I set up an appointment to get an estimate for privacy fence at 2:00 on Friday, July 20. I had to cancel two personal appointments to fit that estimate into my schedule. After waiting 30 minutes with no show, I called Midlands Fence only to be sent directly to voicemail and mailbox was full. I gave up after several attempts to reach them. At the very least, I would’ve appreciated a call to let me know there would be no estimate yesterday. I would not have wasted 2 hours of my valuable time waiting for Midlands Fence.

They did a good job and I was very pleased. They arrived on time, worked until they completed the project, and were very professional and courteous. Before they left, Cody made sure that I was pleased with the finished product which I appreciated very much. I would definitely hire them again.

Cody responded quickly to my request for an estimate. He seemed the most knowledgeable and had a grasp on what I was looking for. He was not the cheapest quote but he was also not the most expensive. He and his crew started on time and finished ahead of time. I'm pretty sure none of the other contractors would have worked so quickly. They were personable, courteous, fast workers and cleaned up everything when they were done. He was able to accommodate and update last minute changes, like adding an additional gate. He also gave us a good quote on painting our fence, so we had him paint the fence a few months after the wood had cured. Our fence looks great, and we get compliments on it all the time!

They never even returned my phone call to get a price.

After soliciting two bids for a large, multi-level deck, we hired Midlands Fence. Cody not only had the best bid but also seemed really enthusiastic to carry out the many custom designs my husband had been scheming on. He stopped by a couple times to answer questions and figure out how to fit the four hexagonal decks we wanted in among the trees in the area beside our pond; he also emailed photos to help us decide about a few alternative ideas. We didn't have to wait too long before the Midlands Fence crew arrived to start our project. We couldn't help ourselves and revised things a little bit during the building process, but they took it all in stride. In just three days they completed an amazing deck with four uniquely-shaped levels, planter boxes, a built-in storage bench, and a custom arbor/pergola over the top. The guys cleaned up after themselves and left the area nice and neat. We are very happy with our new deck and highly recommend Midlands Fence. Cody is a perfectionist who enjoys getting creative with his decks and takes a lot of pride in his work--a winning combination all the way around for us!

Excellent service. Cody showed up on time explained how the work was to be done and the time it would take to finish. The process was executed flawlessly.

They did a great job. Even though the weather was rainy and miserable, they came out an finished the deck in less than two days! They were very flexible and worked with us on dates and specs. They are very responsive, punctual, polite and reasonably priced. I will definitely use them again and again and recommend them to others.

Did not show up as promised. My husband is a double amputee and could not inspect upper fence. Large gap left; dogs easily got through. When we called person said couldn't do anything as contract stated only fixed problems identified at time of completion. Said couldn't put post at other fence as concrete poured. There was a piece of old concrete laying there but I (female) easily removed. Not sure how that shows cleaning fence line. Fence not to ground so I have had to lay large concrete blocks along entire 50 feet as fence left enought off ground that dogs can dig under. Owner did call back later and sent someone out to close gap which did with wood fence not post. They used dry concrete for posts which would have been fine if clened up. But left it around my dog waste disposal and since rain has hardened and I can't open. I rotate 2 so this one not recently used. I had to take pick ax and break up concrete. We were going to use them to fence my daughter's yard but obviously not now

Midlands Fence responded in a professional and timely manner. Even followed up a couple of days later to determine if we had made a decision regarding the provider for the installation.

Did an awesome job, the quality and workmanship is great. Our yard was small and kind of on a angled hill which seemed like it would create a much harder job but that didn't stop them. They made it look so nice!!! We've referred two people already. One is definitely getting a fence built by them, the other was getting a quote. Would definitely use again if needed. Super nice guys that know what they are doing but at affordable price.

It went very well. Although he worked by himself, we were amazed at how much he accomplished. The work was completed in just a few days and it is a great improvement to our property. We were extremely satisfied.

Looking to get a quote on a fence, I went to their website and sent an email asking for more information. I never received a reply. I decided to call and I got an appointment set up for a Friday. I waited all day Friday and never heard from them and finally called late that afternoon. I was told that the quote appointment had been put down for Saturday by mistake, but I said that was okay and would expect to see them tomorrow. They never showed. I decided to use a company (Creative Fence by Roger) that did show up. ***Update 1-2015*** I did contact this company and have provided Angie's list with the dated email as proof. After talking to someone (not Cody) two times, Midlands Fence left me waiting at home on two different days for an onsite estimate only to never show or call. I have receipts to prove I am real and that I did install a fence in May of 2014.

Thing was great and I liked the guy a lot. He came out and did a great job. I was not home when he came and he did a great job. He cleaned up after himself and I would call him again.

When I called Cody last week, he said he didn't have my quote on him and he would have to call me back the next day when he had my quote in front of him. He was not terribly pleasant on that phone call, but I chalked it up to having a bad day. Well, he never called me back. Now, I know that sometimes people just forget, so I called and left a voicemail. Still, no call from Cody. So, I have gone with another provider.

Cody Gillespie removed old (very ugly) front deck of the house and replaced it with a beautiful, sturdy and larger deck. He worked from a picture I had sent to him. He left the site in excellent clean condition. I plan to hire Mr. Gillespie again in the near future for more projects. He is excellent.

Cody Gillespie very patient as I changed my mind about the kind of fencing that I wanted at least 3 times. He answered questions promptly and was a big help in the decision making process. Fence installed in miserable weather with good cheer. Looks very sturdy; large exuberant dog well contained. Minimal amount of landscaping disturbed. I recommend him without any hesitancy.

I called Midland Fence on a Wednesday and spoke with Cody. He said that he could meet with me the next day. The next day he called with 30 minutes lead time and when he arrived he promtly gave me a written estimate with start and completion date that was 10 days away. The next day Cody called and due to having a slight delay from the aluminum fence manufacturer, he would be 3 days later, which was perfectly fine as we were in no rush.He did show up actually a day early and installed our fence and it looks great.

The fence looks very good. He showed up as promised and worked quickly and efficiently. Once the job was completed he cleaned up and left everything looking good.
