The buried cables run parallel with the fence which made it difficult to remove the posts.Each post had to be "pulled' from the ground which was a lot of work. Anthony and his crew rose to the task and performed the work in a professional manner. I am very pleased with the finished product and would recommend them to any one.

I contacted several contractors to replace 5 panels of falling down fence bordering the back of my property that my HOA wouldn't fix. Ladson Fences provided the most reasonable estimate & they also added a walk gate. I paid 1/3 down before the work started, I paid another 1/3 after the posts were set, and I paid the last 1/3 when the work was completed. Anthony started and completed my fence in the discussed time-frame, he and his workers were very professional and hard-working, and the work was of good quality. When the rest of my fence and drive gate needs to be replaced I will use Ladson Fences again. Thank you for your good service!

He did exactly what he said he was going to do and when e was going to do it.

Called Ladson Fence on 8/19/2013 to come and give an estimate on replacing the fence across my back yard. Talked with Anthony Maulden that morning and he set an appointment to give an estimate that afternoon after 6 PM. Received a call around 4 PM that evening and he asked that we set another time for the appointment as it was raining at the time. I agreed and we set an appointment for 7:00 PM the following day, 8/20/2013. He did not show for the appointment and I never received a call from him. I then contacted another company the following week and had the fence installed within 4 days.

They never called me back to ask me if I wanted to go ahead or anything.

Pretty great. Anthony was easy to work with and went out of his way to accommodate my inexperience with building fences and my general lack of preparedness. Work was completed quickly, on budget and ahead of my deadline. They even removed my old chainlink fence and hauled all the scrap away. They left a clean worksite, but I did notice a few dings in a couple of the fence boards upon closer inspection. Nothing serious. All in all, a good experience. Will definitely work with these guys again.

The new gates are great. They open and close easily. The configuration matches the rest of the fencing. I no longer have to lift the sections of the double gate to get them open. The gates close properly and not longer overlap. They also lock which means no more blocks keeping them closed. My gates are now functional and look great.. The people who worked on the gates were very professional and completed the work in the timeframe promised. I will be using them again when it is time to replace the rest of the fencing.

Anthony did some work on a gate for my fence around September of last year. Recently we started having issues with the gate closing. I contacted Anthony and he was very polite and helpful. He made it top priority to come out and make the necessary repairs. I would happily recommend him to friends and family.

I contatcted Ladson fences on a sunday afternoon just to set up an appointment and within 30 min. he was at my house measuring for the new gate. He gave me the price which was reasonble and told when it would be installed. In less then a week i had my gate. He did everything he said he would do.

The fence is very sturdy and the gates are as well. He was professional to work with. The owner and his brother-in-law built the fence and they stained the fence as well. They did the work quickly even with poor weather. The only complaint that we had was that they did not do as good of a job on the stain work but the fence itself was well built.

It went well. A few unforeseen delays frustrated my timeline but Ladson Fence made up for the delays with a full install in less than 1/2 a day. Very honest and responsive.

Based on the Angie's List recommendation, I contacted Ladson Fences for an estimate on my enclosure. Mr. Anthony Mauldin came by that afternoon to discuss the job I had in mind. He gave me a very reasonable price for the job and returned the next day with a contract in hand. He advised me to call 811 to check utility lines. After all utilities had been marked, we had to completely rearrange our design. Anthony explained how the posts would have to be set in order to avoid a utility catastrophe. He set my posts in place, then came back and finished the job in an afternoon. It all came together beautifully... exactly what I had envisioned. Mr. Mauldin was professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend Ladson Fences in the future.

