From the very beginning Carolina Fence Company was amazing. Hank gave us the original quote but we decided to enlarge the fence from our original idea. Hank was easy and personable ensuring we were quoted for exactly what we wanted. The install was quick and finished in two days. Both days the crew cleaned up behind themselves. The crew was great and communicated progress to me. One of the best looking fences in the neighborhood! I would recommend Carolina Fence Company 100% of the time. You want the best fence in Charleston at a great price then this is the company to use!

Hank Chavis and the Team at Carolina Fence Company did a phenomenal job on our project. We took several quotes from other companies, some of which had high ratings similar to CFC. Hank was the ONLY person to correctly quote our project, which involved fencing near a drainage easement in part of our yard. While some of the other quotes were for less money, we believe you get what you pay for. By catching that detail, when nobody else had, Hank pretty much assured us that his experience and professionalism were worth the extra money. Not to mention, if the drainage easement ever required work, the money he saved us from having to remove that portion of the fence. The crew came and finished the project over two days. They were thorough, efficient and very respectful of our property. The fence is beautiful, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Would highly recommend this company for anyone considering an upcoming fencing project.

Representative "Matt" came to house within first few days of my initial phone inquiry. Very professional, knowledgeable sales person who gave me various options, then came up with estimate which, at completion, matched exactly with invoice. Very pleased with quality, installation, flexibility, advice and customer care.

We purchased a newly constructed home, and needed a fence to be installed ASAP after closing to secure a pet upon moving in. We obtained several quotes for the type fence we wanted, and reviewed Angie's List for potential contractors a couple weeks in advance to make sure everything would fall into place in a timely manner. We selected Carolina Fence Co. based on Matt's professionalism and their price. Matt came out, took measurements, discussed the location of the gates, showed us pictures of the final product, and gave the estimate. He kept in touch during the weeks following to make sure everything was still on schedule. Unfortunately, heavy rains put his crews several days behind on other projects, so he was unable to start our project as planned, which is understandable. He did manage to get the posts set sooner than we thought, and finished the project shortly thereafter. We are very satisfied with the appearance and overall quality of the job.

This is a great company. They did everything they said they would do - on time - no tricks like trying to add on more money as they were doing the job. Very professional. We recommended this company to our neighbors who are having there fence installed today. I highly recommend this company. A pleasure to do business with.

DO NOT USE THEM TO INSTALL YOUR FENCE!!! Let's start with their quality of materials. The wood is unsafe and not square. You cannot touch the fence without getting splinters, I have dogs and kids....not a good combo. After complaining to Matt, our salesman, he finally agreed to replace some boards and marked them with painters tape. He assured me we would be notified when the 'repair team' was coming to replace the boards. We were not. My wife received a voicemail that they had done the repairs after the fact. When I returned home, I found the fence in worse condition than before the 'repair team' touched it. I marked the boards they promised to replace with a pencil, and they hardly replaced any. Some of the boards they replaced them with were obviously used and in worse condition than the ones I complained about initially. I would have taken the day off from work to be there when they performed the 'repairs' if we were notified ahead of time as promised. If I was there, this problem would be resolved. When I called Matt to express my concerns about the 'repaired' fence, he said he would contact us to arrange a time to come and look. Well, Matt decided to come with out notification and removed the nails that were sticking out of the fence that his repair team had left. He left me a voicemail stating that the problem is resolved ( a salesman removed two nails???? ) and he demanded payment in full or "they were comfortable taking other actions. " How unprofessional to threaten a client when your company installed a blatantly unsafe fence on their property!!!!! I will post pictures of the splitting wood, mis-matched posts, roller-coaster line, unsafe boards, and posts not level to emphasize what they consider a job completed. There are pictures representing their craftsmanship as well. Not what you would expect from a "professional" fence company. So, I called Matt again and he washed his hands of the affair. He stated the fence is fine. He said he was done dealing with me as I "obviously wanted indoor wood" and would give the info to his owner. What I actually want is a fence that is safe for my family. It has been 3 weeks and we have heard nothing. I have had multiple fencing companies come out to give me estimates on removing this horrible fence and installing a new one. Every single one is amazed that this was done by a professional company. I have heard comments like: "Did you do this yourself?" "That is the worst wood I have ever seen, we promise we wouldn't use that." "Looks like amateur hour." "We have had to replace many fences that Carolina Fence has installed." We have hired many contractors from Angies, based upon reviews, and this is the only one we have had an issue with. Please do yourself a favor and pick someone, anyone else. They are unprofessional, the material is substandard and/or used, and their craftsmanship is a joke. This is the first negative review I have written about anyone. Ever. If they were willing to fix this fence, I wouldn't have to.

An email was sent from the Company (as I contacted them through Angie's List) to have me call them back. I called back the very next morning (as I had received the email the evening before), but got the voicemail. I left a detailed message to return the call, but have yet to hear from them, it has been about a week since the initial call.

Carolina Fence Company did an excellent job of installing my fence. They were very punctual and professional and the fence looks great.

It went flawlessly, we even had some last minute changes and they completely took the ball and ran. Very professional crew that are very quick and courteous.

The estimate was done quickly (within a few days of inquiring). The deposit was paid in April and the date to begin the fence installation was June 18, 2012. because of rain the date was pushed back and was started on July 2. It was a little difficult to get a specific time when the fence was going to be started. The guys came and removed the old fence and set the posts for the new fence in one day and came back later in the week to finish the fence. The fence is beautiful. We love it.

They installed it in 2 days and it looks great. It was well worth the wait due to the rain we had in June and the demand for a quality fence company.

I was happy with them. They were very thorough in checking the property lines. They picked up the trash. They were very identifiable as they had their company logo on. They provided quick and good quality service. They filed all the HOA paper work that was required. They made sure that if I needed any permit from the city attorney it would be taken care of. Their price was pretty high but I think that’s pretty average for the type of fence installed.

Not impressed, he showed up in torn jeans and old faded T-shirt. No company vehicle and wrote is quote on the back of his business card.

Matt was punctual for the appointment. This was the only company to have a brochure that clearly showed the possible fence styles and choices, and also take care of getting HOA approval for our fence. We went over details about gates, he measured the fence line, and provided me an estimate on the same day. After the fence was installed they measured it to make sure I was being charged the right amount of feet and it was actually 2 feet less than estimated. Very professional and detailed - I would use them again.
