I added some different things into it as we went along. I can?t say about the price rating because I didn?t go to anybody else and get a price. I actually went by word of mouth because 2 other people in my subdivision had already had one installed through them. Them saying they were happy with the workmanship and dealing with the people and everything. That?s why I went with them, because I didn?t want any confrontations and they were no problem at all. They are very, very busy, but when they do respond, you definitely get a response even though their busy. Based on when they told me they would get it, which was not right away. They did follow through. They were there when they said they would be there, so I would say very punctual. I just was amazed all the way through, the people who dug the hole to the management. Definitely, they are all very good, very nice. I do my own maintenance. They would do maintenance, I think they?d do maintenance, I honestly can?t say. I know that if I had a problem as a new pool owner, they were responsive to that, but I don?t know if they actually offer pool maintenance. Actually, I had an issue with the liner and we never could figure out what it was, so the manufacture just said replace it free. So, they came out and replaced it for free and didn?t charge me for the install. I was kind of in a time restraint or something, and I mean from the time they dug it till they started to put water in it was one week. They hustled, they really were very, very good.

9-18-14 Griffin Pools came to our home and agreed to install a swimming pool. I had researched this business to make sure they were licensed & bonded with no judgments against them. I ask the salesman Rick Potter if background checks were made & he said yes. No one with a conviction would be allowed on our property. We agreed & Griffin started the process. The salesman told me and wrote on our contract to call "Bobby" Caughman (James Robert Caughman) of Lexington SC and he would come out to look at the job to do the finish work. Also another Griffin worker Brian, pool installer supervisor, told me to call "Bobby". After now being endorsed by two Griffin Pool representatives, this led me to believe that "Bobby" was a preferred contractor of Griffin Pools. I called "Bobby" and he came out and gathered the requirements, made recommendations and a high-level cost. Asked again about his relationship with Griffin Pools, he stated that they use him ALL the time to complete their work so that they can focus on installing pools, their main area of expertise. I told him to go ahead and do the work. Bobby requested a $5000 deposit of 13,700 job, which we gave to him. Block arrived at our house a few days later and work started as Griffin dug our pool. When the Griffin portion of the concrete was poured on Tue, Bobby came by and said the rest of the concrete would be poured on that Friday, but.........he needed more money. We gave him another $3775. No concrete came on that Friday, 10-24-14, nor any day after that. The wall wasn't finished. The proper foundation wasn't placed, no drain, wrong type of stone, improper sealant, and stones not overlapped. Four contractors have told us the wall is unsafe, unrepairable and had to be removed. A constructional engineer told us that all of the above and it was devaluing to our home as well. Bobby walked away from this job, no further work and $8775 of our money that we are making monthly payments on. Bobby then sent us an "updated" bogus bill of the $9000 dollars of work that he had done( which was totally made up charges). I have contacted Griffin pools many times and they claim no responsibility. We learned that Bobby has a criminal record and someone that we would have never been allowed on our property. Now Griffin Pool manager Rob Bowers states that they have no affiliation with Bobby Caughman and would not do anything to help us. I have two forms of documentation to prove that Griffin pool asked us to call this man to do the required finish work. One on the estimate of pool installation costs and the other an email from the salesman Rick Potter. I would gladly produce copies of either document. Customers beware! I spent over 35,000.00 dollars with Griffin Pools and now they claim no responsibility. I have a huge mess in my back yard, thousands of dollars to repair it, torn up irrigation system, engineering fees and $8775 our of our pocket.

Overall, I would use Griffin Pools again because of their customer service and knowledge. I would ask more questions during installation though. We purchased a 34and quot; mountain pond pool. The process went very smoothly despite many delays for rain. We are very happy with the pool itself. The staff at Griffin Pools is amazing! They are very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. When pool was installed, it created grading issues in our back yard. This was very unexpected by us, and no one really gave us a heads up that it was going to occur. To level the pool, they had to build up one side of our yard 3 feet and the back by 4 feet. Due to the grading issues, we had to bring in a landscaper to build up a retaining wall and grade the yard out properly. Also, because we were not prepared for this, much of the sand they brought in washed away leaving large gaps under our cement. They were willing to come back and help clean up the run off and back fill under the concrete patio. As for the pool itself, everything works well. They educated us on how to use it very well. There are a few foot prints in the cement bottom of the pool which we seem to notice now that we found them.

We had a liner installed 5 years ago. They left all the debris underneath the liner and there were very, very large indentations left. In one year, the debris started coming through the liner and holes were popping up in the liner. We went down with scuba gear and patched the holes. There was so much debris that the second year we were losing 4-5" of water a day. We finally called Griffin Pools. They never came out to check out the problem and after two years they said they were not responsible. They said we used too many chemicals. Guess what? We don't use chemicals as we have a copper ionization system and no chemicals are used. We even went through the Better Business Bureau, but Griffin Pools did not sign a certain piece of paper and we could not get any action taken. Griffin Pools was very rude and they would not even take the time to check out their work. Heard from other people that they had problems with them too. We would highly suggest that you DO NOT get them to do any work. They don't care once they get their money!!!!!!!!!!

Griffin Pools replaced my pool liner last year and did a good job. I have also bought pool supplies and have had them repair items on my pool on a number of occasions. However, the service department has severely degraded in service recently. I asked them to repair a pool light (which they did 1 year ago) and asked for repairs on the skimmer box. I followed up with them over a period of 30 days on numerous occasions and each time they did not have a clue if anyone had been to my residence or not. Finally they stated that I needed a new skimmer basket. Obviously, no one looked at the skimmer because the basket is fine and that is not the problem. The woman I spoke with said that it would cost thousands and thousands to remove the concrete to replace the skimmer if that is what I wanted.. Then I was told that the light was my problem and I need to call an electrician. Griffin apparently does not care about their service business anymore unless you want to put in a pool or have a liner replaced. If Griffin is outsourcing their repairs to a vendor they need a new one. If these a Griffin employees they need a course in customer service or be fired.
