 + 0 moreI called Cottrell's on Friday at about 1:00pm and they worked me in and were here by 2:30. They crawled under the house and cleared the drain and then cleared the drain in the kitchen. The whole thing only took about an hour. I was very, very pleased with the service. I was particularly pleased that they worked me in and I was not stuck with no water in my kitchen for the weekend. They also looked over my plumbing under the house (which I was worried about but too afraid to crawl under there) and let me know it was in good shape for the age of the house. It wasn't an extended inspection but enough so I know there isn't a serious leak or anything. They also told me to call back if something wasn't right and they would come out again. I would use them again.

 + -1 moreJosh Lovette arrived on time and did a great job of explaining the repair and the materials he would be using. He also let me know of issues that I may need to attend to down the road, although everything at present is working just fine. He was very professional.
Description of Work: They replaced hot water line in the kitchen to the hot water heater and put cut offs under the kitchen sink. Hot water was coming out slow and they determined that corrosion in the galvanized pipe had restricted the flow of water.

 + -1 moreI have had poor experiences with Plumbers in our area. So when I discovered that our hot water heater was leaking I went right to Angies List. Cottrell Plumbing recieved good ratings and that's where I went.They promptly responded and replaced the heater with a new heater of better quality.They also backed up the manufactures quaranty with their owne. Cotterll's serviceman was experienced, pleasant and easy to deal with. The heater was replaced rapidly and neatly. Also the heater was rotated in its original place making it easier to service and drain when needed in the future. I am a very happy customer and highly recommend COTTREL & CO.

Description of Work: Mr. Yonce arrived promptly and listened closely as I described the problems I was having. He went under my house and told me a very easy fix to what I thought would be a major expense. He then fixed my slow drains and replaced a handle on the toilet at no extra charge. I was very happy with his work and the company.

Description of Work: Representative went under the home to check/replace a section of water pipe leading to the back of home faucet. He replaced the faucet on the outside of the back wall. Time on the job about 1 hour. All work was done in a very professional manner. I could not have been more pleased with his work. I can and will highly recommend this company to others at work.

 + -1 moreOur bathtub was filling with water (on its own... and not draining) and the toilets were bubbling/losing water. We couldn't get the water to go down, so we called Jason. It was 9pm on a week day and we expected to just leave a message and hear from him the next day. He answered our message right away (was busy doing another job when we called) and was very polite. He was booked that night but when he found out we were going to have to go stay in a hotel so we could shower the next day, he came right away. He flushed out our pipes and then gave us instructions to speak with the city before proceeding with any further expenses on our end. Once the city had checked everything out and made repairs on their end, Jason came back to do a few minor things. His charges were spot on with his estimate and it was well worth it.
Description of Work: Flushed out the clean out of our sewer pipe.

Description of Work: I contacted the company on a Saturday morning after finding my water heater overflowing in my garage. Jason took my call and offered to come by within the hour. By mid-morning, I had a new water heater installed at a great price! There was no clue that I had had a problem just a couple hours earlier. The work area was clean, the new water heater working beautifully and my Saturday wasn't ruined.

 + -1 moreI was very impressed with the plumber from Cottrell. He didn't waste a minute fixing the leaking water pipe. He was very courteous. He explained what he was going to do, and then did it quickly. When he finished, he took his work boots off to step inside the house so I could write him a check for the work, but when I offered him a chair, he said he couldn't sit down because his pants may have some dirt on them from the work he just did. He gave me a discount that I was promised by Cottrell for finding them on Angie's List and he discounted the work because we had done so much of the digging before he came out. I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least. I'm very happy with the work and the price!
Description of Work: We had a leak in our incoming water line. My husband and I had dug some of the yard up looking for the leak. We got close, but it was too close to the house for use to get to. The gentleman from Cottrell came to the house and finished digging out the area where the leak was and replaced the section of pipe that had the hole.

Description of Work: I was having a problem in my home with the drains slowing down and eventually backing up. I called Cottrells and the lady on the phone made an appointment for me but told me to try calling the city wastewater department because the blockage could be on the city side. It just so happened that the city workers arrived at the same time as Cottrells. Jimmy Yonce from Cottrells and his helper checked things out and located my drain vent which was buried. This involved the helper going under the house for some time investigating. In the meantime the city workers were doing their own investigating out in the street. Jimmy Yonce and I agreed to let the city workers do their thing which might solve my problems. Jimmy and the city workers talked and the city ended uo cleaning out my lines, which is free to me. Jimmy and I also talked about them doing another small repair, but he thought I may not really need it, and I agreed. When I asked what I owed him, he said no charge! The main city worker told me that was very rare and that I was having a lucky day. I will definitely call Cotrells again and will be recommending them to anyone I know who needs a plumber! Thanks Cottrells!

