When I called, he said he could come today. I agreed. The next thing he asked if there were any dogs in the house. We have two. He insisted the be locked up before he would come. I should have cancelled right then, but didn't. He showed up on time. He replaced the valves that controls the water and ice maker. He complained about the dog smell. He left after the water was working. Two days later, the water stopped again. He returned and decided the water filter was in wrong. He removed it and reinserted it. The water ran again. It turned out that the filter was the problem all along. We felt he was very rude. Never again!!
Description of Work: Fix water in door.

He installed the icemaker and then wanted to explain what he did. A grandchild was in the room making noise. He said he couldn't talk over the noise, stopped the conversation and just walked out and drove off in his truck, refusing to talk any more in explaining what he did. Two days later we wanted him to come back to check something, but he said it wasn't his problem. He refused to say what a second service call would cost and he hung up.

Our 4 year old dryer (Kenmore bottom of the line $329) recently stopped heating so I looked through the local yellow pages to find the nearest possible repairman. Jackson's repair was just around the corner so I decided to give them a call. Mr. Jackson sounded very professional and seemed to ask the appropriate questions so I asked him to stop by and have a look. My wife was off work and home so he said that he could come by at her convience. I told her to have him look at the dryer and go ahead and fix it if he could do it for under $150, otherwise we would pay him for the service call and buy a replacement. Everybody has appliances on sale these days, but if we could save a couple hundred bucks, might as well keep it. He showed up on time and had a look. He thought that it was just a blocked hose and proceeded to clean and replace it. She even held the ladder for him while he stuck his pen in and cleaned some lint from the house exhaust port. Thirty minutes later my wife asked him how it was going and if he had found anything else. He said that he was done and handed her an invoice for 275 dollars stating that he had replaced the heating element as well. It would have been nice if he had asked first. The dryer seems to work fine now but there is an annoying rattle coming from it. It sounds like he left something loose inside. I called his number and asked nicely for an explination of the charges since he didn't specify the cost of the replacement part but he ignored my call and has yet to reply.
Description of Work: Replaced dryer heating element and vent hose. Cleaned lint from exhaust entrance and exit points.
