 + -1 moreGood. Not perfect, but good. Caning cd have been tighter to better cover seat base. NOTE: You've also asked me for the 7th time to rate Fresh Coat painters. I've done that twice and have alerted A's List about it, but A's List continues to send me requests to rate Fresh Coat.

 + 0 moreA year later we've had to re-paint the porch swing already, and the paint they used on the rockers had no mildew-resistance as well so we have to clean them constantly. One of the rockers had wood rot, and while they didn't cause it, nor should they have fixed it, they just painted over it and never mentioned it -- I would have thought a mention of the damage was appropriate. All in all, they seemed uninterested in a simple project and gave it very little attention.
Description of Work: Had two oak rockers repainted (over spar varnish) and a porch swing repainted. The work was done as promised, was more expensive than I expected (my bad for not getting the price up-front.) The quality on delivery was just average (the paint was rough, it didn't look like they had sanded between coats.)

 + -1 moreVery good to work with from initial contact to final delivery. The price was somewhat higher than expected, but they did more than I expected, including door to door pick up and delivery, and replacement of hardware on an old piece of furniture.

 + -1 moreThe broken leg was more valuable, and the repair is barely visible. The movers saved the piece so there was no much new wood added. It was fluted leg in a fruitwood. The dining chair matches the rest of my chairs. I'm very satisfied and would recommend them to anyone. Because of their reasonable prices they are very busy, and you should not expect a quick turnaround. That was not a problem for me. I only cared about the quality of the work.
Description of Work: Repaired 2 chairs broken by movers. One had broken leg. The other was a dining chair with a broken splat. They had to carve a new splat and refinish it to match the chair.

 + -1 moreHaving had a previous positive experience with the good folks at Chehaw, they were our first stop and did not disappoint. The repairs were seamless and significantly improving the structural integrity of the pieces. The initial refinish wasn't exactly what we wanted and there was absolutely no hesitation on their part to redo them to ensure 100% satisfaction. These are kind and capable people that we recommend without reservation and look forward to utilizing again.
Description of Work: We had 2 antique, children's chairs (one rocking chair, one highchair) that were in need of repair and refinishing.
