We had an amazing experience with Saluda Landscaping! We first met with Lynnea at our home, whose been at Saluda for over six years, it was impressive to know she has a horticultural degree to add to her experience and knowledge. She listened to and assessed our exterior with her vision and care, she took in everything we said, our concerns and our wish to transform the exterior look of our home. A landscaping design was created and after our review and approval, we were on the schedule rather quickly. A crew of men came, managed by Robert and led daily by Juan. They confirmed the plans and got to work early each day. What’s so refreshing is each time something came up that was important, such as retaining wall layout, placement of lights or plants, or a need to adjust plans, our input was needed and respected. Our home looked so ugly before Saluda came out, it was embarrassing, we did not have a sprinkler system, landscaping or lighting and had terrible drainage around the home. Saluda not only has professionals that know what they’re doing but they truly care about the job they do and want their clients to be thoroughly satisfied. My family, friends and neighbors are amazed at the transformation of how beautiful our landscaping has turned out: our new sprinkler system bringing efficiency and saving time with watering, gorgeous exterior lighting that highlights our new retaining wall and home, front and side piping, drains and rocks to route water where it’s needed and beautiful plants, trees and shrubs to finally make this home stand out. We had a few other local companies come out to give their input and bids and found that Saluda is very reasonable for the scope of work needed. They worked with our budget and the other bids and appreciate our military service with a discount. What was a huge deciding factor aside from price was the responsiveness, the detailed estimate and explanation of work and timeframe. We will have future projects and will definitely have Saluda back and will always recommend them because of their ability to get the job done right in every aspect of the process from start to finish.

We lost all the lawn in the front yard; Saluda Hill recommended pulling it all up, grade and backfill, install St. Augustine of 5 pallets. My husband felt very comfortable with Shawn (after 4 quotes from other companies) he was professional and cared. They used all the right equipment, grass was beautiful and green and is still beautiful. Our last St. Augustine grass lasted 23 years and we wanted to go with the same grass. We would absolutely use them again.

Starting with the design, Phil and Richard were so patient and attentive to our needs and style and what they came up with was truly wonderful. It was even better than what we had hoped for and encompassed all our desires for a modern, beautiful, and fully functional landscape design. When it came time to do the install, the Saluda Hill team was there everyday, always willing to listen and answer our questions. The team's dedication to detail and wanting to ensure our happiness was something we will always be grateful for and is rare to find. Everyone from the supervisors to the crew members were friendly, helpful, and always complimentary of our home. We could tell they took great pride in their work and were personally invested to see our project completed to the best of their ability despite the fact that the size and scope of our project was significant with many difficult challenges. We also appreciated how Saluda Hill was able to handle all of our landscaping needs. From design to install, lighting to irrigation, and ongoing maintenance, it was great to know we could trust one company to handle any and everything related to our landscaping project. As a final testament to their excellence, Phil and the entire Saluda Hill team have been incredibly generous and thorough with any and all follow-up requests. They never failed to return our calls or get back to us quickly and they always worked to resolve problems quickly and professionally. They even helped us after several major storms with problems that were not their fault but due to mother nature only. That is just who they are. We would recommend Saluda Hill without hesitation as the rare company that has the resources to handle any project but still provides the personal attention that is so important when building your dream home!

The designer was able to create exactly what I wanted and the crew that came out to install the project brought it to life. The crew that did the work was very considerate and hard working. I was impressed with how quickly they completed the work and I was very pleased with the outcome.

Would not hire this company again.! After confirming installation date, they changed the date and was never contacted. The installation crew was unprofessional, didn't clean up after the job, and made comments like "Can't wait to get home, it's Friday". Was told that centipede sod would be installed. It turned out to be bermuda grass. Three managers came out and since the sod was dormant, was told to wait. Now that it is clearly visible that the sod is bermuda, and admitted by a new manager, they never get back to you. One manager, Lee, came out and was asked to show us how to set the timer in divided zones. He said he was never shown how to do that??? Another manager, Sean admitted that the drip lines were installed incorrectly. Be careful when you hire companies like this with the worst customer service there is.!

Based on recommendation of someone in construction business I contacted them about giving me an estimate to top dress my lawn with sand to help level it out. Newly constructed house and grass was in, but very bumpy. Made an appointment in about Feb. 2013 and looked at my yard. Told me about how much sand it would take and said he would call back in a couple of days to give me a quote. Said shouldn't have it done till about first of May to make sure no more freezes after putting in the sand. Two months went by and never heard from them. Called them back and talked to man who originally came out. He said he remembered coming out but didn't know how much sand it would take. I told him the amount he told me to begin with. Said he would have to come back and measure yard again. Made appointment to come out the next morning. Never showed up. They may do great work, don't know. But they are NOT responsive at all. Never have heard from them.

They are a Very professional company. From the outset, I felt very comfortable with their presentation and ability to do the work. They more than delivered! great company! Great results! We shopped other companies and found no one compared to the value, expertise and ablilities of Saluda Hill.

They are very prompt and professional. Their estimates are accurate.

We had a house built and the landscaping package that came with the house was provided by Saluda Hills. This company did the irrigation system, plants, grass, and grading of the property. Because of the slope of the property, french drains were supposed to be put in to help with the drainage. This was not done properly. My front yard was so saturated with water that you could stick your entire arm up to your shoulder through the dirt and grass;. When we complained about the problem I was told "the water table is high this year." If that was the case being that my yard continued to go down hill into a pond, my entire yard would be underwater. Then after going back and forth several times it was discoved that the french drain was not done properly. They had simply put the tube in the ground without the sleeve to prevent clogging. Finally after much arguing and stress and having my entire front yard and side yard dug up, the french drain problem is mostly fixed. We since have replaced nearly the entire irrigation system, and switch out all of the plants that came with the house. Fortunately we did not have to pay for their service because it was still covered under warranty.
