CARPET ONE

If you need quality carpet installation, stay away from Carpet One in Lexington. They came into our home to install carpet in two bedrooms after painters had just been there the days before renovating the rooms and the stairs. They installed the wrong carpet in each room and had to start over to correct their mistake. They also damaged the newly painted walls when they moved a King mattress downstairs after having been told specifically not to move it downstairs on multiple occasions, including when the installers arrived. Two weeks later, ignored emails and phone calls, there was no resolution. After I called several more times, I was told the contract we signed says they cannot be held liable for damage their installers do to your home, they will not pay us a dime for the $140 in damages or for the damaged mattress. Very unprofessional and will never use them again.

They responded well initially. They installed the laminate flooring with the assurance that it could be changed out "for any reason"if we didn't like it within the first 120 days. The floor is uneven, with hollow spaces underneath where nothing was done to level the floor out prior to installation. We opted to remove it and upgrade to tile flooring instead. Carpet One, however,now states you can only trade out for another color of the same product! This is contrary to their verbal assurances. They will not honor what they said to me to entice me to buy the product. I have called and asked to speak with the manager multiple times. The manager has still never returned my calls.

First, the salesman worked with us on price and negotiated a discount with the manufacturer due to the size of the project. He saved us approximately $1,000. While we were in the store, a couple was there who had had previous work done and they were back to place another order. They spoke highly of the installers who had done their previous work, and we requested those installers (Brad and Daniel). The installers were super professional, prompt and diligent. Brad has worked with Carpet One for 20 years, which says a lot about how the company treats its contractors. The installation work is perfect.

(continued) Two months later, when I called to ask about a little surface residue in one area, and how to take it up, Norm Brownyard personally came over a couple of days later and removed it. From the first phone call to this store to the last, this company was way over-the-top incredible:) We couldn't be happier with our choices of luxury vinyl that looks like tile in our basement and that looks like real hardwood on the main floor. My husband and I highly recommend them!

It went really well. The workers were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. They did have to delay their arrival a couple of hours as the previous job took longer than anticipated, which is understandable, but they did inform me of that. They worked quickly and got he job done. They put all the furniture back where it needed to be. The only thing I didn't like was having to pay for the service before it was performed. The lady from the store came out initially to look at what needed to be done and to measure. If we had been ordering some special carpet or something I would understand but we didn't. I told her at the time that it was paying for a meal at a restaurant before it was served. She apologized and said it was company policy.

Both men arrived on time. They both were very professional & efficient. They immediately went to work after moving furniture to clear the space. Very passionate about their work and keeping me abreast with what they were doing at each phase of their work. Would I rehire them? Absolutely!

Needed mid-grade carpet for a rental. Sales people were very helpful.

They were good. They were real friendly. The service was excellent. They were in and out and took all the used carpet away in a timely manner. They were real professional and easy to work with. The price wasn’t better than anybody else but it was fair. I would definitely use them again.
