great job. explained what they would do and how much. completed the work showed me all the lint they took out cleaned up . First class job.

They did more than what they quoted for the same price. I was pleased with that.

Called to request an estimate and the rep (Ed) returned my call almost immediately. He said he'd have to look under the house as well as inside and possibly the attic to see what was involved in order to give me a price. We decided on a time and he said since I worked, if I would leave the access door under the house open, he could start his inspection (which was the most time consuming) before I arrived and therefore I would miss less time from work. On the appointed day, I arrived about 30 minutes after Ed was to be there. He was coming out from the under the house and after greeting me, said "Your ductwork....." and I thought oh boy here comes some sort of bad/expensive news. "Is perfect" Ed finished. "Somebody knew what they were doing when they installed" it. He gave me an estimate of the age of the unit and ductwork, which was great. The previous owners couldn't tell me the age! We then walked the house where he looked at all the vents and the returns. Told me that the HVAC unit I had was not only sufficient for the size house I had, but could handle another supply vent, so that was great news. You always wonder if you have the right size HVAC for your house. So, we went forward with the estimate and the team came out the next week, arriving not only early but with an extra person. Ed had estimated this job would take a greater portion of the day but with the third guy, it was done in about 4 hours. When they were leaving, one of the guys (Carl) told me he noticed evidence of mice on the unit under the house. Said my ducts were made of ductboard; that mice liked ductboard and if they could get in through chewing, they'd make nests in the ductwork. Told me my ductwork was just fine, no problems, but wanted me to know. So you know my next call was to the exterminator. All in all, a very positive and pleasant experience. The entire DUCTZ team was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I can usually sense when someone is giving me a snowjob and didn't get that impression from any of these representatives. Would recommend and use them again without hesitation.

They guys came promptly and were very friendly, professional, courteous and respectful. All debris was cleaned up and the new vent that was put in the bedroom looks like it has always been there. I would highly recommend this company.

Upon my return from my deployment in mid January 2012, I began a massive home remodeling project which lasted over two months. My contractor recommended DUCTZ of Greater Columbia to have all my duct work cleaned and repaired. Within five minutes of calling Mr Mosley's work number, I had a return call and had an appointment that afternoon for my walk through inspection. When his residential crew member arrived, he realized I was military and immediately ensured I was given a military discount in the estimate. Due to my work schedule, we scheduled the cleaning and repairs of several heavily damaged lines located in my attic for the following week. I was extremely impressed with the crew members who performed the arduous task of cleaning, repairing and installing my new air filtration system in a timely manner. Mind you, I do not believe that the duct lines or air return have been addressed since when my condominium was built in the early 1980's, so I felt embarrassed from not having this looked at when I purchased the condo in 2006. Now I am completely confident that I will breath cleaner air in my home and will have to change my air filter less because of the new system I had added to my unit in the attic .v/r Carla Walker

Ed came out and gave me an estimate a few days after I called the company. He was punctual, very thorough in his inspection and really took into consideration what I wanted to get out of this cleaning. Although the estimate was high at first, Ed adjusted it based on factors in our home, saving us several hundred dollars. He recommended some work that needed to be done to our unit and a specific type of filter for people with allergies (which we needed) that is much more effective than what we currently had . The day of the cleaning, the techs that showed up were polite and friendly and right on time. In addition to the duct cleaning (which took several hours), they patched up holes and leaks in our unit and completely sealed it. Ed himself went and picked up the special filters and gave me the information of the company he got them from so we could purchase more in the future. Prince, who was one of the techs, came and explained all the work prior to them leaving and answered all questions we had. He was courteous and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the job, which I appreciated. Ed called a few days later to see how things were going and to make sure we were happy with the work. I really feel like this was a true custom job. We just wanted our ducts cleaned but the company went above and beyond what was necessary to get our system in good shape. They guarantee all their work and I can't recommend them enough.

They do really good work, are very fair priced and are the kind of people you don’t mind having in your home. Its owner operated, so the guy who owns the company is actually coming out to do your work.

Tim Mozley came to the house, estimated the job, and was very courteous and helpful in answering all my questions. I suffer from sensitivity to small particles in the air so dust and smoke result in a lot of sinus misery. He noted that the proper filter was probably the most important aspect of our system for that and recommended one. As a scientist, I wanted to be able to measure the before and after difference, so we invested in a particle counter from Dylos. Before counts were around 2000-4000, and after a high quality filter was installed, it dropped to 600. The duct cleaning did not improve on that number, so it was not necessary for my problem, but the house had never had it done and it was built in the '70's. Two workers came to the house with a truck which they parked on the lawn next to the unit which sits on the outside of the house. They thoroughly cleaned the unit, then disconnected the main duct and hooked up their equipment,scrubbed the duct interiors (it is a 2100 sq ft house with a FROG) and sucked out the dust. There was a lot of it. We still have the old original hard metal ducts (not the flex type) so that may have made it easier and less likely to accidentally puncture, but it still took all morning and into the afternoon. They worked very hard in very warm conditions. They also made some repairs where there were holes in the ducts that should not have been there. The only problems we noted later were that the grass died where the truck had been, and the main duct connection back to the unit was not done tightly so dirt from the crawlspace floor was getting sucked in. The particle counts actually went up after the cleaning so we knew something was amiss. The connection was made using a length of flex duct to connect the interior ducts to the out side unit, and that duct slipped over the hard duct connections and was then secured with plastic cords. The plastic cords had not been put back tightly. After we tightened that up, the particle counts went back to around 600. All in all, they did a good job and we would us them again.

DUCTZ did mostly good. They were right on time and the owner came out for the estimate and did a good job of explaining what he was going to do. He sent a crew out on a Saturday morning and they came out right on time. He did us a favor by sending them out so fast otherwise it would have taken weeks because they are busy. The job did seem expensive to me. My only problem is that he said that was going to vaccuum as far in as he could and they did not do that.

Tim was right on time, if not a few minutes early, for the estimate and even arranged to get me a really good filter which the crew brought with them. The crew were polite and professional. The work took all day and at one time my back yard looked like a tornado had hit it. But, when they were done there was no evidence that they had been here at all. I am no duct expert, but even I can see that all the ducts look much better and when I have had the heat running I can tell a difference.

I would say that they are a very good company. They showed up on time and were courteous and the price was fair. I spent maybe $100 on that last service.

The crew arrived on time, were very professional, cleaned ducts, replaced plates, also added insulation to the attic ducts. They finished on time, I am very pleased with the job.

My first pleasant surprise was when Tim called the day before the scheduled appointment to confirm the appointment. Tim arrived on time (actually a few minutes early). He first asked for a walk through so he could familiarize himself with the system and ductwork. He started in the attic, then proceeded to clean all the ducts and registers. He even cleaned up (vacuumed) when he was finished.