They were just okay. I had some issues with the them because the quality of work was not that great. They were also kind of stalking me for the money which is really weird. They wanted to pay in certain increments and I understand that but I'm also at work. The bottom of the fence was all uneven. If I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't recommend them.

we moved into a development which has 5 different waste collection companies. Ladson was recommended by our HOA so after checking the others out we signed with Ladson. They had the best price and also provided recycling bags with no additional charge. They were willing to pick up all of the extra boxes we had from moving for as long as we needed them to and it was a couple of months...without any additional charge. We are very happy with Ladson and it appears that all of our new neighbors who moved into our development also signed up with them. Recentyl there was an effort initiated by the neighborhood to persuade all residents in our townehome community to convert from their current waste collection company to Ladson. Im not sure where that stands but we are hopeful it will be successful so we can limit the number of companies coming into our community and the number of days we have waste trucks travelling in the ocmmunity. i would strongly recommend Ladson to any one.

Excellent service. Best price around. The owner did most of the work saving me money. Also cut in a walk through gate on my privacy fence in the back yard for only the cost of the hardware. Everybody else wanted $175. Also helped support a 4ft walk gate on my privacy fence where the brace was put on wrong at no charge. Highly recommend.

Anthony Mauldin was very prompt and even reworked his schedule so we could go out of town. The fence was expertly installed and everything cleaned up afterward. We were very pleased and would recommend him to our friends.

They made the job look easy! The new fencing and new gates look great and better yet, work great. I will definitely use them again.

First contact was on 5/23 set up a appointment for an estimate on Friday 5/24 at 3:30. No show at 3:30 so we called him and he said " Im on my way" still NO SHOW at 4:15 no call anything. So we called him again NO answer 4:30 we left the house. he calls us Sunday night 5/26 no apology nothing. His words were " Hi this is Anthony do you think I can come about the fence on Tuesday morning " of course the answer was NO NO NO ! Is this guy crazy. He is a disgrace to Angies List needs to be removed.

Professionalism. Every interaction that I had with Mr. Mauldin was pleasantly positive and was quite possibly the best contract work experience that I've ever encountered during home-repair, home-improvement type projects. During the estimate phase of the project, he found a time to meet that was convenient for me. He arrived early for each scheduled meeting between us. He conducts himself in a very professional and business-like yet pleasant manner. Quality. Mr. Mauldin custom builds his fences and he has multiple styles to choose from. Because of this, his completion time is much more rapid than other companies I spoke with. In addition, this allows for him to compensate for landscaping imperfections such as hills/slopes. We were very pleased with the final product and would certainly use him again. We would also recommend him without hesitation. I wish he offered other home-improvement type services as he understands the concept of customer satisfaction via professionalism and quality.

Anthony came out for a free estimate and was very friendly and professional. He was the lower of two quotes we received and took care of getting the necessary permit for the work. The rainy weather slowed the process a bit, all in all it took almost 3 weeks from quote to finish, but Anthony kept us informed of the progress along the way. The fence is beautiful, the gate looks great and works wonderfully and we are very happy with our fence.

