Ted Cook Heating Service

They arrived on time and ready to go, The crew Ted had working for him are some of the hardest working people I have seen, They all are friendly and very polite. Ted was very informative and explained everything to me about the quotes and on the new systems He gave me plenty of options to choose from and helped me decide on what system made the most sense in my home. His guys worked fast and got the job done in just a few hours. They cleaned everything up after the install and made sure everything worked as it should. Ted also was very helpful in showing me how to use the equipment and what to do for registering it. I will never use or recommend anyone other than Ted, He was wonderful to work with and have do the install.

My HVAC system was making a constant noise, Ted had someone swing by, they fixed the problem and didn't charge us. He could have really taken advantage of us but chose not only to be honest, but really reasonable.

Called Ted Cook yesterday and he said someone would be out sometime the next day in the AM. He called one hour prior to arrival and tech showed up on time, He tested the unit and found that there was a leak in the unit and explained to me why it needed freon to get heat. He also showed me the gauges to show what was wrong. He tested the entire unit; replaced the defective parts and filled the freon. Corrected the problem and heat came out again. This is the second time I used Ted Cook and if I need help again I will call him.

It went very good, they showed up on time and finished on time too. They were very professional and easy to work with.

Jeff arrived within the timeframe expected, and was polite, professional and efficient. I've used Ted Cook's services a couple of other times and had similar results when Ted performed the services. Each time I've had HVAC problems, Ted has promptly responded with a return phone call (if he did not answer), and fixed the problem within a reasonable time. I especially appreciate the help I've gotten during off hours and weekends.

I spoke with Ted Cook when I set this appointment up. I like the professional attitude and prompt service. He send a represent out and he worked hard to be sure our system was performing at it's best. I will probably call on them again.

We've used Ted's company a couple times for service now, and each time they have done a fantastic job diagnosing and repairing the problem with our A/C - heat pump unit. We have a different brand of unit than Ted's company normally covers, but we got tired of trying to deal with the service companies the manufacturer of our furnace/heat pump recommends. But Ted's technicians, and Ted himself have been able to deal the problems on our furnace each time, have done it promptly and have always charged a fair price.

The technician was on time, polite, professional and very competent. He quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem. No hidden fees, no up charge and no up selling. Ted Cook and his crew are on my permanent list of go to service providers. Thanks Ted!

Two days after posting a B rating Ted called and left a message expressing his concerns and asking how he could make things right. My husband and I don't always have the ability to make or receive business phone calls during the day so out of consideration for the personal time of contractors we tend to send email requests. Apparently Ted had received our email but because of a non specific subject line had deleted it as spam. We called Ted that evening and he was willing to come and check the thermostat problem the next day. Unfortunately just before he was due a car took out our local transformer and we had no power. We called Ted and he said he'd be over Saturday morning. Again out of consideration for him we declined and he came over on Monday. He was able to recalibrate the thermostat and all seems well. We want to express our thanks to Ted and will in future telephone him when we need him or if we e mail will make sure the subject is clear. We had deliberately chosen a small local business for our install and are happy to find that that what the right thing to do.

Ted Cook is so wonderful. My termanilly ill mom was living with me a few years ago and my heat pump started blowing out cold air in the middle of winter. We called Ted and he said it was no problem, he would be by there that day to look at it. He advised that I might end up needing a new heat pump but said he would try something. It is now almost three years later and the heat pump is still working great! Ted is great and I would recommend his business to anyone!

Ted and his team did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. They were neat and respectful of our house and property (one of the units had to go up in the attic and the old unit had to come down. The units have been operation for a year plus and we are very pleased with their operation.

Received a fair quote and the install was on time and by the numbers. Professional and very knowledgable staff. Ted took the time to answer all of the questions I had about Trane and other brands. He didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need. A couple of the other companies that came to my house did not seem as knowledgeable and had nowhere near the support after the sale. Ted's knowledge of the business as well as his labor and parts warranty were key in my decision. I will likely be replacing my downstairs unit in the next year, and Ted will be my first choice.

I called Ted at about 4:00 in the afternoon. He didn't answer his phone so I left a message. He returned my call in about 5 minutes and apologized for not answering when I called (he was in a sales meeting). I told him my AC unit had stopped working and asked if he could come and repair it. He said that he would try to get to it if possible, but he had some other calls lined up. He didn't know how long those calls would take, but if possible he'd try to work me in (he was going to work until 7 PM). He said if he couldn't get there, he'd be out first thing in the morning if that was alright. I told him I understood and it wasn't a hot day so we'd make do. About an hour later, he called back to tell me he had a service man headed my way. Jeff arrived in about 30 minutes and started on the job. He had it back up and running by 6:45 and the charge was $65. Jeff was very polite and knew his business. My neighbor was so impressed that he came over and got their number in case he ever needed their service. I will definitely call Ted again if I have any HVAC work to be done.

