Excellent and friendly service with quality products.

The rep came to the house several times to show us various options. He worked out of the new office in West Ashley. Very professional and helpful. Installation went fine and nine months later we are still pleased.

The sales person made several trips out to show us different offerings. Installation was problem free, and when we later had to remove the door shutters because of a need to replace our hardwood floors, they came out and reinstalled them at no charge after the floors were done. Very impressed with their professionalism and work ethic. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Professional crew who did an excellent job on installing shutters.

They were an A+. I went out to their showroom. They have a really nice showroom. It was very nice.

After browsing their showroom, we scheduled a free in home consultation. They sent out a sales person who was very helpful and gave us a very accurate quote of the final cost. It seems like there can be drops or lags in communication between the sales, office, and installation teams.

We got 4 bids before choosing Budget Blinds, and they were the best choice. Actually, they were so reasonable and professional, I wish now that I had installed plantation shutters throughout the entire house. I recommended them to my neighbors and they had them do their house also. They also gave us complimentary paper blinds to hang until our order was ready to install.

The owner stands by his word. He will do what it takes to please his customers.

First, the primary reason I am writing this review is Jana, the sales person in this instance. She was very professional, easy to talk with, accommodating, and very pleasant throughout the process. One of the window treatments did not come out as planned and she and Budget Blinds and quot;made it rightand quot; graciously and expeditiously. I have rarely done business with a more and quot;client orientedand quot; business! I would (in fact I have gone back already! ) go to Budget Blinds first in the future....I can't imagine a reason I'd have to look further. The other reason I am writing this review is the installer, Keith. He is amazing. A and quot;clean instller,and quot; he works in his stocking feet so as not to bring street shoes onto clean (and very light in color!) carpet in my home. He was open to my suggestions during the install and was very expert at his job. Finally, I wish to compliment the Office Manager, Lynn. She is always so pleasant when she anwers the phone or when one stops by in person with questions. Her attention to customer service is outstanding. I will recommend Budget Blinds to all my friends....they do a great job!

So far we have only received a quote, but the owner met with my husband last Friday and returned to our home (being built) today to work with me remotely (still living in another state). He was honest, provided good advice and made the extra effort needed to make me feel important. That is awesome customer service. We will be booking an approx. $8000 job with them.

Overall we could not have been more pleased with the entire order and installation. Upon completion of the installation we were so pleased with the look of the shutters on the windows we placed a subsequent order for additional shutters on windows we had not originally planned to cover.

Project went smoothly from initial contact to measuring to estimate to installation. Company was professional at all levels. The installers were great. They ran into a problem and I was worried they would have to come back at a later date. Instead, they called in their head installer, who responded quickly and assisted in the installation. As a result, the blinds were installed on time and they look great. Plus, I received a 25% discount for using Angie's List. I would highly recommend this company!

The representative was patient and answered many questions we had. He was easy to work with. We are very pleased with the shutters and are relieved to have somthing to offer privacy since our kitchen windows face the front of the house. Also they serve to block the glare of intense morning sun as we drink our morning coffee. They are easily adjusted to various open or closed positions.Overall we are very happy with the decisions we made and feel they did a great job.With little experience in shopping for window treatments, however, I was very surprised at how expensive these shutters were. I didn't do any com parison shopping because they were the company wtih the most favorable comments on Angie's List. I really liked their service and the shutters we purchased are of very good quality, but I don't consider spending $1250 (which represents a 25% discount) to be a Budget buy. Although I know you get what you pay for, perhaps they should rename their company.

Budget Blinds came out to do an estimate for blinds for our sunporch. We have not yet had this project done, but if we do, we will definitely be calling them to handle it. The representative was polite, on time, and listened carefully to what I was hoping to accomplish. I had initially been interested in lined woven wood shades, and he brought lots of samples (at comparable and/or lower cost than others I'd looked at). After he'd listened to what I needed, though, and learned that we have three small children and two dogs, he offered me another product as well - was very careful not to pressure me or try to change my mind, but the alternative product was really much more suited for my needs, and was actually lower-priced than the woven wood I'd been looking at. He was terrific and very helpful. I would not hesitate to use this company.

Nothing about this experience was even close to being completed on time. In some cases, several months (beyond the estimated completion date) went by before hearing anything about the products/services that I ordered.

The Budget Blinds sales rep that performed the estimate was very knowledgeable and professional. With this being a franchise business with several locations locally, and with some positive feedback from other customers, I gave them a chance to perform the service. After we agreed to the price, signed the contract, and paid about half of the purchase price, they agreed to install the blinds first in about 3 weeks and then the shutters two weeks afterwards (they take longer to manufacture we were told). With the exception of having to call and remind them to install the blinds, and we would wait the additional 2 weeks for the shutters vice installing all at the same time, they were exceptionally competent and very polite. I would highly recommend Budget Blinds if you want aesthetically pleasing and perfectly installed blinds or shutters. I would use them again without hesitation.

Having just completed this process in a previous home, I met with the owner of this blind company and requested an estimate. I knew exactly what I wanted and explained to him in great detail. The shutters came and were finally installed after 2 months. When I came home to see the work I was totally shocked. Not only did they install them improperly, the quality and craftsmanship were abysmal. The installer, the owner's son, had tacked what he called a 'light bar' on my windowsills at the base and at the top of every window frame that ran the entire length of the window. These hideous bars not only ruined my brand new windows with nails and an unsightly bar, they (I built a brand new home) prevent me from ever putting anything on my windowsills, i.e. plants, pictures, etc. and don't block out any additional light (their so called intended purpose). They were even mounted crooked. The worst part of this installation was they totally installed the shutters unlike I requested. I wanted my blinds to be flush with the walls when drawn open. They only went halfway. I specifically requested I wanted the shutter panes to be mounted so that when opened, they would be flush against the wall. He confirmed this was the case when he left my house originally after the estimate along with half the money. When I called him after the fact, he told me he didn't install them that way because it would prevent me from using the tilt feature on my window. I was very specific when I addressed this at our first meeting. I told him, I didn't care about the tilt feature, ' I don't clean my own windows and these can easily be accessed from outside the house.' His reply was that he always installs them this way. He then went into this lecture about how it hurts my resell value. I told him I didn't care and this was not what I wanted. He came back to mount one window and shutters as originally requested. He took off this 'light bar' which left holes and ripped paint in my windowsill and added a cheap two inch metal plate that should've been used in the first place as a magnet for the shutter to attach to when closed. The repair was so bad, I asked him to remove all the blinds if this was the best he could do. This was a brand new home and I didn't want my windows ruined anymore from their inept installation and sub-par product.
