Allen's Complete Masonry

okay took a couple of days but okay.

I was having the hardest time finding someone who wanted to take a small job. We had had the steps repaired in the past, but the mason did a terrible job of matching the color to the existing grout. Some of the grout from the first repair was also falling out. I'd contacted a few other masonry companies but they never showed up or said they were not able to do the work. At any rate, I was very happy with Allen's Masonry. He stopped by to look at the job as promised and was able to squeeze in the job that very same day -- before going to his next project. He did a beautiful job matching the grout color and the grout seems to be holding after the summer season. I also thought his price was very fair. Overall, I'm very happy and will call him again in the future as we need to continue maintaining the stonework.

Better than excellent service. They think outside the box and had some great suggestions in addition to great attention to detail and exhibiting craftsmanship that I thought was long lost.

I have actually used Allen's Complete Masonry on a few occasions, always to repair/replace stones which have fallen from my stone chimney (I think they called it "repointing" the stones). Nancy Allen is always prompt and polite on the phone. Her husband Dave and his brother, Don, were always the 2 who came out to do the work. Not only were they clearly very comfortable and skilled with their trade, they were also a couple of the most pleasant guys I've come across! I would hang out with them as they worked just because they were humorous and I enjoyed talking with them (hopefully I wasn't being a nuisance!) Every repair I've had them do over the years has remained solid and Dave always goes to the additional effort of checking the whole chimney for other potentially loose stones. The job requires a lot of hard work from them, from erecting scaffolding around the chimney to hoisting heavy cement and stones up to the chimney top, but they always get it done cheerfully and professionally. And Don always leaves everything clean when the job is done. Each time I've used them, I've been surprised at how low their estimates are! And every time without exception they've stuck to their estimate, even when they touched up a few extra places on the chimney. It's guys like this that make you wish you could use them for any job you need done at the house, not just masonry!

They do excellent work. Their punctuality is right on. The staff friendliness is very good. They are also very knowledgeable about their work. I would highly recommend them for any work that needs to be done. They do what they say they are going to do when they say they will.

THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB, THE GUY CAME OUT AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE THAT WAS VERY APPROPRIATE, THEY DID A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB, THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. AND I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY ONE.

Dave has done work for us in the past and always amazes me how professional and thorough he and his crew are. Watching them work is like watching an artist; they take so much pride in what they do and are amazing craftsmen. Very reasonable and completely experts in their field.

Although we had some communication problems getting in touch with Allen, once the job started he completed the job when he said, within quote, excellent quality, and cleaned up site before leaving. Only complaint was that he said they would return in a few weeks to apply cleaner to the brick, but have not heard from him. I would use Allen again.

Completed in a couple hours without any problems.
