After receiving quotes from 3 different companies, the decision came down to who had the best financing package for an entire new unit, and the rating from consumer reports on the unit we would buy. Standard Mechanical had a good price for the entire unit package and a good financing package, but consumer reports had terrible ratings on the RUUD or Rheem units we were looking at installing. The owner got us a price on a Trane unit, but even with the financing package, the Trane unit was out of our price range.

They provided very professional service on short notice

It took them about eight visits before the figured out that there was a wire delivering inconsistent performance. The majority of their visits were warranty visits where they didn?t charge anything. Before he figured out which wires were bad I was ready to rip the thing out and throw it away. Now it works the way it should have from day one.

We were having trouble keeping the pilot light lit on our gas fireplace. I searched Angie's List and found Standard Mechanical, a firm we have had previous success with servicing our heating and air conditioning system. The technician, Wally, came the same day we called and diagnosed the problem as a dirty pilot assembly. He cleaned the assembly and remained here until he was certain the problem was fixed.

I called about a ductwork issue, but also had an electrical wiring issue (a few lights and outlets were not working). I called and left a message around 1pm and had a call back with in an hour and Robert came to fix my electrical problem within 30 minutes of calling me. Someone is coming to take a look and give an estimate for our ductwork issues. Pleased so far with the service provided.

Called the company at 8:00 AM and left message. Received a call back from Laura at 9:00 informing me that James was on a call and could be out by 11:00. James was prompt, quickly looked at very obvious types of issues to assure easy fix first. He then went out to the unit and was able to diagnose the problem and offer solutions. He replaced a bad capacitor and contactor. He was done by 12:00 and we now have A/C running. They also honored the Angie's List coupon for $50.00. I've used this company before. They are wonderful!

The company did not include the thermostat when they installed the gas pack. In order to get the rebate, the company has to install a new thermostat. I was told by the company that they would come back out to install a thermostat. It took them quite a while to come out and do this. When they finally came out with the thermostat, I informed the gentleman that I wanted to take a look at it. I had been investigating the thermostats online. In order to get the rebate, there are only 7 different thermostats you can use. The thermostat turned out to not be one of the ones on the list in which I could receive the rebate from. In the initial proposal, it was stated I would receive a $400.00 rebate and this has yet to happen, since I cannot apply for the rebate until one of the correct thermostats is installed.

Really well. The cost of the agreement with my previous contractor was going up, and I wanted alternatives. Standard Mechanical is in my area and has great ratings. Laura was easy to communicate with by phone and email. The scheduled visit occured as scheduled, all the usual issues were addressed. No upselling occurred. Very pleasant and professional . Price is very reasonable.

I have had about 4-5 different contractors try to fix this 2 year old unit. Unfortunately the labour warranty ended when the original installer went out of business. The unit was poorly installed and each contractor has fixed some aspect of the original install. Standard Mechanical has been the most thorough and professional contractor to work on the system to date and I will happily call them back if this intermittent problem resurfaces.

They were patient with all my questions; I called about 2 times after receiving the estimate with additional questions. I was nervous before the installation began with getting a burner removed from my attic. However the workers were extremely professional, and very neat while at my home; they cover my floors with tarps so there was no possible way to damage my floors. When they left my home no one would have never know that I had a burner replaced. I am very pleased with the work they performed.

David Nixon, owner of Standard Mechanical installed our furnace and air conditioning units when we built our new home in 2001. He has been a pleasure to work with. It turned out great. I thought their price was very reasonable. I would recommend them and I plan to use them again.

They did a good job. The guy did a thorough check of the entire heating and air conditioning system. He found a few things he wanted to check again, and there was a repair he suggested making in the spring. I felt really good about the inspection he performed, and they did just what the Angie?s List reports said they would do.

They do a good job. Dave is just really professional and helpful, and it is really nice that they tend to send the same technician each time. We plan to renew our contract with them.

The thermostat went about 10 pm but I waited until morning to call. They took a message and returned my call and came within a reasonable time period. The wires connecting the thermostat had been switched. The serviceman had to crawl under the house to make repairs. He checked to make sure everything was running as it should. He was very professional and courteous.

Earlier, I had another service company come out for the job and they lied to me. So, I used Standard Mechanical Heating and Cooling for the job. The salespersons that came out weren?t pushy. They were knowledgeable about the products. Their service department was even better. They came back when I had a problem with it. They came immediately; they came twice to fix the problems. They fixed everything. I was very impressed with the way they handled everything. They are one great company to work with.

Went well. Standard came the same day I called and explained the problem, gave an estimate and completed the work. Wally was very professional and did an outstanding job.

They were prompt and efficient. They explained everything to us. This is the second time I m using them and I m very pleased with them.

They were really good when they came. Afterward, the man called me back to make sure the units were cooling properly. They weren't cooling well that day, and he came back the next day to fix them by switching the coolant. After that, they worked fine. He was very personable and really good at communication. I found it odd that when another man came to clean the filters, his hand was injured. He could only use his one hand. I wasn't as impressed with him as with the man who fixed the air conditioner units.

My system stopped cooling again this summer and the company I used to use could not come out right away so I called Standard Mechanical and they came out that day! They found my system was low on freon, this was the same problem I have had every year since I've been in my home 9 years. They added freon and got my system cooling right away and they did a leak search and found my evaporator coil needed to be replaced. They gave me a price quote much cheaper than previous quotes I had gotten from other companies. They also showed me how much money I could save with a higher efficiency system. A few days later they installed my new system and credited back my money from the original service call towards my new system at exactly the price we agreed on. I was very pleased with the whole experience from the first service technician that showed up at my house to the install crew and the office staff. They were very friendly and sincere, the work was very professional and neat. I am very happy with my new system, they even gave me a complimentary one year maintenance contract on my entire system including the furnace.

They weer prompt and did more work then they said they would do, and were very courteous. They showed up on time and very professional and even cleaned up their mess afterwords. They put a one year contract on the heating and air system.
