First of all, they have great reviews and I thought the people are pretty accurate. They kind of went out of their way. They are really friendly. They were professional. They explained everything and I thought their price was fair. I was pleased. Their name is on the side of my refrigerator. If I ever have a problem, I will be calling them again. The work they did was good.

Justin arrived on time. Took a quick look at the clogged kitchen drain, poured some acid rocks in there and then went under the house. He inspected the entire drain system and gave me an assessment of everything under there. After he went under the house he came back up and put some more acid rock stuff into the sink with some hot water. After a few minutes I heard a satisfying "woosh" and from that point on the drain was moving better than ever. So relieved to have this taken care of. Justin was very knowledgeable and gave me a great description of the problem and some great tips for the future. I had a feeling I was calling the best and I was correct in that assumption.

They were good. The entire job was good. They came and they were on time and they did a good job.

I had 12 guests coming to my home to stay over night for a celebration. We had to leave the house in 2 hours and would not be back until later in the day....with all of the guests coming back to the house with us. I explained to Dana that we had only one downstairs toilet not working but did not know if it was related to a bigger problem. Dana was genuinely concerned for us and very understanding of our precarious situation. She said they had calls all day back to back but she would check and see if they could possibly help us out. Jason and Mike came right to our house within 30 minutes! They are so polite, patient and kind...not to mention "Superheros" that day!!! I have used their company 2 times before and actually ask people if they need a good plumbing service to put on their Service's Call List. I highly recommend them.

As smoothly as can be expected. Arrived slightly earlier than scheduled, let us know they were here, who would be doing what and ask if it was alright to turn the water off then. They finished the job a little sooner than they thought and kept us informed when they were having to change the original plan. The job was completed, the area cleaned up and everything explained by the time they had planned to finish.

Service was by far the best service that we have had in such a while. We were very taken a back with the integrity of the owner and how concerned and genuine he was with our problem. We knew that this was probably a routine event for him, but he treated us as if it was of highest priority. From the initial contact, the owner, Jason was on point with a whole lot more than what we could have ever expected. He wasted no time in advising us with what he thought the problem could be, but advised us to get in contact with the city first, just in case the problem was on their side...which would have cost us zero dollars, had it been. Who does this? It seems as if everyone nowadays is just out for money, but Jason's honesty was too transparent to think otherwise. Jason was on point again with advising of the response from Lexington County. Our water department were not just more than punctual and quick in responding but had equipment on the way to help clear the problem just in case it was on their side. Even after finding out that it was on our side, the city was more than helpful in explaining systems and just plain old shooting the breeze to make us feel a little more comfortable during this very stressful experience. (Kudos and way to go Joint Municipal!!) Jason Cottrell knew exactly what he was talking about and knew the process. He also knew the superb service that we would receive from our water department. When it came down to it, Cottrell and Co was desperately needed and Jason took no time in scheduling to come out early the next morning. He was sincere in his apology for us having to wait overnight for services and we couldn't do anything but make it through the night because of his concern. He was very genuine. Cottrell and Co. arrived early the next morning, as promised. researched and found the problem, corrected the problem and was way more fair in pricing as we could have ever prayed for. Mr. Cottrell was polite, professional, of high integrity, very pleasant and comfortable to talk to and just plain old made us a customer for life. We pray the highest blessings of God's arms wrapped around his business for generations to come. Thank you again, Cottrell and Sons for reinforcing our belief in the goodness of man and our brothers!!

They were GREAT! I called at 4:00 on Friday afternoon and they were at my house before 5:00! They were very professional. They returned Saturday morning and replaced our broken water heater. They removed the old water heater from the attic (not an easy task) without any fuss. They then installed the new one very efficiently. The price was not cheap, but would have been MUCH more expensive some place else. They were very thoughtful, remembering to remove their shoes before entering the house. They even vacuumed up the insulation that fell down from the hide away stairs to the attic!! What more could you ask for?

They're very good. They were very courteous, did it for a very good price and very personal. They sent a thank you card. They were particularly nice. I will use them again that's why I kept their card.

Arrived at the house and asked what was going on. Explained as best I could what I had seen under the house and he asked a couple if questions. Went under the house, it was already dark and soaking wet, determined what had to be done and set about his job., he itemized what our options were, answered questions we had to help us make a decision and possible ramifications.,he spent about two hours with us altogether. The best plumbing service we have ever used anywhere. He satisfied the 3 P's every contractor should strive for: Price, Punctual and Professional.

Justin and his helper did a great job. Cleaned up before they left. Had a little trouble with the remote for the gas logs but justin came back the next day and made sure everything was working properly.

There is a coupon on Angie's List for waiving the service call fee of $49.50, and I contacted them through the site and over the phone. Our water had to be cut off after a burst pipe on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, and even though I told them we had no water, the earliest appointment we could get was the following Wednesday. The plumber came on time, but I was charged the $49.50. When I noticed that and asked for it to be waived, the plumber said "Oh, is that still on Angie's List?" I was told they would take that off the return charge to put the toilet back on. I offered to write another check to take care of it right then, and I should have insisted on this. While the company came highly recommended and we were pleased to have our water back on, thinking back over it I am NOT happy with the lack of quick responsiveness and charging the fee that was supposed to be waived to Angie's List members.

I love them! I have been so totally satisfied with them! I have even told my neighbors about them.

Johnny Lucas could not have been nicer or more professional. He was meticulous in moving items and replacing them. He purchased us a faucet...at no extra cost, installed it, replaced the lines going into our hot water heater, and unstopped our kitchen sink. I cannot say enough about this company. They didn't try to sell me a lot of extras. I would use this company and recommend it to everyone. We felt the price was very fair.

Justin came out to find out the cause of a slow draining bathtub and kitchen sink. After doing an inspection, Justin gave me some options of what the problem(s) might be and what the solutions to those problems would likely be. He said depending on what the problem turned out to be, it might take more than one visit to fix. He recommended starting out with the most common (and cheapest) solution and if that didn't work, he'd figure the next course of action. He chemically treated both drains and they both worked great after that. Dana worked with me to find a time that was convenient for me and Justin showed up at the appointed time. He was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I will gladly use Cottrell Plumbing in the future.

Great service! Our sink was leaking and they were able to get someone out the same afternoon I called. The vales were replaced quickly and at a very fair price (compared to some other quotes). The plumber did a full education on what he was doing, the pro's / con's as well as how the work / items were warrantied. After completion of the paid work, he pointed out a few other things that had been done not up to code and walked me through the appropriate fix (if I wanted to do the work). Will definitely call them first for all of my plumbing needs.

I found them on Angie's List. They didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need. Recently when my neighbor had a problem, I recommended them and they came out that day. They are good people and I thought that the price was pretty reasonable.

The plumber arrived on time. Did a professional job, explained his procedure, and completed the job quickly. He and the office staff were very polite and friendly. We were happy with the service and will call Cottrell the next time we have a problem and will certainly recommend them to others.

He unstopped it from inside the house. But they didn’t want to do it underneath the house that’s why I need to get someone else.

When we spotted wet areas under our kitchen sink, we searched Angie's List for a reputable plumber. Called Cottrell and they dispatched a plumber the same afternoon. He found a cracked casing on our old garbage disposal -- the leak's cause. He gave us two options for replacement -- a standard model and a quieter model with more power and features. The price difference was about $100. We opted for the quieter, more powerful model and an appointment was made for its installation a day and a half later. The new disposal works like a charm and our installer (plumber) was thorough and professional in his work, explaining what he did and checking to make sure we were happy with the result. Would definitely use this service provider again.
