Very prompt and professional. Mr. Featherstone needed more parts and the install of the dishwasher turned out to be more difficult than originally anticipated. Even with the extra time and labor he stood by the original estimate.

My 2 1/2 year old son flushed a hard rubber ball the size of a tennis ball down an upstairs toilet. It got stuck somewhere in the toilet or the pipes, I didn't know where, but the toilet overflowed and water went through my floor and down to the first floor ceiling and into a chandelier. I called Mr. Featherstone midday on a Friday and explained to him the situation. He told me clearly step by step how to take this situation out of an emergency status(turn off the chandelier light, turn off the water going to the toilet, close and lock the bathroom door) and said that he would be at my house later in the afternoon on the same day. He showed up! This was a pleasant surprise since it was late on a Friday afternoon and it was the same day. Then he spent some time trying to snake the toilet. That did not work. He suspected that the ball was lodged in the toilet bowl, so he removed my toilet from the floor. But in a thorough attempt to diagnose the problem, he hooked up a hose to the bathroom sink and ran water down the toilet hole in the floor. The water passed fine. He then wadded up some toilet paper, stuffed it down the hole and ran some more water. The toilet paper passed fine. He suspicions were correct about the blockage being in the toilet bowl. He then drained all the water from the toilet bowl and carried it down the stairs to my back yard. He turned the bowl upside down and we could see the ball stuck in the bowl. Because the passageway in the bottom of the bowl is curved, he said that it would be very difficult to get the ball out. This was a big ball. Instead of demolishing the toilet bowl and forcing me to buy a new one, Mr. Featherstone worked diligently to push the ball through. This meant reaching his bare hands down into the toilet where human waste had collected around the blockage in an effort to grab the ball. After several minutes, the ball did release. Mr. Featherstone then wiped the bowl clean and dry and picked it up and carried back in my house, back up the stairs and back into the bathroom. He cleaned off the floor where the old wax seal was and installed a new wax seal. He then reinstalled the toilet. Afterwards, he cleaned up the mess in the bathroom and washed his hands. Before he left, my mischievous 2 1/2 year old son broke a glass snow globe on the living room carpet shattering it to a million little pieces. Mr. Featherstone got on his hands and knees helping me pick up the glass which was way beyond the call of duty. By this time, it was Friday evening. The entire time, Mr. Featherstone was pleasant, patient and professional.
