The serviceman arrived at the time he was originally scheduled and even called ahead to let us know he was on his way. We have a small sink in our kitchen island that was leaking . We had to stop using the sink because water would flow out from under our cabinet onto the floor. After checking underneath the sink, the repairman knew immediately what caused the problem. He had the proper tools and parts on hand to make the repair. I suspected we had a small leak under our main kitchen sink and asked him to check that. He did and discovered the same problem, though the leak was not as advanced as in the small sink. He replaced the basket strainers in both sinks. He cleaned up after himself and I didn't have to do anything after he left. We were impressed with the promptness, friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism and will definitely use this company again.

The serviceman was prompt, respectful, polite, and an all around good guy. Worked quickly, quietly, and without incident. He even offered to install a toilet flapper I had purchased a few weeks ago, and never gotten around to doing myself. Overall, I was very happy and satisfied.

He solved all my problems! He was timely and worked with the electricians when needed. His changes were inspected and approved.

I discovered a leak at a junction of drainpipe overhead in my garage. Called Cottrell on Wednesday, had Jason scheduled for 2:00 Thursday. Jason called at 1:00 Thursday to ask if it was OK for him to come early. Yes, yes it was. This is my second experience with Cottrell & Co. and I wouldn't think of calling anybody else. Jason showed up as scheduled, was courteous and professional. He explained what he was doing and what he thinks happened to cause the problem. He didn't mind me standing there watching him and gabbing while he worked - or at least if he did, it didn't show. He finished up in about an hour and left me with a treatment I can apply in a couple of days just to make sure everything runs smoothly, though all seems to be alright as it sits right now. He left my garage cleaner than it was when he got here and I am quite happy. If there were any better superlatives to describe the service, I would use them!

They showed up when they said they would, were very kind and courteous, and did an outstanding job. The value for the service was very good as well. Will definitely be using them in the future for any plumbing needs.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I or my family have used Cottrell. As always he is prompt, professional, courteous, utterly trustworthy and more than competent. Price is always more than fair.

They initially started with a plunger, then moved to a professional grade chemical and when neither option worked they moved to a small sewer machine that was able to break through the roots and clear the drain. They recommended that I eventually have the problem area dug up and the pipes and fittings replaced to alleviate the problem. Essentially the roots will grow back within 6-12 months. After talking over what was done with my boyfriend, he stated the price quoted to replace the pipe and fittings was a little less than he'd expected and was a good price.

Fantastic! I called on a Sunday (out of the clear blue). My renters had just told me that a pipe had burst in the backyard. Cottrell was responsive, courteous, professional and completed the job ASAP. Would definitely recommend!!

Josh called promptly to let us know when he'd arrive then he called again when he was on his way. Very professional, uniformed, knowledgeable and over all a pleasant fellow. He explained each issue, repaired the items in a fast, clean manner. he also took the time to explain his work and what he did along with all the associated costs. I needed some advice on other larger issues (sprinklers and water pressure from a well) and while these services are not provided by this company, Josh did provide me with suggestions on how to approach the issues. These guys seem to be honest and that is the key attribute I look for in a vendor. I'd recommend them highly.

Showed up on time, and did exactly as I asked in a very professional and prompt manner.

They went into the garage where there were 2 leaks. One was due to a faulty dryer vent/clog which they couldn't work on and the other was due to the plumbers putty around the drain of our shower drying out and cracking causing the leak. They had plan A,which cost $79.50 and plan B,which was more complicated and more expensive. They tried plan A but they couldn't get in that way so they had to go to plan B. Even so, we know they tried to do it the less expensive way first and trusted them that if it could have been fixed that way they would have. Very nice, patient, professional and explained everything. All our plumbing needs will be done by Cottrell!

In all three occasions, service was provided on time, and to my complete satisfaction. In the first instance, toilet backed up after city work on the sewer line. Jimmy Yonce cleared it quickly using a plumber's snake. In the last instance, a slow-draining bathtub, which had not been serviced in many years, was cleared in a matter of minutes with industrial chemicals. The most impressive, however, was the second service, complete replacement of a 30-year-old toilet that had been broken when my husband fell against it. At the time, my husband was lying nearby in a hospital bed, gravely ill, and I was concerned about disturbing him, though the toilet had to be replaced. Mr. Yonce completed the job in less than an hour, with very little noise, carrying the old toilet out himself, on his shoulder, and carrying the new toilet in. All mess was cleaned up, and the bathroom was left ready for use. Mr. Yonce accidentally broke the flipper off the light switch, and Cottrell sent an electrician the next day to replace the entire light switch, at no charge. The $650 was for this service, and includes the cost of a better model toilet. I would use Cottrell & Co. for all my plumbing needs.

