to begin with and then getting a horrible review because we wouldn't clean out her crawlspace for her as well as fix the plumbing!!! But the old adage, no good deed goes unpunished, comes to mind. And now, because of this ONE issue, we get a D on price, an F on punctuality and professionalism and a C on quality....which is funny because she has no clue if what we did was quality or not, because she refuses to even LOOK inside of there, much less crawl around in there to be able to judge of the quality of our work. I TRIED discussing this with her, after reading this report, but it was to no use. She said I was "harassing her" and would call the police if I contacted her again. WOW!!!! Here I am trying to call her to see if we can come to some sort of agreement to make her happy and now she is going to call the police? For ONE phone call??? She said maybe this how I got so many A's on Angie's List, by "harassing my customers." I think it is quite evident this customer has some real personal issues and she is taking out her frustration of having the original contractor do her wrong. We SHOULD have been her hero's.....and now we are garbage who she is going to call the police on? My, my, what is happening to the world? She just went on and on and on about how we should have cleaned it all up and did not communicate with her ALL DAY as we did the work??? I do not see how that is possible, I spent 20 mins with her on the phone, my guy Joshua, spent 45 mins with her on site going over EVERY aspect of the job the night before and spent all of the next day under her house installing new pipes….kind of hard to communicate with a customer when we are under their house  I ask my customers to try and focus on our impeccable rating and reputation for the last 5 years on Angie's List and to concentrate on all the other A's we have earned by giving our customers excellent service and going the extra mile for them that few do anymore. I cannot control the few bad apples. When you have over 250 reports, sooner or later you are going to get a report like this. I take it VERY personally when we do not get an A on EVERY job we do. We have over 240 A's out of 250 reports, almost a perfect score. It is a shame that 1% will not be happy no matter what, as I do strive for a 100% success rate. I do not believe in 99%. Without YOU, there is NO ME. I take this matter to heart and am always upset when we get anything other than an A. But in this case, I just do not know what to do, as the only apparent way to make her happy would be to clean out her crawl space for free and spend the day doing it. I feel I must draw the line in the sand on this one.

It went much better than expected. Charles, our plumber, was on-time and let me take the lead regarding what would be done, and what would be checked. Upon trying to fix the toilet it was discovered that the water could not be turned off as the valve did not completely shut off the water. At that time I asked that ALL the internal shut-off valves on both toilets, and all sinks, and the washer be checked; more bad valves were found and added to the list. The spigots for the washer were behind it and on the floor, and it was suggested that they be extended and moved up to eye-level so that they could be shut off easily without having to drag the washer out away from the wall where it is a fairly tight fit causing somebody to have to crawl on it, and then over the back and down to the floor to reach the valves. The water heater was leaking, and so corroded that it could not be fixed with the threads crumbling when loosened or tightened. A new water heater was installed with a special fitting to help with the problem of corrosion caused by both copper and galvanized steel connected together with nothing in between to stop the reaction between the two metals. Charles discovered that the breaker panel had no connection for the water heater, and we did not take its front panel off to check that out; it was also discovered that there was no ground for the water heater and it was recommended that I have a qualified electrician come out and fix that ASAP. We have only been in the house for a few months and noticed that a tree had been removed near the sewer clean-out access so Charles offered to stop back and bring a tool to check that out. He came back later in the evening with a snake kind of tool with a camera on the end that he fed from the clean-out to the house, and then from the clean-out to the street which, thank God, showed that the pipe had indeed been completely replaced and was unobstructed. He also gave us some great tips on how to keep the pipe clean from the house to the shut-off as well. The total cost was unexpected and jarring, but upon doing some research, and considering the number of parts (including the great new water heater), and the number of hours he spent with us (at least 9) it was a real bargain. Servant Plumbing guarantees their work, and the owner called me the next day to make sure that things were all good, and that I was happy with the work, which I definitely was. I would HIGHLY recommend Servant Plumbing of Mt. Pleasant to anybody in the area for any plumbing jobs, large or small.
Description of Work: Replaced three shutoff valves, a frozen shutoff valve, a leaking shutoff valve, and a valve that would not shut-off no matter how hard you turned it. Rebuilt a toilet and added the proper missing parts, adjusted a second toilet. Moved washer water spigots from the floor to an eye-level position on the wall. Procured and installed a new and upgraded water heater and hauled away the old one. Ran a line/camera down the sewer line to check for any issues there. Removed a strange shower head pipe and replaced it with a more standard one. Checked all the shut-off valves for function and leaks. Gave advice about potential electrical issues associated with the improper electrical connection for the water heater. Returned a second day and checked everything for any leaks or potential problems.

WOW!!! Thank you (humbly bows) for a fantastic review. And thank you so much for researching prices and costs. Price is always a hard thing. Our rates are consistent. We don't flucuate from one customer to another. But what is a great price to some, is only a reasonable price to others. And to others yet again, a very expensive price, even though it's the same job and same prices across the board. But thank you for all the details in your report. Shows me you were really impressed!!!

