PALMER'S REFINISHING

They were very helpful, they even video taped for me a before and after picture. They knew a lot about the wood grain, they made good suggestions. They were very knowledgeable about antiques. I can't say enough good things about them and I have referred other people to them.

I called Palmers on a weekend and when Monday morning came, they returned the call and were at the home on Tuesday. They brought it back a week later, exactly as the expectations were given at the time of pick up. They did excellent, excellent work. It was an emotional time because we didn't know where to look to find someone who could do the work after asking around for months and getting no leads. The Palmers are beyond wonderful in their work, customer service, and expertise. We are giving their brochures to everyone we know. I cannot recommend them highly enough. It's definitely not a one time experience. We find ourselves looking for something we can give the Palmers to make better. EXCELLENT, SUPERB, AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!

When I talked with Nathan about the look we were after, he knew what was needed. Set-up a meeting after the estimate and discussed color and finish desire; took doors to create samples and returned. We agreed on a color and he came back the following Monday and was finished that Friday. Kitchen was off limits for 5 days, but the results were great.

He was very punctual and polite and his fees were reasonable. He did spend a few hours working, so I thought it was worth it.

Scott Palmer does their door refinishing. He did a great job. He very carefully sanded the door (he used drop clothes and dust barriers) and then re-stained it using a faux-styled finish (that is, several tones of stain were used). It really turned out nice. We also had some mahogany window grids for the glass part of the door that did not arrive in time for the day he was scheduled to do the door. Scott still came back to our house and stained the grids on a very cold morning; he set up space heaters in our garage and did not charge any additional amount for this extra service. Scott also gave us detailed advice on how to maintain the finish on the door and gave us some supplies to do this. He also gave us advice on how to do some wood repairs to some other things in our house. We could not be more pleased with the service we received.

They came out and picked the table up. They promised a date that it would be completed, and it was. They also dropped off the table and leaves. They did a beautiful job, it looks like new.

The Palmer's are a joy to work with! From start to finish they are so polite, timely and professional. They do quality work, at what I consider to be reasonable prices. They even pick up and deliver the furniture.

THEY TRULY ARE CUSTOMER ORIENTED. THEY DID MULIPLE SAMPLES FOR ME UNTIL I FOUND THE COLOR I WANTED. THE HOUSE WAS KEPT EXTREMELY CLEAN WHILE THEY WORKED. GLAD WE LOOKED HERE AT ANGIE'S LIST.

My foster dog chewed the legs of my dining room chairs so badly that I thought they were non-repairable. There were large chunks of wood missing! I found Palmer's on Angie's List and called them. They said they could fix the chairs without evening seeing them and they came the same day I called to pick up the chairs. This was truly amazing because they drove an extra 20 miles out of their way to do this. When the owner arrived he said he had seen worse damage from dogs and that he could have my chairs back within a week. I was thrilled. A few days later I received a call that they worked all weekend and my chairs were done and they would deliver them the next day. I truly was AMAZED by their customer service as well as their fantastic work. You absolutely cannot tell they had ever been damaged. Unfortunately, my foster dog chewed two more chair legs so I'll be calling Palmer's again for repair, once the dog has found a new home!

I spoke with both the senior and the junior Mr Palmer. The senior Mr Palmer came to Charlotte and picked up a dining room table chair with two legs broken off, an old Windsor chair with detached legs, five dining room chairs which needed to be re-secured and a dining room sideboard with a broken shelf. He quoted the work, returned the furniture to me when promised, and charged me exactly what he had quoted. I believe the work on the one dining room chair and the sideboard was fairly involved. Both Palmers were delightful to deal with, cheerful, professional, proud and rightly so, of their work. I will definitely use them again and recommend them.

I bought an old walnut table from Metrolina. It needed some repair work, and I wanted a better finish. Mr. Palmer and his son came to my home. I pointed out the work I wanted done. They took the table with them and brought it back a week later. It looks wonderful! They did an outstanding job with all of the repairs, and the finish is better than I expected. They are very nice and always on time.

Willing to give a quote over the phone based on a brief description of the piece. Came out to pick up the next day. Asked for three weeks to complete it, returned it in two. Called to double check choice of stain, concerned it would be too red. Voluntarily tracked down a skeleton key to replace a missing one. Voluntarily added drawer stops. Explained best way to care for piece. Extremely friendly and courteous. Looks like a new piece of furniture. Have had other pieces refinished by other contractors. Only one has done a better job, but for twice the price. Very happy.

