They were very prompt and the entire process, from retrieving the heater to installation, was only a few hours. We would definitely use them again for any plumbing problems.

I called Cottrell, from Angie's list, along with 2 others. Cottrell's was the friendliest and most affordable with my Groupon. Justin came to my home the next day. Very professional. I'm a single woman and am capable of making decisions. Justin was very respectful of this. He gave me 2 options without swaying me either way. I picked the less expensive, with no pressure from him. It was the right choice. He showed me the defective part. Great experience!!!

Dealt with Jenny by phone and Mike on site. Both were polite, clear, efficient and kind. Appointments were made at our earliest convenience, and were kept. Estimate was fair, and work was competed on schedule and within that amount. I couldn't have asked for more. So glad I renewed my account with Angie's List and picked the best.

.Josh arrived on schedule and got to work. Very professional and made a few very good suggestions for the installation. Work was completed within 4-4:30 hours and area cleaned. No issues!

We called several places and because it was so cold, many places including Cottrell were behind on several calls due to all of the frozen pipes. They assured me that they would be able to make it out that day with no problem. Justin Hanvey did a great job, was clean, neat and professional. I would recommend Cottrell and Co. to anyone.

I ordered a new range and found it would be delivered before I expected it to be, so I turned to Angie's list to find someone quickly. I chose Cottrell for their high marks, and am fully pleased with the results. They had a man out to estimate the job the next morning (Friday). He was on time and on task immediately. I accepted the estimate and he coordinated with the office to have someone at my house Monday morning to do the work. That man showed up on time and went directly to work. Their work is definitely A+.

We needed to have access to plumbing and they were accommodating to that. They were on time and prompt for the appointment. The work took a couple hours to complete and there was a one technician. He was very clean and efficient and did what he said he was going to do. The results are great and I am satisfied with the work.

They did a great job in replacing all of the turn-off valves in our condo. Some were hard to turn and all were potential leak problems so we decided to replace them all. Cottrell were punctual, polite and efficient and did this all at a reasonable price. I will use them again when we have a plumbing problem.

He quickly got to work to investigate the problem that I was having. He exhibited extensive knowledge of his vocation.

It was a well scheduled visit they were the only people that wanted the job . I had used them in the past when I had a plumbing problem that 6 other companies could not fix . They were responsive, on time, professional, and did a fine job. I will admit that I did not ask for an estimate before they arrived, but was expecting to pay around $100 for the routine installation, which took about 35-40 minutes. I was presented a bill for $275 minus a $50 discount for being an Angies list customer. When I mildly protested what I thought was an outrageous charge, I was reminded that I did get a discount and that I was paying for the satisfaction of knowing the job was done right because it was done by Cottrell. I have since then had another of your highly rated plumbers do work on an unrelated problem. Without giving him any details, I took him into the kitchen and asked how much he would have charged to install the same faucet. He quoted a price of $100-110.

Our pipe burst during the January 2014 deep freeze and this company was so responsive. The woman who took my call at their office was very nice and sympathetic to our plight. They had a lot of customers in the same situation and were making a great effort to get to everyone. The plumbers showed up the same day I called, explained what they would do, and worked quickly and efficiently to resolve our problem. They were very nice and professional - and even insisted on cleaning up their shoe prints from my kitchen floor. The bill was a lot less than I was expecting, and I saved the service call fee by being an Angie's List customer. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them.

I will update this review when I turn on my stove. still awaiting the meter install and the building inspector.

Excellent service was performed as described in the job detail section. The technician also provided detailed answers to other plumbing related questions within my house. I will be using this company for my plumbing needs in the future.

Replaced water heater with tankless.

I called to get estimates to repair pvc pipe that leads into the wall to the shut-off valve to the toilet. I tried replacing a leaking valve and the brittle pvc in the wall quickly snapped off. After crawling under the house to remove the other end of the pipe, I found that the builder had drilled a hole through the floor joyce for that pipe. I realized to make a connection to the new pvc pipe extension I had on the new valve was going to be a problem. Although I called at 1:30am Monday and hung up the phone because it was so early. I received an immediate call back from Jason. I can't say enough nice and great things about the service, professionalism and nice character of Jason and his team. The initial repair would have only been $250.00, although other plumbing company estimates were $400.00 to $450.00 for the same job. All the PVC pipes to my home are old and brittle. Once the water was turned back on, another leak developed in the same bathroom but with the sinks pipes. Although it took longer than estimated to complete both jobs, Jason assured us he would stick with his original estimate. Great people. Great work.

This visit was extremely quick and efficient even though it was for an estimate / troubleshoot. No charge for advice but I can guarantee future business for Cottrell. They have an extremely high rating and after their visit I can see why. They are anxious to please - honest in their appraisal of the situation and pricing is great. You won't go wrong by trusting these people. Believe me I've been through the gambit of trying to find reliable people and I don't write these words easily.

I called Cottrell Plumbing and set up (I believe these are the dates) 11/30 for the tech to offer an estimate for repair. When he arrived, very polite and professional in a well marked work truck, he estimated the cost to replace the parts and repair the issue to be $285. Fair, I thought and agreed for him to start. After survey of the situation he decided since it was Friday evening and might not be able to obtain parts, it would be best to return Monday and we agreed at an approximate time. The same tech wasn't able to return Monday but a similarly professional tech replaced him. The work was done, with me watching and inquiring as he progressed, to my satisfaction. We discussed water shut off for the house and he added a shut off tool for $15, since I didn't have such, making my total $300. A few days later I noticed the drip again, slighter than originally, but there again. The next Monday when I got home from work, I called them and got the same tech. I explained the issue and fortunately he was finishing up lunch and headed my way immediately. When he arrived and examined the leak, he said the problem appeared to be substandard washers included in the kit supplied by the manufacturer. He showed me the difference and replaced them saying he planned on automatically replacing them on future jobs. He said for me to call if I had any further problems and he would handle it. Two weeks later it is still in pristine condition with no drip as I'm sure will continue. The little "blip" was just that, something that can happen occasionally. I feel Cottrell is the company to use and their concern and responsiveness is key to my decision. I have them listed as the plumbers I will use in the future.

They arrived when they should have, got right to work. They tried to use a camera, but they could not see enough. That meant they needed to physically see the pipe. The root was under the slab where they dug, and they could see where the pvc pipe was broken by the root. They also discovered a complete blockage of a ball of roots in the main line running to the sewer. They removed that blockage, and treated the ground around the pipe to deter the roots in the future. They said that if we have problems with that portion of the pipe again it is covered under a lifetime warranty! They had to remove my water heater to get through the slab, and they put it back when they were done. They offered to replace my water heater at the same time, but I declined that, and they didn't have a problem with my decision. I would use them again for any plumbing issues! I noticed that one side of my sink would not produce water just before going out of town. I called Cottrell & Co and they were able to come by the house that afternoon. Justin was very professional, punctual and knowledgeable. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem. He only charged me for a service call and was very clean and courteous.

They were very professional, on time, and used quality parts.

On October 30, Roto Rooter came out and unclogged a drain. I was told that all the water lines were leaking and replacements casts would be 2960.00. I was also told that I need anther repair done for 470. (stack drain). I feel like this was exorbitant. I went to Lowes and talked to the plumbing department and was told to go on Angies List. Which I did. After reading all the reviews for Cottrell. I gave them a call--very satisfied. A lot cheaper than Roto Rooter.

Both gentlemen who did estimate and the one who did the job were pleasant and professional. Work was done well and clean up was good. Plan to use them again for other jobs after the first of the year.
