Arranged an "emergency visit" for a stopped-up Specal Needs child's toilet, showing up in less than 60 minutes from identifying them on Angie's list. They are "booked solid" for the next two days, but were able to work us in between appointments. Unplugged the the toilet after explaining possibilities ranging from simple auger to removal of whole toilet. Then, checked to be sure toilet was flushing properly. The Plumber even removed his workshoes on the deck before coming into the house.

After Jason determined that the Delta faucet we had was faulty and should have a lifetime guarantee, he called Delta to explain the situation to them. After a good half hour of discussion with their customer service and getting nowhere, he asked to be conected with the supervisor and convinced them that this faucet is indeed faulty and should be replaced at no charge. After we received it he returned and installed it. Jason went way past the "call of duty" that would be expected from a plumber. This man is very good at what he dows and has an excellant work ethic. We couldn't be happier with his service once again!

Excellent! The slow drain (gravity) had stumped us all. We figured the pipe size, et al, and both believed it should drain faster. A lot of water thougth. He came back 2 more time, the last time to install the pump I'd bought, and wouldn't take any money for the return trips. He said he was committed to getting it right, and now it was and called it even! You don't find work men like that much anymore. Of course, he gets all my plumbing work, my family's, my neighbor's and my aquaintances. As he has said: "That's worth a lot more than a couple of dollars."

They were professional, friendly and helpful. They were informative and just a quality company. I got a retired plumber whom I found in one of the local newspapers to come out and he did the work at bargain basement rates.

The kitchen did not have a dishwasher at all. so cottrell and co. came over to see what needed to be done. not quite sure how much it was but it seemed quite reasonable. jason actually came over several times because the dishwaser was delivered with out parts and he went to the store for me to get them. they were always very professional and courteous and i would highly recommend them.

They did a good job. They were very polite, professional, and cleaned up afterwards. I would use them again.

They were fine. They did come back to put a part that we needed. The technician that came was very slow and he was there for a long time. He did a good job though. He was very nice and friendly. He was there on time. I have decided to use another company.

Jason was very responsive from my first call, and gave me a fair and detailed estimate. I compared his prices with 2 other companies from Angies List and he was totally competitive. Jason and his employees were poilite, knowledgeable and friendly. The job was done correctly and professionally, they cleaned up after themselves, and I paid the price he had estimated.

please see above. Working with them is always a wonderful experience. They perform the way you would hope everyone in the service industry would. They are a model company. They make everything simple. Whenever I call, the conversation is always nice. It's like talking to your best friend. The same goes for the service. They show up, are professional and helpful, and even offer guidance to ensure your issue is fully taken care of. They're not pushy nor are they trying to be salesman offering things you don't need. They're knowledgeable and get the job done quickly. In today's world, it's hard to trust almost any company. People are usually lazy, undertrained, unprofessional, and try to steal your money. That's not the case with Cottrell. I trust them 100%.

I have an older home and was doing a kitchen remodel. After installing new cabinets, I contacted the original plumbing contractor to return and install the sink and appliances and make the connections. After not getting a response, I contacted Cottrell because of the good comments about them on Angie's List. Jason came out the next day as promised, told me what he would need to do, and quoted what I felt was a very fair price and explained that things may change depending on what he found under the house; however, the final cost ended up being within several dollars of his quote. He also explained that the original drain line was well above the height required by code and as such wouldn't drain properly. He gave me two options: tear out the new wall and re-route the old cast iron drain line, or install a new drain line and studor vent in the cabinet under the sink. I chose the new drain line option which was cheaper and less complicated, and I haven't had any regrets -- the drains and vent work great. The pipe work that Jason did under my sink was clean and neat, and he made the most of the limited space with a well thought out placement of all of the pipes so that I would have as much storage space as possible. Jason was professional in every respect, and he also seemed to enjoy what he was doing which is very refreshing. I couldn't be happier with the job he did. It was one of the best experiences I've had with any contractor. (PS: My sister had a new water heater installed by Cottrell, and she was also very happy with the quality of their service.)

Jason was incredibly polite, respectful and easy to understand on the phone. He was able to come out the day after I called at 9 AM. He and his employee both introduced themselves and then removed their shoes when the entered the house. He asked me to show him each thing that we were having problems with and then went ahead and made his recommendations. He was very open and honest with me about the choices I had in replacing our disposal and recommended one that was of higher quality and would last much longer. He was very easygoing with my children and pets and I felt completely safe with him in my home. I also felt like he was very knowledgeable in his field and told me he had been doing plumbing for 16 years. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire Jason for any future plumbing needs we'll have.

