MODERN HOUSING

Overall it was a disaster from the beginning...from not meating any of the deadlines, to not meeting all the specs..Had multiple subs that left the job site with their job unfinished and never returned due to personal conflicts with Modern Housing(the General Contractor) Finally a Horton Homes REP had to come and oversee the completeion of the house because of so many delays...I had to close on the house with a LONG punch list still left because of the long time period and the construction loan was about to expire. So I closed on the house and it was supposed to be move in ready....it was very far from it...after Mr. Stukes got his check, he would never return the phone calls to correct the other problems listed on the punch list, I had RAW SEWAGE draining into the crawl space under my new home for weeks before I noticed the horrible odor, Since then , I have discovered that I now live in a MONEY pit. I have had to have lots of things repaired that were not done correctly in the beginning. I still have rott to repair in exterior door jambs that were not properly installed. Have had 2 major roof leaks to be repaired as well....I wouldnt let this company build a dog house for me, much less a 140,000 home to live in. What a HORRIBLE experience.....I hope that I can keep anyone else from going thru this same type of experience.
