EPI Water

An appointment was scheduled for a Saturday afternoon at 3:45pm. At 4:55pm, the doorbell rang. A man was standing at the door expecting to come in. He did not have a badge. He said he was from EPI to show us a demonstration of how to improve our water quality. He called himself "Buzz". He was loud, obnoxious, used foul language and stated that "as long as I can get my foot inside the home" people won't ask him to leave. Buzz turned on our water and didn't shut it off without being prompted to do so. We told him we had guests coming and that we were not prepared for his sort of visit. He stayed 45-minutes, even after we continued to tell him that he had to go. Buzz kept telling us he wasn't going to sell us anything, although he was demonstrating a water purifier. It was an overpriced ($12,000) water softener that we would be able to get a great deal on - $8000. Due to the nature of the visit, Buzz supposedly called his boss for me to speak to. I told his boss that we did not appreciate the misrepresentation of their company in order to gain access to our home and that we would not be purchasing anything from EPI. We have not been contacted again. This was a great invasion of our privacy and a grave misrepresentation.