I had my plumbing inspected by another company, and they'd given me a list of things that needed to be done that seemed excessive. That's when I joined Angie's List and found Cottrell & Co. Jason came out the day after I called, reinspected the plumbing, and gave me a much shorter list of things that needed to be done. One pop-up assembly to be replaced. One of his employees came out the next business day to actually do the work. It took what seemed to be a very short time, but he not only replaced the drain assembly, but cleaned up most of the mess caused by the leak. Cottrell & Co are going to be 'my plumbers' from now on!

Jason was very courteous, professional, and punctual. He found the leaks in the water supply lines and showed them to me so that I would know exactly what was wrong and how he intended to fix the problem. He performed the repairs very quickly without any interruption to our daily routine. Jason was great and I would recommend his services to anyone.

I came to know of Cottrell & Co. Inc. through Angie's List. He was really good. He didn't charge me for what he did. I would definitely hire him again.

I found out that my pipes had some pinhole leaks from the termite inspector several months ago and began getting estimates on having them replaced. For a big and expensive job like this, I wanted the best professional work (and fair price) I could get. I got Cottrell and Company's name from Angie's List and decided that they sounded like a good company. Jason came to my home, saw what needed to be done and took the time to explain the cause of the leaking pipes and what exactly he thought would be the best approach to this large repair job. He even drew me a picture of how the hot water heater works and explained how the repair would be done. We talked about whether the vertical pipes needed to be replaced along with the horizontal pipes. He also gave me the details about the rebuild of the shower valves. After a few minutes of talking with Jason and his patient answering of my questions, I had a really good feeling that this was the company that I would trust with the repair work. His estimate was fair and reasonable. Even though his company's schedule was very tight, he accommodated my need for a small window of time to complete the work. The men came early and were able to complete all the work in one full day. Jason also installed a new shut off valve to my new water heater and changed out some of the pipes adjacent to it. Additionally, he put in 2 new outside faucets which are frost proof - all this at no extra charge. In fact, he charged less than what his original estimate was! Throughout all the work, the men were efficient, professional and courteous. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of plumbing services and I intend to call them whenever I have any other plumbing needs. They did outstanding work.

He was exceptionally good with need about his work. I would definitely call him again. For putting in the faucet, I thought the price was a little high but for the set of valves, it seemed reasonable. I would absolutely use his services again in the future.

They were excellent, they've been out several times. He's very good - he's a master plumber. I like him, I trust him and I think he does a good job. We would recommend him.

They are quite excellent. I liked them a lot. They were very dependable and polite. The owner is a master plumber so he is real good at figuring out what was wrong and fixing it. If it didn't really need fixing he said that too. I will use them again in the future.

I spoke with Jason on Tuesday, May 24th. He told me he would send a plumber out to my house the next day between 10-12. I waited until 3 PM for someone to come and no one showed up and there was no phone call. I initially told him it was a small job that would have led to 4 other jobs, but there was no reason to do the 4 additional jobs if the first was not completed. I would not recommend him to anyone and would in fact talk people out of using them.

Mr. Cottrell answered my initial call promptly and set up an appointment. He showed up right on time, checked out the jobs I wanted him to do, and gave me an estimate. He completed the work promptly and efficiently and charged a reasonable fee. I would gladly call him again for further work.

He actually arrived a few minutes early and went right to work. It took him approximately one hour. He was very professional and courteous and I'm totally satisfied with the work he did.

We called them and scheduled the appointment. Jason Cottrell and his assistant arrived on time, completed the job efficiently, and billed us the agreed upon and original amount discussed. We are extremely pleased with the service and will not hesitate to call them again. They were polite and professional, took off their shoes at the door, were thoroughly competent, and although this might not matter to some, they were kind to our dog. We have had instances where service people came in, did a job, then put a huge sales pitch on us for other services. They did not do that. It was one of the easiest experiences we have ever had when the services of a professional were required. I highly recommend them for providing the best service with the least amount of hassle.

What a pleasure they were to have in the house and the work they do is outstanding! Did what they needed to do, checked everything and were on their way! Kudos to the parents who raised such great guys!! I wished they did roofing and heating and air!
