Lucas Insulation

The crew provided professional and fast service, they were in and out within 4 hours. Overall a good experience, but a couple of negatives to mention. The crew could have taken more care in cleaning up. Someone in the crew broke the light bulb in my attic fixture, it would have been nice if they had replaced it before leaving. In the initial installation, they forgot the attic tent. The positives for me outweighed any negatives. Of the 3 vendors I met with, Mr. Lucas was the most professional, and obviously valued my time as much as his own. He adequately answered my questions, and provided a competitive bid. I appreciated that this is a family run business. Charles or his wife personally answer the phone and set appointments. As for the attic tent, I was impressed that Mr. Lucas personally delivered and installed the attic tent on Christmas Eve.

The installers arrive on time, accessed to work to be completed. They provided the insulation necessary to reach code, then cleaned up after themselves. Instructed me on what was necessary to pay by credit card since I decided not to pay by check.

They did an incredible job. They were clean. They were professional and punctual.

The second floor of my house has sloped ceilings with very poor insulation. I remove all the paneling and old insulation then Charles Lucas and company came to install open foam insulation. Their quote was more than a year old but they still did the work for that price. They came exactly when they were suppose to and finish on schedule. Only one thing I regret. We miss communicated on whether I planned to replace the carpet. I had not planned on replacing it but they though if was to be replaced so they didn't cover it like they normally would have. So there are some spots of insulation on the carpet that I can't get up. Even so the upstairs is useable now. Warm in January and hopefully cool in August.
