DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I made an account to specifically share my story about this company. They do poor workmanship, will mislead you every step of the way as they try to assist you, and do not make good on their word when resolving disputes. My wife and I needed to get a new HVAC and air handler in early 2021. We used this company and signed up for their advantage program. The units were installed and we agreed to a monthly payment until the equipment and was paid in full. As part of the deal, we were supposed to get free service appointments, etc. Almost immediately after the install, we noted that our air wasn't working properly. The unit would blast loudly almost like a rocket taking off, it wouldn't keep our home cool through the summer, interior humidity was through the roof, and our electric bills skyrocketed. I called and made numerous complaints. Each time, a service technician would come out and review the equipment, tell me it was fine, and let me know that they "Needed to make some small adjustments and we'd be fine." After two years of complaining, they finally sent out the service manager for the entire location, Mr. DJ Flynn. Upon looking at my exterior HVAC unit for maybe 5 minutes, he recognized on sight that my unit was supposed to be equipped with "two stage cooling" but it wasn't enabled for some reason. This was causing the home to try and enable a second gear when it wasn't cooling fast enough, but since it was not properly enabled, the unit was pumping hot air into the home. This created a feedback loop where my air was constantly running without cooling the home, raising my bills and leaving us extremely uncomfortable. Mr. Flynn noted the following errors with my install: - The exterior compressor was incorrectly wired to disable two stage cooling - The air handler was incorrectly wired to disable two stage cooling - The zone board was not properly programmed for two stage cooling - The fan speed was turned to maximum high, causing the loud noises and further drain on electric bills - The wires leading to the thermostats which would control two stage cooling HAD BEEN CLIPPED AND TUCKED BACK INTO THE WALL BY THE ORIGINAL INSTALLERS Mr. Flynn essentially admitted that the original installers must have elected not to enable two stage cooling as it requires extra work, essentially admitting that I received a negligent install. He apologized for the inconvenience and was able to rewire and fix the unit in a matter of hours. My wife and I dealt with over 2 years of higher electric bills and discomfort simply because representatives from Midland Air Service Experts (both the original installers and every single workman sent after - no less than 4 people) were too stupid or lazy to diagnose the issue and wire the unit correctly. Due to the high electric bills, I lodged a complaint with the company. I had to deal with the senior leadership (managers) and legal/billing departments due to the severity of this issue. They agreed to transfer ownership of all equipment over to me, cancel my Advantage Program membership, and charge me no further money. I was also assured that any paperwork that might encumber the deed to my home (such as a UCC-2 filing) would be removed immediately. I received confirmation of all of this in writing via a letter from the company dated July 29, 2024. I tried to engage in a simple home refinance in August of '24. I discovered that Midlands Air Service Experts had taken no action to remove the UCC-2 filing on deed. I discovered on 10/2/24 that, in spite of the above, the company had processed ANOTHER two recurring credit card charges. I was billed on 8/25 and 9/25, both well after my account was supposed to be closed. I called to complain about the charges, and the representative who answered the phone looked me up and told me that MY ACCOUNT WAS STILL ACTIVE IN THEIR SYSTEMS. In conclusion, this company does poor work, will lie to your face, and does not follow through on their promises. Use literally anyone else for your needs.

These people are the worst. They are only nice when trying to make a sale. After you give them your money, they change up and are just the most horrible. Lies lies, and more lies. Then you get dismissed when upset over being swindled.

Have annual service contracts on two heat pump units that I purchased from Midland 10 years ago. While servicing the units the tech adviced me one unit was leaking refrigerant from the coils and the coils would need to be replaced ($2500) or a new air handler ($4500). I objected. Called another company who inspected the unit and advised the coils were not leaking. Midland had replaced the reverse control valve the year prior on this unit and that was the source of the refrigerant. Otherwise the unit was in good condition but the coils needed cleaning. I had paid Midland for ten years to annual inspect and service the units and I was shown this had not been done. In the end, the second company charged me less than $200 for a service and saved me at least $2500 while opening my eyes to how thoroughly I was being ripped off.

Tech showed up without his equipment to properly fix my problem. Tech requested could he return the next morning. 1230pm the next day no one had showed up and no call. I called the Midlands Air and was told the Tech had other calls. I think I should had been priority because of the previous days events. The office said he would arrive in 30 m. I called back at 230 because there was no tech plus no call. I called back at 430, same thing. I told them not to bother. Insult to injury, the office tried to collect for a service call, I refused.

When they first installed it after a couple of days we noticed that it wasn't working. We called them and they came right out. The soldering job that they did when they installed it didn't take and it had spilled the whole Freon so they had to redo it. They came right out. We did not have to wait. They sent out 2 workers. They did clean up the area when they were done. They did communicate with me about what was going on when my air conditioner did not work.

I've used them for years. I have always felt them to be a company that their technicians who come to do the twice a year maintenance must be paid on a commission because every time they always try to sell me something. I've gotten to the point that when they come I say I want you to service my unit and do not try to sell me something. It's become very obvious. He is still trying to sell me solar panels. I tell him I am 70 something and I will never get my money back on those panels. If there is something wrong with the unit fine but don't try to sell me something. I have a contract with them. I didn't have to buy anything extra. I ask for the same person all the time so I understand what he is going to do and I am able to cut thru the BS. It's $144 a year and it's been that for a long time. I think the price is fair. He is always late. They schedule the appointment from 8 and 10 and they have a meeting at 8 so he never gets here till 10. I'm scared to make the appointment at 11 cause he may not be here till 12.