Louie the plumber is awesome. Every aspect of my business with him was professional, prompt and courteous. He said he'd call me in 20 minutes, he did. He was honest in his assessment on the phone. He was responsive to my needs. He had a man out the next day at the agreed to time. The employee that he sent out looked professional, neat. It was determined that I needed a new water heater and within a few hours it was installed. Oh I forgot, the man he sent out reminded me that there was an 11% off coupon, saving me a good amount of money. I am not sure of the price only because of my ignorance but $875.00 (after discount) seemed fair to me. I will never call another plumber

Sewer backed up into house and we called our warranty company to get emergency repairs. After having the warranty company come out 2x and then having BCW&S come after and tell us what the actual problem was, I checked on Angies List and saw the wonderful reviews for Servant. I emailed immediately and received a call as soon as I hit 'enter'. Response was wonderful and both Charles and Louis made us feel comfortable with the work to be done. Charles did not leave us without the basic necessities during the overnight. They were very concerned for our needs and explained everything that was going on.

To get straight A's on a job this large is always more meaningful than a smaller job. Most people are happy with $125 jobs. Being happy with a $3,000 job signifies that we did it right, even when the circumstances for our customers are less than desirable.

You will find no better plumbing company on this planet. The area that I live in had some of the coldest weather we have ever seen. Even though I took all of the necessary precautions, our waterline still froze. I called Louie and was sure he was probably getting thousands of calls like mine. I was very shocked to see how he was still very responsive even though I could tell he was very flustered when I spoke with him. He said he had generated hundreds of calls that day was doing his best to service everybody. To to his word, he came out very late at night as he promised he would. It took him a couple of hours to locate and fix the area causing problems and by that time it was already leaking. I felt sorry for him as he had to crawl under our house when it was extremely cold with water in the crawlspace. His attitude was surprisingly positive considering the situation, a sign of a true professional and made us feel at ease and even gave us what I thought was a very reasonable price to fix it. I will always use this company as they have always been very prompt, professional and courteous no matter what hour of the day it is. I highly recommend Servant Plumbing and his crew.

Louie of Servant plumbing answered my call and advised me that he was very busy that day and the nest due to heavy calls of frozen pipes. As my service call wasn't urgent, clogged drain line in a vacant rental unit, the service call wasn't immediately needed I called back a few days later Louie sent me a text message to get lost and he didn't want to do business with me, due to a complaint we had on a prior service call., Louie confused me with another customer. We cleared that up agreed to meet his serviceman the next morning at the job site. I waited till 1pm but the plumber never showed up to clear the clogged drain. When I called him back to ask why, he sent another text message saying that he had tried to contact me but I didn't return his call fast so he went along his merry way and that I was on his ____ list. I will not use contractors that deal in a snarky way and think they are doing me a favor providing a service. Nerer ever, ever, ever will I deal with Servant Plumbing again.

I'm not one to badmouth, as anyone can tell by our ratings, we have an impeccable reputation. But this gentleman is simply NOT telling the truth and is mad at us, so he is trying his best to cause us harm!!! The TRUTH of the matter is HE is the one who did not show up. He is the landlord of a vacant property. I explained to him SPECIFICALLY that once we arrived on site, since the house was vacant, that we would look at the situation and then call him to give him a price and at THAT time he needed to give us his credit card and approval to start since he was not on site. We DID show up and called him over 1/2 dozen times in a 45 min period....he would not answer his phone. We sat there, patiently, waiting for him for 45 mins to return our call to quote him a price and get his credit card info. He never did and this was AFTER we called him to tell him we were ON OUR WAY and this job was WAY OUT on James Island. He did call us.......3 hours later screaming about WHY didn't we just go ahead and fix it while we there....as he was hoping. I told him we ALWAYS QUOTE AND GET AUTHORIZATIOIN FIRST before we do any work and this was explained to him in DETAIL when he called us. This was on a Friday afternoon. He then asked us if we could go BACK OUT AGAIN and I told him sorry, we were fully booked and had other appointments AND it was after 5:00 and there would be an additional charge if we could get back out. I personally could not imagine him FINALLY calling us back around 5:30 PM on a FRIDAY and asking us to go back out TO A VACANT HOUSE!!! The truth of the matter is I am POSITIVE he was looking to get some free plumbing work from us. He told me that if we did NOT GO BACK OUT, he would give us a bad rating on Angie's List. I told him sir, you have to do what you feel you have to do, but extortion is not the way to get on my good side :) He then said so I guess I am on your____list huh? I said I guess so sir. Now he claims I TOLD HIM he was. Nothing you are reading in his report is accurate and I hope my customers can ignore his report, as it is fictitious. Thank you.

My family has been calling Servant Plumbing for the past six years or so. No other company is more responsive, conscientious, or professional. Josh fixed a leaking hosebib by replacing the old unit even though the access to the water lines in our old house was poorly designed and incredibly tough. As usual, he was efficient and careful. He also looked over other faulty plumbing work done by someone we initially had to use because of our home warranty.

