DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. We contracted this person to install a new HVAC unit in our home to replace an old an inefficient unit that was having problems with leaking freon -as you would imagine the electric bills for running this unit were kinda high. Gary Lones had the lowest price, so we went with him. He was a seemingly nice and professional individual until the point where he had to stand by some shoddy work he did, at which point he was a nightmare to deal with. The first sign of problems came a few months later, the coils on our brand new unit had a crack in them, so he repaired them under the manufacturing warranty. During the first year, while the unit was still under his personal warranty, we had a small water leak from the air handler in the attic and he fixed that too. About 13 months after the unit was installed, we had a major leak in the attic, he came out, went in the attic said there was a loose fitting on the drain pan and that he had fixed it, so we continued to run our AC. We also purchased an service plan from him at this point, in case of any other problems we might encounter. $115 that would cover parts & labor for an entire year. That night while we were sleeping, water continued to leak from the air handler, down through our wall between our master bedroom & bathroom causing quite a bit of damage. Evidently he didn't fix the problem. At this point he refused to come back and look at the unit, so we had to hire another HVAC professional to fix the problem. They discovered that Gary Lobes had not installed the drain lines correctly at all, and that the unit was not tilted the way it was supposed to be at installation, this was causing the leak in our attic due to water inside the unit being unable to drain properly. Gary refused to honor his service agreement that we purchased. He also refused to return many of our calls to get our money back and have his liability insurance cover the $1300 in damages done to our home. When we threatened to attend a church he locally pastors at, he agreed to pay us back the service agreement and half our damages. It was a personal check, so it doesn't appear he has liability insurance. At this point we figured that was all we would get out of him, and better than nothing. Unfortunately we also had to pay $600 for another HVAC professional to fix the problems Gary created during installation. We would have come out cheaper, hiring the highest quoted bid from our initial search for a reputable HVAC installer!! Also, our electric bills are higher now in the high peak winter and summer months than they ever were with our old inefficient unit. It seems he doesn't know how to pick the right AC unit for a space.