As my luck always runs, on Friday night I discovered I had no hot water. The breaker had been thrown, so I (after talking with friends) turned the breaker back on and prayed for hot water in the morning. Being single parent and not knowing much about these things, I didn't get much sleep worrying about a possible fire or something. Needless to say there was no hot water by dawn. Hating to call on the weekend, knowing there was probably an extra charge for "emergency" service, I call at 8 o'clock on Saturday morning because I simply was afraid to wait any longer. Jason took my call, was very kind and understanding and was at my house by noon after assuring me I was safe. Unfortunately the water heater had seen its last day. He offered me several options and enabled me to make an informed decision. I had to wait until Monday for an install. It was Mother's Day weekend. Jason was kind enough to even offer his home so my boys and I could shower! We declined but he promised to get us on the already full schedule for Monday. As promised, Josh and Justin called ahead, showed up promptly, and went right to work. They were polite, well informed and cleaned everything up when finished. They told me the things to expect, when the water would be hot, and made sure I knew to call if there was a problem. I know now that Cottrell & Co. has 24/7 service so I don't have to have another sleepless night. The price was very fair, they answered all my questions satisfactorily, were very professional, and the service was excellent! I will use them again and recommend them to my friends!

I'm the kind of guy who prefers to do things himself - replace a faucet, leaky pipe, install a new toilet, etc. Pressurized sewer line failure? Time to call in the cavalry. Cottrell & Co. has many glowing reviews on Angie's list, so I gave them a call. I'll spare you all of the messy details, but finding the source of the problem and repairing it was a challenge. They did an excellent job and upgraded weak points in the (poorly done) original installation. They gave me an estimate and held their price although the project became more involved than they anticipated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs expert plumbing help. They aren't cheap, but it costs just a little more to fly first class.

Overall - it went very well. Two men came with the heater - did their job (my husband visited with them briefly)

Very good prompt service. I thought $550 was way to high for service performed, which took about 2 hours of labor.

Last night my hot water faucet in the kitchen stopped working. I called at 8:00 am this morning and they were here by 10:30 am. Jimmy was extremely professional and pleasant - he explained and showed me what the problem was with my faucet and fixed it immediately. I have used many different plumbing companies in the past 10 years, but now I have found the plumbers I will call every time.

The man from Cottrell came and we did a test opening the faucets and closing and he did hear that hammer sound. He suggested that the pipe is moving against the wall when water is getting shut off. He suggested that the wall needed to be opened to tighten the pipes but this issue itself is nothing serious as far as pipe bursting(the only issue is going to be the sound but it doesnt bother me that much). He even checked the overall water supply to see if we can temporarily eliminate the hammer sound. I liked his honest and fair evaluation of the issue and prompt service! He gave me his card if I ever needed any other plumbing services. I highly recommend Cottrell!

Easter morning turned into a disaster when our drain pipes backed up. We had water backing up into sinks and tubs and the shower on the bottom floor of my house. I went under the house to try and snake the pipes, but nothing worked and the pipes were still clogged after a few hours of work. In desperation, I logged onto Angie's List and found Cottrell & Co.. I chose them because of their outstanding rating and the fact that they were close to my house. My call was answered immediately and I was soon speaking directly to Jason. Jason felt that my back-flow valve was clogged or not working and he even tried to help me locate the valve, so I could fix the problem by myself. When I couldn't locate the valve he described, he offered to come over and fix the problem. Within ten-minutes, Jason arrived and we located the back-flow valve. Sure enough, my valve was clogged, just as he predicted. He cleared the valve and told me that the old valve would eventually need to be replaced, because the rubber flapper was hardened and that was part of the problem with the clogging. When all was said and done, all that Jason charged me for an emergency visit on Easter morning, was $100. I was absolutely thrilled with the professionalism and the responsiveness of Cottrell & Co and I am so thrilled with their service that I will use them in the future for any plumbing needs. I also highly recommend them!!

Went very well. They showed up early with two guys. Listened to me as I explained my problems. After they got into the kitchen sink, they ran into some issues where they needed to do a little more than originally estimated and came back to me with an additional cost estimate for my approval. I think it took them a little more time and effort than planned on the bathrooms but when they needed some additional parts, they did it at their cost without adding to my estimate. In addition to the jobs I asked them to perform, they checked out some small leaks under my house. They said they could fix them but I really needed to consider a complete refit of horizontal water supply or I would just have to keep calling them every couple of months. He quoted me a couple different ways. I didn't feel pressured at all. Overall, good experience from entry to clean-up to billing. I think they are reasonably priced and I ended spending less than I had planned on.

They did a good job. The man we that worked with was pleasant to deal with, and professional. He was able to fix things properly.
