We have paid (upfront) for the treatment of our lawn and that was a huge mistake. This company 1) does NOT answer their phones EVER, 2) does not return phone calls, 3) does not perform the service they are supposed to, and 4) has the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a company. Do not, and I mean DO NOT, use this company!

I have had this service for a couple of years. I still have weeds and my lawns has brown patches and some spots where NO grass growing! I called over two weeks ago and was told the manager would contact me. He has not. My service is up for renewal and I called today and canceled. Paid almost $400 a year for my yard to look horrible!

The service and customer service from this company is very poor. Had this company since beginning of last year to fertilize and de-weed my lawn. I complained to them about the issue of over excessive weeds after my year been treaded for a year. There techs do a really poor job on spraying even caught tech on camera cutting corners not even spraying one side of my house. Makes me think he been cutting corners all alone that's is probably why I have weeds. I addressed the problem with them instead of correcting the issue they going to cancel my services. They will take your money but not treat your yard with respect. I even gave them business and the people I did end up canceling them for bad/poor service. It's sad this company is still in business, stay away look at star rating and negative reviews. If I could not give them a star at all I would.

Hired quarterly to weed and fertilize for about 6 months. Lawn looked horrible by spring time. Weeds and dead grass everywhere. Had to resod my side yard and part of my back yard. Still waiting on a “partial refund.” I doubt it will happen. I hope anyone that hires them has a better experience but I fell like I spent money only to damage my lawn.

They didn't get rid of the weeds after 1 year of application of their herbicides

Bwana, who made contact and evaluated my property was very professional and polite and knowledgeable. The person who came the first time to perform the service either forgot, or did not know he had to do the backyard. The office was very nice about scheduling an extra visit to do the backyard, although I cannot be sure it has been done because there are still a lot of weeds. Time will tell. I am getting quarterly applications because I don't like a lot of chemicals and this schedule has worked when I did it myself.

100% sorry that I have to give such a bad review. I had their service for a couple of months (3). This was suppose to kill weeks and prevent new weeks from growing. Since this were winter months this was to prevent the weeks from growing in the spring. What a joke, I have weeks all over the place. I don't think it is right that they do the service if I'm at home and not ring the bell telling me they are going to spray. I would love to watch and see what they do. That never happened. When I canceled service it took 2 emails and 2 phone calls and they did not even ask why. I left voice mail messages and never got a call back. The emails went unanswered. I am also very disappointed in Angie's list for listing them. I was paying about $50.00 every month to 45 days.

The services performed was poor. They would send someone out that would spot spray and failed to cover the yard. Weeds began to grow and when called, they would send someone back out 1-2 weeks later. I realized that I was having to do this over and over, so I tried to reach a manager. They put me in touch with a manger named Paul that gave me a round about discussion telling me he would personally address the issue. He came out, evaluated my yard and agreed with my concerns. Said he would spray it himself and did one time. Treatment stopped and he did not return until I called him to ask him not to forget me. He said he would be back and then remained away. I called and he started ignoring my messages. I requested a refund for the year and they said the would refund. They never have. I have tried to get them to refund and still no refund. Lesson learned...do not use them. Southern Turf does not need to do business with anyone. I hope all potential lawn treatment customers seek service elsewhere. STAY AWAY FROM SOUTHERN GREEN!

It took 10 days to get a technician out to my home. 5 to 10 Days is the typical response time.

They have given me good service. I will recommend them and use them, again.

Weed treatment was ineffective, but I was warned it might be. Hard to access the rest of it.

They were good. Its an re-occurring thing. They come, leave a tag on the lawn, and they go. The service is fine.

They were professional and not pushy with the first visit when they explained their service/offer. They have since been out for a total of 3 treaments and the lawn has responed so well.

Very well. They were courteous, arrived on time for the treatment and the treatments were successful.

Didn't get a call to schedule, instead a gentleman wanders into my backyard at 8:30pm while I'm having guests over for a bbq. After seeing that there's about 10 people on my back porch he continues to try to start service. I tell him to call me another time and he leaves. He calls me the next day and tells me that he walked around my yard the night before, so he didn't need to come back to survey the yard. Given it was dark out, I'm not sure how good of a job he could've done. He mentioned that my yard was too far gone to use weed killer (which is probably true), so I declined to have him come out to do the service. I never received a refund, which in hindsight I probably should have requested given no services were performed...

I've had too many bad experiences with yard and lawn care type people. It's not that I had a bad experience with them; I'm not gonna put them out there like that. It wasn't a bad experience. I like to do my yard myself. I called them just to do the first initial, the spray thing, something that I can't control, whatever they have to do. They did what they had to do, but I like to do my own. I just needed help at the time. But to recommend to someone else? Yes, I would. They did their job, so I'll give them an A. It's hard to explain. You have to be a yard person. You need that initial push and they gave me that push and I respect them for that, that's why I gave them respectful grades. I'm a yard person myself, I just didn't have the tools that they had to get my yard going. They did what they had to do to get me going, put it that way.

Lawn looked great for months after initial treatment. Ant control was also effective.

Bwana showed up and was quite the salesman. He was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. He was not pushy or hurried. He took his time to walk around the house and discuss concerns we had about different grasses, moles, etc.. Matt told us it would take a year to get our lawn back to the way it was, once upon a time. We were already behind in applying the first course of fertilizer and pre-emergent, so we knew our lawn would not transform itself with a couple treatments. We have had two treatments thus far and are seeing a difference. I am happy in the fact that the treatments for grubs and insects are keeping the moles at bay. I've noticed a significant difference in the departure of those pesky rodents. There's still work to be done to kill some of the weeds and the variance of grasses, but the yard looks good, and I have to take the hit for the remaining weeds and grass variances due to beginning the treatment later than we should have. And by the way, if you're going to use a coupon, you may as well go with a full year as it's cheaper than if you purchase the products and apply them yourself throughout the year to have a beautiful yard. I've been home during both treatments we've had thus far and will tell you that they are very thorough and professional.
