Saturday evening, getting on Sundown, and my wife pulls me away from an important government financial report to tell me we have no water in the house. She's already checked the circuit breaker to the well pump. I double check, find we aren't pumping water out of the well to the pressure tank, and call Mr. Lovett. He answers himself, asks if we checked the circuit breaker, then suggests I go under the house and tap the pressure tank switch to see if it's stuck. How many "plumbers" or repair men do you know who troubleshoot over the phone for free? Did that, nothing. Call him back, he says he will be here first thing in the morning, 0800, Sunday. He knows we have a handicapped child in the house and need water for bathing and cleaning, let alone ordinary family living. Sure enough, just before 0800 he calls to say he is on the way and just around the corner. He and his son start to work immediately and in about an hour we have a new well pump installed and running water! The site is cleaned up so well you couldn't tell they were here. They even did an "emergency" repair on an outside faucet for free to stop a water hemorrhage that may have burnt out the very old pump prematurely. They gave me instructions on what I needed and how to permanently fix that problem. This is the 2nd time we've used Mr. Lovett over the years and this family is #1 in my book! DO: tell him you have his Angie's list coupon before he writes up the bill; if you have coffee he takes "a little bit of sugar and a little bit of cream". If your well is in a clump of foliage, clear the space before he arrives... we did and it contributed to a speedy job. DON'T: worry about quality of work.

I contacted Lovett's as a result of my reserch here on Angie's List. I was having a problem with diminishing water pressure in my home and I have a well. The two fellows that responded to my call, did so in a prompt manner and diagnosed the problem and had it fixed all within 30 minutes of arrival. My only concern was the $150.00 service fee, which I did notice was charged to others on AL as well. As I have not had many occasions in my life to call a plumber or well/pump person, I am not familiar with hourly labor rates for this type of work. I just felt that this is excessive for a 30 minute visit which involved only pumping some compressed air into my bladder tank. There were no repairs or parts involved. It may be that this may be their minimum charge. I would recommend this company to others with the caveat that the buyer beware if cost is a concern.

I began experiencing a loss of water pressure in the house and then there came a point when there was no water. I went out and pressed the reset button on the pump and waited about an hour. Water began to flow again, but the pressure was still very low. My call to Mr. Lovett was met with a prompt response. They were at my house in less than 2 hours, took care of the problem and were on their way again in about half to 3 quarters of an hour. Mr. Lovett also call the next day to verify that the pressure was still good. My experience with this company was first rate.

Based on the symptoms of the pump, their were several possiblities for the cause, none of which were inexpensive. I did research on the internet and the possiblities Mr. Lovett proposed, based on my phone description of symptoms, were the same as those I read about on the internet. When he came out, however, it was just a matter of the pump leaking air. The entire cost was only $85. I am most impressed because, I was expecting a much costlier repair so he could easily have inflated the price and I would still have been happy. His honesty will make him my first call with any future issues with my well or pump.

No problems at all; even removed tree limbs over the well to enable truck and equipment to get access to well for pipe removal --at no extra cost!

They arrived 2 hours late. We called them when they were almost 45 mins late to see what was going on and that's when we were told they were running late. Once they got there they went right to work. The owner didn't seem to want to honor the Angie's list coupon but he did. I would use them again but I wish the communication would have been better and they would have let us know they were running late, instead of us having to call them.

Called Mr. Lovett on Wednesday and he was willing to schedule a 6:30 appointment for the next day. H was on time, diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and done. He requested that I call him after a few days to let him know how things were going which I did. I would highly recommend Mr. Lovett

Our well pump went out the night before so I picked Thomas Lovett out of the phone book and called him this morning. He said he would be here after noon. I then looked on Angie's List and found he had four reviews, all good, so I figured I had picked a winner. I had picked a winner. He called around noon, said he was on his way, and arrived shortly after. The well was in an awkward position and he had a little trouble getting his truck in a tight place. The age of the system (39 years) caused him some difficulty ( tree limbs in the way, a pipe snapped on him, the pump was hard to pull due to corrosion, etc.) and the temp was over 100 but he took it all in stride and was finished in about two hours. He replaced the pump, pipe, wire, and reset the pressure tank and switch, all with me hovering around asking questions. I didn't ask for an estimate before he started and when he gave me the bill it was a very fair and reasonable price for a normal, no-hassle job, which my job was not normal and full of hassles. I told him the check I wrote him wouldn't be good until I could transfer funds and he had no problem with that either. He did an excellent job at an excellent price in a short and timely manner. He was timely, knowledgeable, and provided reasonable estimates. We have not yet had the work performed. Waiting for warmer weather.

They came out on time and gave me a good estimate. There wasn't anything in particular about them that stood out to me. I was pleased with the estimate.

We contacted Mr. Lovett on Monday regarding a problem with the well at our weekend house - we arranged to meet him on Friday - he arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. After trouble shooting the well he found the problem - he got soaking wet and could have easily said he had done all he could, charged us for what he had done and left. Instead he kept looking and found a worn part which he replaced. He did a complete check and service of the well. His price was very fair. I definitely recommend him and will certainly use him again if needed. Thank you Mr. Lovett.

My well pump started working sporadically several weeks before. I had water, but barely. I called a plumber I have worked with in the past that always did a great job for me, but they sent a guy out to look at it that had to keep calling someone else at another job site, who was more experienced with wells. That really did not give me much confidence in their assessment of my problem, and the estimate they provided. I was extra disappointed since I told them when I called, that my problem was well related, and they sent me someone who didn't seem confident in his ability to trouble shoot the problem on his own. I logged into Angie's List (which I should have done from the beginning) and found Mr. Thomas Lovett. There was one prior review for him that was postive, and said he was an honest man. I decided to give him a call. He listened to my symptoms and gave me a quote over the phone. He cautioned me that it was only a phone quote and the price could still change if he found other problems. He came out as scheduled, but due to bad weather, our first day was rained out It was 40 degrees and raining non stop. He did stay long enough to confirm the problem. This was a Friday. He came back out first thing Saturday morning, and quickly and efficiently replaced the pump and got my water going again. He has truck with a hoist system on it to speed up the process of bringing up and lowering the piping and the pump while keeping everything stable and protected. If you are having well problems, don't waste your time with plumbers who handle well pump problems occasionally. Mr. Lovett's business is well pump repair, and he is very good at it. He is on time, honest, and his final price came in right where he quoted it.

I guess they had realized that they overcharged me for this job so he sent me money back after he had noticed. That was very honest of them. I am going to have to call them real soon to have the rest of the plumbing redone in the house. I do not know what was wrong with this dishwasher. It was just leaking when I turned it on. I am glad they fixed everything. They used some kind of special tool; I don t know what it was. They did very well.
