He was friendly and respectful. He walked me through the issues he was looking for and how to fix it.

Ted was fantastic. Seemed like we might have a gas leak, so I called the gas company who promptly shut down the unit and gave a somewhat grave diagnosis. Thought we would be out thousands! Ted was very responsive. Diagnosed the main issue over the phone and got to the house very quickly. He did an outstanding job of isolating the issue and explaining it to me. Took steps to minimize the cost. Could have taken me to the cleaners. I'm recommending him to everyone.

Ted came out himself on a Saturday, and did a fantastic job. Greatly appreciate him taking the time and will definitely be calling him for any future heating and cooling needs

He was real friendly, very reasonable and knew exactly what to do and look for. So it was real quick too, so it was very helpful.

We chose Ted Cook based on price, brand of system (Trane) he offered and the amount of time he spent explaining the system and how he would perform the installation. We got 3 quotes. The other 2 quotes were slightly higher and offered 2 well know brands (Carrier & Lennox). They both came out to look over our home & offer their quotes. I spoke to Ted over the phone and he never came out to our home but he pulled up all the information by looking up our home through a real estate web site. (He could have come out and did what the other 2 did - walk through our rooms, count number of vents, look at our system and write up their quotes) Ted was able to view our home over the internet and determine the size and AC system on the side of our house. He spent over an hour on the phone explaining what he felt we needed based on the size and type of system we had. He went into great detail of what he would do, what we should be concerned about and answering a multiple of questions we had. After reviewing Trane, Carrier and Lennox pros & cons, Angie' reviews, checking his BBB rating and reviews, his quote and the 2 others, we decided to go with Ted Cook. We weren't disappointed. His crew showed up yesterday (1/11/17) on time. They put down drop cloths in the area they worked. They were respectful, cleaned up after themselves and answered a few questions we had. They worked from 9 AM to about 3:30 PM. Ted came out shortly after they left to check on the work his crew performed, answered our follow-up questions and to talk to me about the system they installed. Ted Cook is a very thorough and honest contractor. He didn't try to quote for anything that wasn't needed. Always answered calls. Gave an execellent quote for an excellent system. Installation crew was great. Would hire again in a heartbeat.

They were professional, honest and very reasonable. I was not sure of the date of service, I just know it was over the summer so on the below request for date of service I just selected a day. I do however recall what great service they provided.

The technician came in on time, did the right diagnosis and found that the capacitor had gone bad. He replaced it and tada!!! the A/C started working.

I left a message early Saturday morning and Ted Cook got back to me by 9 am. He said the tech would be out around 2. The tech called at 1 pm and was at our house by 1:30. He diagnosed the problem quickly and had the part in his truck. Our air was back on and the charge was under $100. He also told us that should our air fail again in the next week or so, we would be put at the top of the list. He didn't try to sell us something that we didn't need, and he was very pleasant. We will definitely used Ted Cook in the future.

After interviewing several companies, we decided on Ted Cook based on prior reviews, price, and impression upon meeting him. Ted was very detailed in his explanations on what work would be involved and suggested improvements over our existing installation. The installation crew arrived on time. They provided draping to cover the carpet and took extra measures to prevent any messes to clean up after. The crew was very professional at all phases of installation and made sure everything was working correctly before they left.

It would be hard to ask for a better experience in getting a quote and having a heating and cooling system replaced. I have been extremely impressed with Ted's straightforward and honest approach to his business. I called him for a clogged water pan in our old system, and he gave me a quick and thorough review of what he found. I had been thinking of replacing the system, and asked for an estimate, which I had by email that same evening. I selected the mid-range system, and his installation team was scheduled to be at our home within 3 business days. He delayed the installation for 3 days because the carrier delivering the furnace had creased the bottom of the unit, and he does not install anything that is not in perfect condition, which I greatly appreciated. His crew, along with his brother Chuck, who attends all installations, arrived on time and installed the system exactly as described. I would recommend Ted to anyone I know without hesitation. It's priceless to find someone who does what they say at a fair price.

If you're looking for someone you can TRUST. This is the company to call. Ted is just a Stand Up Guy who will Do You Right ! My Parents died a year apart and getting the house ready to sell out of probate I found the Air was not cooling. I first called one of the Big Service providers listed. One that I had produced TV Commercials for a number of years ago. The guy came out checked the system, told me it was empty of refrigerant and filling it, finding the leak so it was good for sale would cost 6k dollars. I knew this just wasn't right. I decided to call someone else here on Angies List. Ted talked to me on the phone wasn't trying to rush me off the phone, was interested in all the details, we set up a time. He called on the day to let me know he would be over in 30 minutes. Not only was the system not empty it had 7lbs to the 10lbs needed. This alone according to the other company was to run big bucks to charge. Ted advised to see if it hold the charge, and if not call and he could do a leak trace THOUSANDS less than the other company quoted. Total spent $115 the other guy said 6 Thousand. Now this is the first time I've written a review on Angies list. I can't say enough good things about Ted. This is who you need to call !

Service provider was on time. He did an excellent job. I had no complaints. Went over and above.

