Description of Work: In August 2010, we were researching a possible move from Connecticut to Mt. Pleasant. We walked into Chuck's office and received first class service from then until we purchased our home in April 2011. This knowledgeable service was offered with all the charm and grace of a true southern gentleman. Chuck's extensive experience were critical in helping us select the right home and get it for a good price while navigating foreclosures, short-sales, a poor national economy, and a Boeing plant start-up in North Charleston. Chuck gave us extensive tours of Mt. Pleasant parks, shopping, schools, and tourist sites as well as the normal tour of available homes. He used the tours to educate us and to help us prioritize what we needed and wanted in a home. Chuck knew each of the neighborhoods well. He gave us price ranges and price histories for the developments so that we could narrow choices and focus our energy on the few neighborhoods that had what we wanted for a price we could afford. The price histories were essential to gauge the downside risk and potential upside in this difficult housing market. In between our limited house hunting trips, Chuck gave us updates on the phone and through e-mail. He was always responsive to us. We had been pleased with Chuck's service but quickly learned that he offered the additional value of being a shrewd negotiator when we selected a house to buy. His advice on offer prices and negotiating approach were vital to obtaining our home for a reasonable price. His comparable home analysis in our neighborhood made us confident that we paid the right price for our new home.
