The end product was perfect. With all of the carpentry work, it did take a little longer than expected. Our home is over 30 years old. The wooden siding showed a lot of weather damage. The project leader made several helpful suggestions to enhance the appearance of our home. The crew was very professional, courteous and maintained a good line of communication. When the job was complete, they did a excellent job of cleaning up all debris, etc. Again...the end product was well worth all of the work. I feel like we have a new home.

We are so happy with this company. The crew were professional,friendly. They cleaned up any debris. The house looks amazing. Should have done it years ago. We can't say enough good about the company and the product. Don't paint again! It's about the same cost as paint but won't peel, won't fade and there's a 25 year guarantee. Our house is over 40 feet above the ground because of being in a flood zone and about 2600 sf, so don't let our cost be a consideration.

The Rhino Shield team gave a detailed estimate, explained all phases of the work they would perform, what products were to be used, and an estimate of how long it would take. They provided a quote for using the Rhino Shield ceramic coating product, and another for using a high quality paint. They also explained how the weather could impact the completion times. We decided on the Ceramic Coating (Rhino Shield). Work began as planned and was completed a little earlier than expected. I did a walk around with the on site team leader Justin and I found no issues. This is very unusual since I have an engineering background and am very picky when it comes to work done for me. There were 3 installment payments, 20% down 40% upon prep work completion,and the remaining 40% on completion. I would like to add, that there were a lot of nail heads that had rusted through the prior paint job, and the prep work included cleaning each nail head, removing the rust, coating with a marine grade rust inhibitor, then the primer coating and final color coatings. This was a lot of work.

I couldn't be happier. The crew that came to my house took total pride in their work and it shows through the final product. They were meticulous in their preparation work, hardworking and respectful. Not only was the job completed in the manner it was described to me, but when they packed up their equipment at the end of the job, the landscaping and yard were actually left in better condition than when they arrived. I will definitely be reaching out Palmetto Ceramic Coatings when I am ready to have the rest of the house painted.

Things went very smooth. The work was started and completed in a timely manner. I was impressed with the care and special attention to detail the crew took to make my home look new. The crew made some repairs and painted a few areas that were not part of the contract to enhance the beauty of my home.

They were very flexible in scheduling the work. The gentleman that applied the coating came back on a Saturday to finish the job because we had to redo a section; I wasn't a fan of the color. We adjusted and he reapplied with the new color and rectified the issue. I was really appreciative he came back on the weekend because it was far more convenient for me.

The product needs to be applied when weather conditions permit. (ie: no rain and not freezing). Once the crew showed up, they took nine (9) days to complete the work. This required: cleaning, preparing, caulking, sealing, priming and, ultimately, putting on the actual product. It is interesting as each layer works with the other layers to make a stronger bond. I am impressed that the crew didn't try and cut corners but work diligently each day. Simply put, the amount of caulking that was performed is incredible. They used over fifty (50) cases of caulk (12 tubes per case) to ensure every crack, joint and seam was properly sealed. As painters know, it's the preparation that makes the most difference. I personally supervised the crew for days to ensure that they were capable. I was very impressed with their work ethic, their attention to detail, and professionalism. I am convinced this house will not need painting for decades! The price is higher than traditional painting but I don't believe you can compare painting to this product. I am well pleased with the product and the crew that applied it. I highly recommend Palmetto Ceramic Coatings if you're interested in the highest quality, most durable protection you can put on your house.

They preformed an excellent job on or house. You could not ask for a precessional group of painters , they know how to handle all perspectives that would come up . They did an excellent job on our house.

It was the most impressive and thorough work we have seen. The team was exceptional. We were informed of next steps every day. The work site was cleaned up every night. The attention to detail and quality of work exceeded our expectations and was noticed by our neighbors.

Due to family illness, we could not be on hand to see work done. We were update via phone calls and photos at least twice a week. Work was better that expected.

The house looks just wonderful...clean and crisp! The crew arrived when they said they would and worked long hours in the heat. The house was cleaned and caulked. They were polite and did a fabulous job cleaning up each evening. All the trash was bagged and hauled away. The prep work was exceptional as every light fixture, door spring, wireless box and concrete pad and brick step was covered with heavy paper to protect it from the coating & removed when the job was finished. They were at my home 6 days, only leaving early one afternoon when there was rain. They looked over the job when it was completed and touched up anything they noticed. Then they invited me out to walk around the house and review the work done .I did not find anything needing additional attention. It is nice to know that I don't have to touch-up my paint every 3 to 5 years.

It was way to expensive. It was a free estimate and he responded quickly when we called. He was professional and did a very thorough inspection of the house. The price was way out of line. I would not use them because of the price.

This was a great experience with a consistently professional set of providers. The price seemed high when we began the discussion but after the job was completed I was convinced I got real value for the investment. If I compare this job to the exterior paint job I paid for a little over 2 years earlier at a much lower price, I was reminded that you get what you pay for. The previous job actually detracted from the value of the property - mold after just 12 months and lots of chalking - while the job that Palmetto Ceramic Coatings provided makes the house look great. Palmetto's crew began with a very thorough pressure washing and treatment that removed all the black mold that developed after the previous paint job. Then Palmetto's crew did an incredible surface preparation that included removal of cracked caulk, applying new caulking, sanding, identifying areas that needed replacement of wood, replacement and repairs, scraping to provide a smooth surface, and priming areas of raw wood. A long lasting paint job requires meticulous attention to surface prep and this team did a superior job that resulted in a superior, hopefully long lasting, finish. The job was accomplished in February 2014, a month of freezing weather, ice and rain. They were flexible and did not rush the job. They waited until the surface was dry and ready for the caulk, the primer or the final coating of paint before they moved forward. The delays made me more confident that the final results would be worth the wait. Before the undercoat, whole areas were masked off and I can find no evidence of overspray. Application of primer, base and final coat were accomplished efficiently when conditions finally permitted. After the final coat, which took about 2 days with a crew of 5 to reach all the areas of my 2 story home, the crew completely removed and cleaned up all protective masking and then commenced on the final touchups. The crew chief meticulously inspected and reviewed the results and the team went over areas that I would never have expected or found. An example: they retouched the back surface of the soffits to prevent any incidents of wood deterioration. Bottom line: I am very impressed with the professional approach of this team and the results. When my interior needs refurbishing, I intend to call on this service first. The results are well worth the investment.

We hired Rhino Shield to paint our house after considering conventional paint jobs. Jon and the Rhino Shield team came out and provided a very thorough estimate and work plan. After visiting another home nearby and talking with another owner about their work, we decided to go ahead with Rhino even though the cost was approximately double that of a conventional paint job. But in this salt-marsh area we wanted a coating that we felt would stand up to the abuse of the harsh weather conditions. The crew that was assigned to our house was impressive: they were meticulous about spending the necessary time to properly prepare the surface for painting. They used many tubes of calk to properly seal the cracks, fixed minor damaged areas, and carefully masked off and taped areas to accommodate different colors and to protect areas not to be painted. They checked with us during the work to be sure things were going satisfactorily and were very diligent about checking to be sure we were satisfied as the job progressed. When we found areas that needed more attention (not many), they gladly touched them up and were very pleasant and courteous. It has now been two years since the work was completed (I only recently joined Angie's list) and we are extremely pleased with how the coating is performing. We still receive compliments on how great the workmanship was and how good the house looks. We have not found any problem areas and the coating still looks fresh and new. Even though we paid a premium price for this work and product, we believe we received an equally premium product that will not disappoint us as it is subjected to this hot, humid, salty South Carolina climate.
