I have had windshields replaced over the years, prior to 2002, but more than once been serviced by unprofessional folks using improper handling techniques, messy caulking/seal on the edges leaving residue inside vehicle, broken glass in heat vents, etc. I know what to look for and what a good job is or is not. Anyway, my first experience with Absolute Glass was about 2002. I have had at least 8 windshields replaced (significant highway miles) due to rocks from other vehicles by them since. Ray (owner) was my installer for each and every one of these installs. He is a perfectionist. He treats each car as if it is his own. Have never had a poor experience. At any rate, Absolute Glass is "all business". Friendly, but not overly talkative. They don't "mess around" and waste time. They are meticulous about taking off the existing trim carefully. They removed my old windshields carefully and cleanly without scratching the painted surfaces around the glass. Another service (NOT Absolute) once scratched my paint with their sharp knife and simply put extra caulk over the scratch in order to cover it up. Carelessness followed by improper repair (should have put some primer paint on the scratch prior to resealing new glass. Another company once broke a window clip and tried to glue down the trim using extra caulk. Geez. If there is any gripe with Absolute, it is their OVER efficiency. All business. No time for chit chat. But that is a small price to pay when all that chit chat is doing is getting in the way of a focused effort to fix it right and get on with the next job. Absolute stays busy because they are good. They arrive on time. No excuses. I didn't even have to call my insurance company. I called Absolute, they called the insurance company and arranged it all.
Description of Work: Replaced auto front windshield. Cost was covered by insurance.

I called several glass vendors and Absolute was the most responsive, and the folks who called me back, answered my questions, and gave me options. We had removed the old shower door and wanted to update, but were unable to put a new one in. I was going to go with a framed door but he priced the semi frameless for me and the cost was not significantly different. The door looks beautiful. The only thing they did not do that was disappointing was they left the old door in the garage, so I now have to pay someone to haul it away. It seems they would take away the old door when they install a new one. Especially since we had done the work of removing it. But other than that the job was beautiful, and since I wasn't there when it was installed they may have not known to haul it away. They also replaced a vent window that had a broken seal, and it is a perfect match to the others. Excellent job.
Description of Work: Installed a new semi framed shower door and replaced a small vent window in sunroom.
