Express Sunrooms of Charlotte was hired to repair a large (12â X 52â ) 35 year old deck. In addition to the deck repair, they were asked to install a large awning (12â X 24â ) and to replace 3 glass sliding doors and 2 windows. Before the work began, on-line reviews of the work were evaluated which showed a high satisfaction rating. The quote provided by Express Sunrooms was also checked against typical charges and found to be quite fair. Throughout the project and at every stage of the project, the management dealt with us honestly as if we were family. The customer service was top tier. Since no construction project has zero flaws, it is always interesting to see how the contractor responds to them. We found that Express Sunrooms went above and beyond our expectations. We wouldnâ t hesitate to use Express Sunrooms again and highly recommend them.

Got job done quick

There were water leaks repeatedly. They kept coming back to try and seal. It just became a pain to keep returning for leaks. Still have leaks with heavy rain. Not a good experience.

Contracted Express Sunrooms to demolish existing deck and construct a covered, screened-in porch. Received HOA approval on February 28, 2020, but demolition didn't begin until April 28, 2020. A job that was promised to take 3 weeks took more than 8 weeks to complete. During that time, with all the construction debris, our lawn was damaged, and we had to replace with new sod at our expense. We opted to have a brick foundation to match our brick home. On the day the brick work was to begin, the mason told us he couldn't get matching brick. The brick doesn't match our house, and the morter doesn't match. At our insistence, the brick steps were torn down and redone because of horrible construction. The window shown in the CAD drawing given to us that was to match one in the other part of our home, turned out to be less than 1/4 of the size. We should have been told that at the beginning. A clear misrepresentation. Construction was delayed by a week when the hardiplank siding to be installed (light mist to match our house), was delivered in a beige color, and we insisted that it be the right color and not be painted. Lastly, the railing on our steps was unstable because the bricks into which the screws were installed had cracked and were loose, making it unsafe. They did return to repair it, but my husband had to work on it to finally make it right. John Barbour told us at the beginning he was sending his best crew to do our project. I shudder to think what other crews are like. My complaint is that there should have been more oversight by the owner. If we didn't catch potential problems, they would have gone uncorrected. Disappointed. Would not recommend.

John Barbour and his great team at EZ Sunrooms built a new screened in porch for me in March 2020. Extremely pleased with price, quality, professionalism, and dependability. Extra kiddos to Jessie Dawson(carpenter) for his perfectionism. Also thanks to Chris Roach, another fine carpenter. 10 thumbs up! Highly recommend this company!

Sunroom leaked immediately after being installed and John Barbour provided no solution. Warranty paperwork was not provided following room completion, and we are still waiting to receive promised warranty by mail. Was promised a meeting with manufacturer and Express Sunrooms of Columbia to determine cause and solution for leak. Installation was November 2019, still waiting. If we could do it over we would not have hired Express Sunrooms of Columbia.

John and his crew were the ultimate professionals who performed our work in the highest quality manner. There was no rework everything was done right the first time. The pricing was well worth every penny and high quality material. Clean up after the job was immaculate. I don’t believe there is another company who could have offered the friendliness and professionalism. Thanks for a fantastic job. Very highly recommended without question. They were professional and on time. They installed within three days and it looks amazing. I would recommend Express Sunrooms. I am very happy and satsified with my new sunroom.

Express Sunrooms just finished enclosing our covered porch and we couldn't be happier. They helped us obtain the HOA approval by creating a CAD design and submitting everything that was asked for in a timely manner. They even arranged for us to visit a home where they had finished a similar job. Work on our house began a week later and they finished the installation in three days. They showed up on time and were very professional throughout the project. I would recommend them for your Sunroom needs without hesitation.

Project is not yet completed Will need to update when done. So far the quality of work is excellent. The crew has been polite and professional. Materials used appear to be top grade.

They did a great job, and fixed any issues we had.

I signed a contract with them on 4/27/17 and was told they would file the necessary paperwork with the HOA immediately. They did not submit it for at least 25 days at which point I was told by the HOA I should have filed it. It was 5/25/17 by this time. I was told when the windows came in they would install them within 3-4 days. It was over a week. They did the project on 6/9/17. After the room was enclosed every time it rained I had large amounts of water leak in. They came to caulk the seams. It still rained in. After spending $4200 I had to spend another $1800 for a drain system. I do not find fault with the company because of the slope of my yard but their response of " you aren't blaming us are you, we just install windows " was really the final straw. I would not recommend using them.