After having seen Palmer's work in another location, I asked them to please come by and price refinishing cabinets in a house we are purchasing. They came, they quoted me what I thought to be a very reasonable price and took one of the existing cabinet doors to refinish. When they returned with the refinished door, it was perfectly beautiful. However, after much thought, we decided to gut and upgrade the entire kitchen. Palmer's Refinishing is a family owned company and obviously they take a great deal of pride in their work. They are also very nice to be around. I hope to work with them in the future, and they come with my highest recommendation.

I first contacted Palmer Refinishing in mid July, asking if they would refinish my front door. Nathan Palmer was very responsive and very quickly set up a schedule for the work. Scott Palmer was the person doing the actual work. Scott was a real expert and very professional. The quality of his work was excellent. He had to repair some of the weathered areas of the door. The door looks new. He gave us a product to put on door to keep the door looking new with instructions on how to apply it. We were so happy with his work that we gave him a 10% bonus. We would definitely use them again for any refinishing work.

The Palmer's were extremely professional. Their responses to our inquiries were timely. They were both very friendly and polite. The quality of their work EXCEEDED our expectations, the turn around time was fast (about 2 weeks) and their prices beat all the other quotes we received. We've already recommended them to our friends and will DEFINITELY employ them again in the future!

Nathan is very professional and knowledgeable about what he does. His prices are extremely fair. My front door looks beautiful!!! My husband and I are very pleased with the work Nathan did for us. We highly recommend his work and will definitely use him again !

Nathan Palmer and his son refinished my furniture on 2 occasions and we were quite pleased with the results. I had very specific ideas about the finish and colors I wanted and they were happy to meet my expectations.

Al was very polite and easy to work with. He was always either on time for all the appointments or early! The work was done exactly on the day they projected and was complete within their time frame. I would highly recommend their company. I will be using them to refinish some of my furniture in the near future!

The Palmers were fantastic. They finished the job exactly when they said they would. Pick up and delivery were very convenient. The price I paid was extremely fair. They gave me advice on how to continue to care for my antiques. Friendly. Wonderful experience. I am going to call them this week for more work.

THE PALMER'S WERE VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH AND COME TO CHARLOTTE OFTEN ENOUGH THAT THEY HAVE A FLEXIBLE PICK UP/DROP OFF SCHEDULE. WE CHOSE A DARKER FINISH THAN WAS CURRENTLY ON THE DESK (ONE THEY SUGGESTED) AND IT CAME OUT BEAUTIFULLY. THE VENEER REPAIR IS A PERFECT MATCH. THESE ARE PEOPLE WHO TAKE PRIDE IN WHAT THEY DO AND CARE ABOUT THEIR REPUTATION. WE WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM FOR OTHER PIECES ON OUR HOME!

THEY DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB AND BROUGHT BACK A TABLE THAT LOOKED BETTER THAN NEW. WE ACTUALLY FORGOT TO GIVE THEM ONE OF THE LEAVES INITIALLY, AND THEY WERE WILLING TO STOP BACK BY THE NEXT DAY AND PICK IT UP. WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

ESTIMATE CAME IN MUCH LOWER THAN OTHER QUOTES. NATHAN PICKED UP THE PIECES (DELIVERY IS INCLUDED IN PRICE) AND WORKED WITH ME TO DETERMINE A NEW REFINISH COLOR AND SHINE. I WAS DELIGHTED WITH THE FINISHED PRODUCT. NOT ONLY WAS THE COLOR AND REFINISH PERFECT, BUT THEY HAD TAKEN EXTRA MEASURE TO MEND THE WOOD WHERE NECESSARY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HONEST, RELIABLE, PRICE-REASONABLE, AND FRIENDLY FAMILY BUSINESS.

THIS PIECE WAS PAINTED WHITE, AND IT CAME BACK IN SUPER CONDITION, WITH NO HINT OF HAVING BEEN PAINTED. LOOKS LIKE A BRAND NEW PIECE. THEY PROVIDE A HIGH QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP, DELIVER GREAT RESULTS IN A TIMELY MANNER, AND FOLLOW THROUGH WITH WHAT IS PROMISED. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