I've had good results in keeping my heating and air condition systems up. They are a good company. They do it at a reasonable price. They are always here when they say they are going to be here. I have no complaints. The people are well dressed. They respect the house and all. They are a good company. They call in advance. You can't ask for more than that. They are always cleanly dressed and put on booties to walk in the house. I've had them for about 5 years.
Description of Work: They come out twice a year for Spring and Fall and keep the system running. They came in June. I have an annual contract that costs $144.

I am a 31-yr. customer of Midland Air and bought a new HVAC system from them about 6 yrs. ago. It has worked fine except for a dehumidifier they have never replaced and a vibration noise in the furnace fan they have never fixed. I stopped calling after 4 months of trying and them sending out techs who can't seem to fix or replace mechanical parts correctly. Now, because of a technician's carelessness, a recent AC tune-up required 2 separate visits to complete (Mar. 30 and Apr. 10, 2015) and has caused damage to my exterior compressor. The 1st technician failed to hook back up a fan wire on my outdoor compressor when he completed his tune-up. After 2 warm days and 1 very hot day in early April, I discovered that the AC was not cooling at all, so I called. Midland sent out another service tech who discovered the problem with the fan wire. By that time, my compressor had been running constantly for 40 - 48 hrs. and was overheated (no fan running to cool it). Altho' the 2d technician tried to assure me that there would be no residual problem, I know for a fact that this has shortened the life of my new system. The compressor was working perfectly until this happened. Another HVAC expert has estimated that I will now have to replace the compressor within 3 - 5 yrs, and Midland is not likely to replace it for free! To top it all off, 2d technician left my hose lying uncoiled in the yard (it had been spooled on a mount when he arrived) with the water running. Since I did not discover this until 24 hrs. later, I now have a nice fat water bill. I don't do sloppy, unprofessional, or costly clean-up work, and I don't like to receive it. That's why I am submitting this review.

I have a contract with them. I have been using them for more than 20 years. I like their reliability. I have not compared them to other providers when it comes to price.
Description of Work: One man from Midland Air Service Experts came out for a semi annual inspection and general maintenance and it took him about an hour and a half. He checked the functioning of the units and did the cleaning within the units that was necessary, and changed filters.

Our compressor went out exactly 12 days after the warranty ran out. Midlands air attempted to get the manufacturer to make good on the warranty and when they declined Midland Air stepped up and helped with the cost of the compressor. We've used Midlands Air for years and they have always been honest and professional.

TERRIBLE!!! Heating and air units were never maintained appropriately. Individuals always put down(blamed) the technician that was there previously, even though they were some the same company. Left a mess everytime. Very poor service. The real issue is incompetence.
Description of Work: We had an annual contract with Service Expert for the past 10 years. During this time, we have had to replace the duct work, air conditioner and put a dehumidifier in the crawl space under the house. Service Experts were responsible for maintaining and servicing all equipment. THEY DID NOT!!!!! The dehumidifier, which they installed, never worked properly. The duct work was not sealed properly and there was always a problem that required more money than the original maintenance fee.

We called the company called Midland Air (this week) to come and look at our system that quit on us. After getting 6 different quotes, Midland Air was anywhere from 1,000 to 2,300 higher than the others. They exclusively deal with Lennox. I called and was informed by the Lennox manufacture that there was a rebate for the system I was quoted however was never informed of this rebate. I called Midland Air to confirm and left a message asking about the rebate and was never contacted back. They are very eager to sell you a system, but do your homework...
Description of Work: The tech came and was very professional and we were told that we needed another one. The technician set us up to meet the salesperson on a quote for a new system. We meet with the salesperson that was very nice and professional and got our quote however I wanted to get several more quotes before deciding to spend $10,000.

They made an error when figuring the bill initially and they charged me extra money. They did not clean up after themselves. They don't appear to be able to fix a unit that they initially installed. They do not show up on time, they are late by many hours.

Been with them for a couple of years. Service has been great. This last appointment was disappointing. I was given a service appointment window from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. At 9:15 I received a call informing me that the technician would be at my home in about 15 to 30 minutes. At 10:00, I called them and was transferred to the dispatcher's voice mail. At 10:15, I called again and then was told that the technician called in sick and they would get someone else to come. I was put on hold and then was told a technician would be at my home between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The technician came at 12:30 p.m. Hopefully this is an isolated case.

Quoted me a price on a new heat pump and zone system. Salesman told me the equipment I was buying was elgible for a $1000 rebate (also wrote it on contract). After equipment was installed I received a $350 rebate check. After several unreturned emails and calls to salesman, the salesman finally answered and blamed it on Lennox. I received another $450 rebate check, but am still owed $200. Salesman will no longer answer my emails or phone calls. Lied to my face. Also the "highest end" system they installed does not work any better than my builders grade system I replaced and makes a lot of noise. The only reason I did not give them an F is because the actual installation guys were good.

They are very professional; if I make an appointment, they keep to that appointment. We specially ask for one person to do it who knows what he is doing, and he comes out and does a good job twice a year. We don't have any problems fortunately because of the maintenance. I will be using them tomorrow. I will continue to use them in the future.
