They came out cut several holes in my wall, then told me the leak was in my foundation and I had to call someone else to find the leak, they did not do that! I found another plumber who could find the leak and repair it, they told me James Plumbing should have cut holes in my wall because there was no water leaking in my house. James plumbing then sent me a bill for over $150 and they fixed nothing, just caused damage. When I went to James plumbing to show them pictures and discuss the bill, the owner, James threatened me with violence and followed me to the street trying to fight me. I filed a police report and plan on going to court to dispute the bill. Terrible business, the owner should be arrested!

Had a sewer line backup in downstairs bathroom. Company sent plumber to inspect and clear. A snake was run and no clog found. Problem is that the sewer line runs from point A to point B to point C. A is the toilet. B is the house line cleanout on the outside of the house. C is the tap into the city sewer line. The plumber snaked from point B to point C. Nothing was done from point A to point B, and yet the plumber declared that he could not find anything, packed up and left - after giving me a bill, of course. The plumber essentially ignored all questions I had about the work performed and just left. I have posted the following comment on the company's website and got no response. They have been paid. On August 10, 2015 I had service performed at my home by your technician, Harry. Invoice 104675. A few days before, I had experienced a sewer line backup into a bathroom toilet on the lower floor, overflowing onto the floor. Quite messy. Prior to the technician coming, I had cleaned the area and plunged the toilet to remove the raw sewage from the room. The plunging required was a considerable effort, much more so than a small clog. This is a bathroom that is rarely used and the toilet had not been used in several years, but the backup was no more than a couple of weeks old. On arrival the technician accessed the cleanout on the side of the house through which all house lines empty to the city line at the street. He could not see anything in the cleanup, so he ran what I guess was a snake attached to a motor driven unit from the cleanout all the way to the street. He removed the snake and packed up his tools. His information for me was that he couldn't find anything. I understand that if nothing's there, nothing's there, but my concern was that the problem was either not detected or could come back. I asked him what I was supposed to do and he replied that I should call the city and have them run a camera from tap to sewer line to rule out a city side clog. My question to him was, what if the clog is between the toilet and the cleanout at the side of the house. He said that it might be there but he couldn't check that because there was no cleanout accessible from where the upstairs lines come down to the lower level before the toilet.(This is a raised beach house with a laundry room and this one bathroom on lower level, all at stand up height.) I then inquired if it were possible to either snake or examine the line from the toilet out by taking the toilet fixture up to access the line. He replied that it was possible, "but that would be a lot of trouble, and that I might have to dig up the whole line." Far be it from me to want to cause a lot of trouble to someone I'm paying by the hour, but lifting up a toilet fixture and replacing it did not seem like a big deal, considering that I have done that myself many times, and I'm not a plumber. He wrote out my bill, packed up and left. I am now just waiting for this clog and overflow to happen again. I am totally unsatisfied with the technician's - and thus your company's- handling of my problem. It is my nature to just be ticked and let this go, vowing to just never use your company again and share my experience and opinion with any friend who might inquire and to share on Angie's List. However, my wife insisted that any boss would want to know how I felt. Thus, this message. I neither expect nor ask anything else from you company.

We have a shower in our rental unit that had very little pressure, half of the water was coming out the shower head and the rest from the faucet. We called out an independent plumber and was told that he would need to cut through the wall on the other side of the bathroom to get to the plumbing. We decided to get a second opinion and since we had seen James Plumbing doing repairs in our neighborhood, we decided to give them a call. He came out the next morning and was able to fix it without cutting through the wall on the other side. He was very professional and the price was very reasonable.