Very concerned for my comfort and worked quickly to get my problems remedied. Very professional and easy to work with.

The best A/C company I've used in 25 years. They came out the same day and fixed the problem. He followed up the next day to check how things were running. I plan on using them in the future for more work

My air conditioner stopped blowing cold air during the night- the air flowed but the thermostats read over 80 degrees both upstairs and downstairs. I called at 11:45 am SUNDAY morning and Mr. Cook answered the phone. We discussed the situation and he promised to have someone out to my house today!! Mr. Cook called me back at 2:00 pm to let me know a serviceman would be at my house soon. The serviceman arrived around 2:15. He knew what the issue was right away, installed a new capacitor and COLD AIR IS FLOWING THROUGH THE HOUSE at 2:30 pm on SUNDAY. I would recommend Ted Cook to anyone who is looking for responsive, dependable air conditioning service. I appreciate the fact that they came so promptly to help a new customer!

It all went well from making the appointment to completing the repairs.

Ted took a personal interest in the project from beginning to end. He was knowable on the unit and honest about what would make the most sense at the best price. Other competitor only offer one option and were not forthcoming on details like delivery time of the unit. Ted was accurate on the delivery of the unit and installed the unit immediately. His crew was pleasant to deal with and knowable about what needed to be done. We had a small leak problem with a pipe and Ted came on Sunday and fixed it. I have now designated him as my heating and a/c go to company. We were pleased with the process and would highly recommend him.

My husband was there, I was not there but I guess he was doing what he was supposed to be doing.

Both of our central air units had not been cooling properly. I submitted a request to Ted Cook through Angie's List due to the reviews they had received. We were not disappointed! Ted contacted us promptly early the next business day and scheduled a technician to come out the next afternoon - we were in the midst of a string of over-95 degree days. The technician was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He was here for over an hour. Our units have been operating and cooling properly since the day the service was completed - even as the heat wave continues!

It worked out fine. We weren't getting any cool air. He didn't actually do anything he just gave me information and get back with me with a quote. I like the speed in which they responded. I would recommend them.

Incredible! Our renters called this morning at 9:10 AM to report that the A/C was no longer blowing cool air (it was to get to 104 degrees F today). Our usual HVAC company was out of pocket and couldn't help, so I was scrambling to find an alternative service provider who could get the job done today since my renters had family in town visiting. I had used Angie's list in the past for other service providers but not for HVAC, so logged in to my Angie's List account. I quickly scanned the highly rated HVAC service companies and was impressed with Ted Cook's 140 + A ratings and happy customers who had left reviews, so I gave him a call. Ted answered immediately, was very professional, straight forward, and transparent with me in how he operates his business and his commitment to his profession. He indicated that he would be able to investigate the HVAC unit at our rental property before the end of the day. He was able to get to us much sooner than I expected and our unit was repaired within 2.5 hours of my initial conversation with Ted. One of his service technicians, Jeff, was the one who performed the work. When I met Jeff, he was very nice and communicated what he had repaired (our unit required new refrigerant and had frozen up over the night. Our renter had turned off the unit, so it had melted prior to Jeff arriving.) It's an older unit, installed in 1999 and had never lost refrigerant in the past. Jeff also did a little extra by actually cleaning the top and sides of our unit and then put some wax type coating on it to repel water and to protect the metal. Ted indicated that he doesn't charge extra for weekend service and I took him up on his Angie's list special deal going on at the moment. The service call charge was included in the total we paid and it was very reasonably priced. Needless to say, I was very pleased and impressed with Ted Cook Heating Service and will definitely call them again for future HVAC repair needs that we have. Mr. Cook was very responsive to my initial call and in all other matters. He responded within ten minutes of my first call and it went that way to the end of the job. He went above and beyond in helping me understand my new system. I am grateful to him for providing fantastic service. There are a lot of households in my neighborhood that use his service. That is how I found out about him. Five stars from me!

Ted Cook and his employee were both very honest, kind people and they were able to give me a fair assessment of my broken air conditioning. Since they offer the "best of the best" air conditioning units, I wasn't able to afford their offer...but I would highly recommend them to anyone, and I hope to use them again one day if a problem arises.