 + -1 moreVery good experience with Cottrell & Co. I called on Tuesday after reading the reviews on Angie's list and set up an appointment for Thursday between 11:00 and 1:00. Josh called at 10:30 to say he was on the way and he arrived a few minutes before 11. I showed him the work, he gave me his price and we agreed for him to begin. In less than an hour he had completed the work and was ready to move to his next job. He left the work areas neat and clean and removed all his trash when he left. One thing I will mention is that they charge a $50 trip charge that isn't mentioned here (that I saw) or when I called. They did waive the fee when I mentioned that I had found them through Angie's List. Overall a very pleasant experience and I will definitely call if I need plumbing services again and I will recommend them to friends and neighbors. Cottrell and Co.'s magnetic business card now has a home on our fridge.
Description of Work: Replaced the flush assembly and water lines for 3 toilets. Repaired a leaking sink that I had given up on.

I authorized the service and he was able to fix the problem in that visit. The logistics were a bit complicated becasue I do not live at the triplex, but they easily navigated calling one person to get in and me for authorization. The billing office was friendly and professional. I will use them again if I need a plumber. They alerted me to work I may need in the future, but did not try to push addiitonal services on me.
Description of Work: I had a tennant whose hot water in the kitchen sink could only be truned off by turning off the water underneath the sink. They diagnosed the problem as worn out washers and fixed it.

 + -1 moreAfter realizing I really needed to join Angie's list to find good people/services, I went with Cottrell's plumbing based on all the reviews. And WOW, just blown away! Jason Cottrell at Cottrell's Plumbing just fixed our immediate leak for FREE and replaced the joint! So I told him I'd recommend him to everyone I know! He was very nice, called and asked if it was ok to come an hour early and he got here within minutes of the call! Very impressed! He had it fixed within 20 minutes and gave me some recommendations too as well as very good information on our plumbing. I'm still going to pay him something though as soon as I can! He didn't even give me an estimate so I'll have to take an educated guess!

 + -1 moreMidway through a faucet change out in the kitchen, I reached a point where ordinary tools would not allow completion. Upon contacting Cottrell & Son, I was greeted in a friendly and helpful manner. Jason Cottrell arrived at my home within a few hours and promptly completed the removal of the old unit. After getting part way through installing the new faucet (a warranty replacement shipped from the manufacturer), Jason discovered the carton was missing parts critical to the installation. Although this was totally outside his control, he apologized for not being able to leave us with a working faucet and declined any payment for his time. Business ethics and honesty like this are not often encountered! Any future plumbing services will most certainly be performed by Cottrell & Son.

 + -1 moreMy experience with started a year ago with Jason Cottrell... he walked me through over the phone how to fix a garbage disposal. He told me he would be happy to come out, but would take 2 minutes over the phone if I wanted to give it a try. He was right! So when my plumbing backed up into my tub and other bathroom when I flushed I called Jason. I called friday afternoon even though he was booked for the day he promised to find a way to get out and help. He was able to make it out around 9 o'clock. He was able to quickly determine what the problem was and how to fix it (Roots had grown into my sewer box preventing things from flowing). He fixed the problem in the dark (and it was cold) in less time then he told me. He provided me with options to keep it from happening. He was friendly and professional. I would use him again!

Jason came out the next day and made the repair for a very reasonable cost. I will definitely call on them again when the need arises (for example, we discussed the possibility that our aging water heater might need to be replaced sometime soon).

 + 0 moreRight after the new year, I learned (after a very large water bill!) that my hot water heater had been pumping hot water out onto my lawn for quite a while. I nearly went into a panic, but then I remembered Cottrell & Co. I called them right away, and a Master Plumber was at my door at the time I was promised. He explained exactly was was wrong, and even gave me the option to spend less - but with a warning that the water heater was nearing the end of it's expected life. He gave me a price for an installed replacement, and had the new, better heater installed and operating very quickly. This is not my first time using Cottrell & Co, and if I ever need plumbing services again?
