Description of Work: Mr.Polk reupholstered an old chair. He was very up front about the process and the costs. He did an excellent job. I'm now enjoying my brand new looking chair.

Description of Work: Recovered chair with fabric we provided. Rebuilt seat of chair with plywood and web insert and recovered chair cushions. Arms had broken padded rattan insets which were stapled on. He removed and replaced these with padded fabric. Top quality professional work throughout and returned when promised. Chair more comfortable than before and have not found any defect. Am very pleased and fully satisfied with both work and service. Thought price was very reasonable and competitive.

Description of Work: dave came to our home and gave us an estimate for reupholstering an antique wingback chair. his estimate was very reasonable considering the tattered condition of the chair. when the chair was delivered to us you would have thought the chair had been completely protected for 150 years. he did an absolutely beautiful job. it looked like a brand-new 150 year old chair. i would highly reccommend dave for any upholstery work. this was a particularly difficult job.

Description of Work: Mr. Polk upholstered 2 club chairs that had been my parent's. The chairs were old, been abused by cats in every possible way, and needed a whole lot of work. I supplied the material, asked for brads to be re-applied, and the chairs came back looking like a million bucks. He is like a plastic surgeon of furniture; you send him a piece that needs help and it comes back looking like a picture from Southern Living.

Description of Work: We had an older glider chair that needed some repair to the 'canvas seat support / spring' combination piece. Fairly unique requirement but this piece was required to be able to continue using the chair.