Louie called me to say he was on the IOP and had many clients with burst pipes because of the freeze and wanted to know if I wanted him to check mine since I was out of town. Thankfully he did , since we had an issue. He stopped the leak that day and came back on Saturday to replace it. Louie and the rest of his team are the best . Wish all service providers were as thoughtful and diligent as they are . We have used them for many projects over the last two years and never have been disappointed. Thanks Louie for taking good care of us.

The guy who came out was very polite, clean and professional. He performed the job well and we no longer have a wobbly toilet. Louie was very prompt when responding to phone calls, and called after the job was complete to make sure everything was satisfactory with the work performed. The only negative I would like to mention is I had the same job done to another toilet in our house by another Angie's list plumber 9 months ago for $60 less. I assumed the cost would be the same across plumbing companies for a routine job, but I am not disappointed with the price I paid.

I was outside in front of my house the night of 2/3/14 and heard water coming from someplace. When I looked, the top of the spigot was shooting water out and there was no way to stop it. I saw the wonderful reviews for Servant Plumbing and decided to give them a call on the morning of 2/4/14. I'm so glad I did!! I left a voicemail and Louis called me back promptly and I explained my issue. He told me he would call me back shortly as he was almost finished with a job, so we could discuss my situation further. He called me back within 20 minutes and said he wasn't positive he could get to me that day as he was very busy (which I said that would be ok if he had to come the next day), but he would try his best. Within another 1/2 an hour, he called and said he was on his way, that he wanted to fit me in. He arrived and immediately assessed the situation. Apparently, for the first time in the 10 years I've lived in this house, the pipe had frozen in the cold weather, even though I dripped the faucets in the house. He told me that he could hopefully fix it from the outside and not have to go inside and tear through the sheetrock (which would have been more expensive). Luckily, it worked out that way which was a relief to us both. There was quite a bit of work involved in fixing the pipe and spigot and not once did I feel that Louis was trying to rush the job, even though I was a fit-in and he had other customers to go to. He also checked my spigot in the back of the house, which fortunately, had no issues. Louis is extremely pleasant, friendly and professional. Servant Plumbing deserves every one of these positive reviews. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing services!
Description of Work: Fixed and replaced outside pipe and spigot which had frozen.

Even though it was short notice, they were able to fit me in to their schedule, and fix my leak right away. The guy that came to my house (Josh) was very nice.
Description of Work: Servant plumbing is awesome. I had a leak in my water heater that had the potential to damage my house, and Louie was incredibly quick to reply to my message, and schedule someone to fix it.

I really liked working with them because he (I believe his name was Josh), called me multiple times like I requested to give me updates throughout the process and prices before doing any work. He was very professional, seemed like he knew what he was doing, and I greatly appreciated him working on a Saturday night. My only complaints were 1) the price but truly I can't hold that against the company because I didn't shop around due to limited time so they may have been the best price with an availability, and I am pretty sure there was a charge for working on a weekend night which I understand. 2) I asked josh to email me a receipt which I never received. I called back and left a message telling them I never received it and if they could email me again but still haven't received it. But overall they were great, and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.
Description of Work: I called Servant Plumbing on a early Saturday afternoon and left them a message letting them know my tenants were having a plumbing emergency and to call me back as soon as possible. Servant Plumbing called me back within an hour, and we discussed the issue with my rental. The gentleman from Servant Plumbing arrived at my rental later on that night around six, properly evaluated the situation, and was able to fix it within a couple of hours.

My pipe was leaking on a Sunday afternoon, not always easy to find someone willing to come out for a smaller job. Water was leaking rater steady. The experience was great working with Servant Plumbing. Luis gave a great education on how to be better prepared for the next deep freeze. Called right back per his message, showed up right on time, offered a fair price for the job and fixed us right up. I will definitely be keeping this number.

It went extremely well from the beginning. They kept in touch even before they arrived to coordinate date and time. The technician (I hope that is a PC term) was punctual, professional, friendly. He fixed the problem quickly, gave us a fare price and even went above and beyond and cleaned my sink.

I am very pleased with the service. Louie, the owner, kept me advised throughout the day of when someone would show up. Once Josh arrived, he quickly found and repaired the leaking pipe. He was very courteous and professional. He also took care to secure the entrance to the crawl space and to close our fence.

Called yesterday. Louie's crew came today and successfully repaired all of the problems in the house. Even during a cold snap the guys came as promised and worked all day to repair my non emergency issues. Easy, reliable and professional.

AWESOME! Called his voicemail and was promptly called back. He had his crews spread out on other jobs but was able to get someone over ASAP. He also kept in contact with me to let me know what was going on. I HIGHLY recommend Servant Plumbing!

Excellent service. He checked my toilet for a clog and informed me the problem was related to the toilets age. Recommended that I replace the toilet due to its extended use. Did not charge me for snaking my toilet. Also turned up my hot water heater per request.