Here's the best way I can think of to describe Ted Cook Heating: old-fashioned customer service meets the 21st century! Red-carpet treatment. Going the extra mile to the extra mile. I was very impressed with Ted Cook's honesty and treatment of me as a customer and will be recommending him to all of my friends.

The technician was professional and friendly. He added freon to the air conditioning unit. I had concerns about a leak in the unit and Ted answered my questions. I have used this company before. They provided service about a month or so ago for the same problem, so there was no charge for this visit. I will have them come back out to find the leak.

. It was 10 minute repair with the part costing 15.00. Total cost was under 50.00. I now have a new a heating and Air service provider. They very prompt and communicate very well.

I chose Ted Cook because of all the reviews I read on Angie's List and I am glad I did. My A/C was not cooling the house like it should, so I called Ted Cook as a new customer and he had a technician out the next day. After inspecting the A/C, the technician determined that the unit was low on Freon. We payed the bill and had cool air all night. The next day, (Saturday) we noticed that the air was blowing warm again. I called Ted Cook and he immediately called his technician to come out and inspect the unit. It was discovered that there was a part that needed replacing and since it was Saturday, we would need to wait until Monday. Ted came out with his technician on Monday to make sure everything was in working order. The part that needed replacing was very inexpensive so Ted did not charge me for it and he even gave me back my money for the Freon because it was not the problem. That shows me that Ted Cook is extremely honest and has a great deal of integrity. He has earned my trust and I will be calling Ted Cook for ALL my future HVAC needs.

Called Ted Cook mid week when I found that my current (15 year old) water heater had developed a slow leak.I had used them previously for some minor HVAC service and was very impressed by their honesty, responsiveness and professionalism. I was actually calling to ask for a referral to a plumber that met their standards. Ted answered the phone himself, and told me that they also offer tankless water heaters. We discussed my situation, he asked some questions and then suggested a tankless Noritz water heater. He said that he could get me on their schedule 5 or 7 days out but would try to get it done sooner. He called back the next day to schedule someone to drop by and assess the layout and installation possibilities. That visit (by Ted's brother Chuck) happened on Friday and we were on the schedule for Saturday(!). Ken (the installer) and Chuck arrived promptly at 8:30 Saturday morning (as promised) and started working. They had to: drain and remove the current unit from my basement, remove and terminate the water/gas/vent service to it, install the new unit on the side of the house, and connect it to electricity, the water and gas systems. Not a small project. With Chuck helping and occasionally running out for necessary parts, the install process took most of the day. Had Ken's usual helper been available, the three of them would have undoubtedly gotten it done in roughly half that time. I watched the entire process and was extremely impressed. Chuck had told me early on that Ken was an old school craftsman, a perfectionist, and would install it as if it was going into his own home. That turned out to be an absolutely accurate description of what I saw. Every single detail was attended to with care and no shortcuts were taken, although I saw many opportunities to do so. One small example: a piece of sheet metal needed to be cut to completely close the wall opening after all of the plumbing \was run through it. Most people (myself included) would probably have cut it, put it in place, caulked it and called it a day. I was surprised to see Ken hand folding the edges and crimping them to give the metal added rigidity. It's all in the details! Once the install was finished and tested, they cleaned up completely, double checked everything and left. I'm not generally inclined toward giving effusive praise like this, but I rarely (very rarely) run into companies that "do the right thing the right way", especially in a business like HVAC, where there are so many shady characters. As long as they keep their standards at the level I've seen, I'll be a Ted Cook customer.

When looking to replace my unit I researched and received 4 estimates. I choose Ted Cook because he was straight forward and offered the best price and service.. I'm glad I went with Ted Cook and Trane...

Not much else I can say than Ted won't steer you wrong. It's really refreshing to deal with an honest and reliable company like his and I won't use anyone else for my HVAC needs in the future. We just moved into our home and our downstairs unit stopped working. We tried to go through our home warranty company, which is a completely different story. The tech they sent out worried and confused us about our system and couldn't fix it or even recommend how to fix it. After fighting with the home warranty company for weeks we finally gave up and called Ted. He sent a guy out that was professional and knowledgeable. He looked at the wiring for both the upstairs unit and the downstairs unit and quickly confirmed that something was just blown. In less than 2 hours they did what another tech and the home warranty company couldn't do in three weeks. I highly recommend Ted and his guys.

I called Ted Cook to fix my gas air unit since it stopped working. The technician inspected the unit and it was a simple fix and he only charged an inspection service call. I was very pleased and will Ted Cook again.

My 2 original AC units had to be replaced. I had used Ted Cook previously to check my furnaces last year, based on his being local and highly rated here on Angie's List and was happy with his service, so I called him to check my AC units one of which was not working at the end of the season last year. The Tech found that the lower unit was done (29 years old) and since I was given a discount by changing both 29 year old units at the same time I decided to get 2 new units. Ted said he could get his install team over the next day, which I elected to do. The guys came over the next day, and were polite, efficient, and hard working. They installed the units within a few hours and I was extremely pleased with the whole process. Its nice to know If I have any furnace or AC problems, I know where to go. Thanks Ted Cook & crew!
