Designer - Landscape
Due to heath I was no longer work in my yard, so I decided to have front yard landscaped. I chose Wingard's knowing that they probably would be a little higher, but would produce the vision I had of a well designed yard to complement the front of my house. Well, I was SO wrong!!! What I got was a yard that looked worse than the yard I had. It ended up full of Nut Sedge (which I have NO where else in my yard!) that has spread like wild fire in through its ground runners and what I have ended up with is a $10,000 VERY HOT MESS!!! In the 30 years of living here, this yard has never looked so lacking and awful!!!!
I was expecting a picture perfect yard, not the picture perfect mess I now have!!!

One of the pindo palms died other one is doing fine. We are still waiting on a call back...
In August, our landscaper and I went in to purchase pindo palms ($350 each) and other plants. Everyone was very friendly. The owner, Wally, met us. In talking about purchasing the palm trees I asked if we could purchase a warranty for a year (as this was an option at other nurseries.) Wally explained they guarantee their product for a year with no additional fee. At the point of sale, I was very happy with the service and knowledge of the staff.
Two weeks after the plants were installed; one of the pindo palms didn't look good. We called and they told us to take some pictures. So we went to the nursery and they advised us to wait a little longer due to the amount of rain we had received. We went back on 9/7/14 with additional pictures and spoke to David. He agreed to replace the palm because it was within a month. He had no idea why Wally would tell us we had a year. The situation left us feeling very uncomfortable, but we were ok since they replaced the plant. (We had to plant it and purchase additional soil conditioner.)
We planted it exactly as they told us with the soil conditioner they sold us. After two weeks, this one started to look ill as well. We called and left messages. We called again and left messages. Finally, we got a call back from David two weeks later. He said he had been busy, didn't know why the plant wasn’t making it but would stop by to look. Two weeks later (after more phone calls), David comes by. He tells us he's taking pictures and working with the supplier to understand why it's dying while one a few feet away is doing great. We left message after message for David, but we still have not heard.
Unfortunately, we spent $350 on a plant that died within 2-weeks of being planted. While the other plants and palm are doing well with no help or explanation. The lack of follow through and call backs are why we would be skeptical of using this nursery again.

It is a family run business. They come out and they talk about and explains to you, what kind of nutrition may need, it is a very one-on-one service. I plan to use them again.

I like them. I told the person what I was trying to do and he helped me to select appropriate plants and flowers to fit in with what I was doing. It turned out very well. They were a bit pricey.