We closed on a house in December and realized the fence in the back yard was only 3 1/2 feet tall; and with a dog that stood almost 3 1/2 feet tall, we knew we would have to have the fence replaced. We had no idea of where to turn, as we lived in VA and the house was in South Carolina. So, after seeing several advertisements on TV and hearing ads on the radio, we decided to sign up for Angie's List. After signing up, we looked up fence companies and were given a list of several companies that serviced our area. We noticed the number one listed company didn't state anything about a guarantee, so we emailed the second company. We received a response the next day to call their office. I called their office only to get an answering machine asking us to leave our name and number and a brief message, which I did. And that was the end of that. I never heard another word from that company. (Carolina Fences). So, after a week, I decided to contact the No. 1 listed contractor. (Ladson Fences - Anthony Mauldin). I emailed the company and just like the first, I received an email promptly. He asked for a contact number where he could call me and what time would be a good time to call. I immediately returned the email with my contact information. In no time we received a call from Mr. Mauldin of Ladson Fences asking when would it be convenient to come out to the property. We sat up an appointment while we were speaking for the next day. (Saturday, February 15th at 10:00 a.m.) Well, on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. the doorbell rings and we answer the door to a tall lanky man with the biggest grin I've ever seen. He immediately introduced himself as Anthony Mauldin of Ladson Fences. I was a little worried, as he did not have a uniform nor was there any company sign on his truck. But, after just a few minutes of speaking with him, he seemed like a genuine "nice guy". (which, by the way, he is). We proceeded to the back yard where he took out some measuring tools and measured the existing fence line. After his examination of our fence he said that it looked to be pretty worn (which we found out while he was there, it was indeed, as our dog had pushed her head through many of the pickets that were rotten). He then gave us an estimate of $3000.00 to remove and rebuild the fence. He stated, if we wanted to have the fence sealed, he would do that for an additional $100.00, as long as we provided the Thompson's Water Seal. Well, that was in February. We told Mr. Mauldin that we would have to wait on our Home Owner Association's approval. He advised, as soon as we get their approval for us to contact Miss Utilities and to also advise our neighbors of what we were doing (which was also the same requirement of the HOA. as well). On 02-19-13 Mr. Mauldin emailed us some pictures of different fences he had installed and my husband and I selected what we wanted and email our decision to Mr. Maudlin the next day. On 04-04-13, Mr. Mauldin emailed us, checking on the progress of the HOA decision, (as he didn't want to send a contract to us because his contracts, once sent, are only good for 30 days). We told him we had not heard anything. That was the biggest hold up, waiting on the HOA approval. On 04-11-13 we finally received approval from the HOA. Once we received the approval, we contacted Miss Utilities and our surrounding neighbors. We called Mr. Mauldin to let him know everything was a go. (Finally). He then stated he would mail his contract, which we received on 04-17-13 and we promptly signed it and (as stated) place a check for 1/3 of the total amount of the fence. On 04-19-13, received an email from Miss Utilities that the lines had been painted and work could begin on 04-23-13. Mr. Mauldin started removing the old fence on 04-23-13. He had the new post set in concrete on 04-26-13, which per the contract, we paid the next 1/3 of the payment. Mr. Mauldin continued to work on fence and asked when would we be available to inspect the fence, once completed. We contacted Mr. Mauldin and set up a time for Friday, May 3, 2013. We could not believe our eyes when we arrived and saw our new fence. It was beautiful. It was EXACTLY how we had described it to him, the 4 foot privacy "dog ear" fence on three sides of the back yard and a 4 foot picket "dog ear" fence facing the pond. He installed three gates, exactly where we had requested. He had the fence installed, the yard cleaned up and the only thing left to do was to add the "caps" to each post (but, it was already getting dark, so we agreed he would come back on 05-04-13 to complete the project). Mr. Mauldin Mr. Mauldin (or Mr. Anthony as my grandchildren called him) was always polite and kind. He did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. The fence is just beautiful. He met all my neighbors, the two on each side and the one across the street, who all stated to us, he was very nice and totally professional. (Actually, one neighbor may be using him to put up her fence). My husband and I could not be happier with the way this total project (start to finish) has gone. Mr. Anthony Mauldin is the nicest "down home country man" I have ever met and he does excellent work. We totally believe we got what we paid for as he is a perfectionist and made sure everything was what we wanted and the way we wanted. He also stated he would give us a one year warranty on his work (just like the other contractor has stated on Angie's List). We would recommend him to anyone that needed a fence or fence repair.

Anthony Mauldin showed up early for our initial appt to provide estimate. Pricing was provided and go ahead to perform work was given. Posts were to be set on Saturday and fencing to be stick built on Monday. Posts were dropped off ahead of time so they would be ready to go on Saturday. The work was supposed to start at 9:00am Saturday morning. I called at 9:30 Saturday morning, and was advised he was on his way. Upon leaving Saturday he said that he would see me Tuesday . . . I reminded him that we had agreed to Monday. He said that he would try. I did not hear from anyone on Monday and Tuesday received a call from his wife stating that Anthony had to go out of town on a family emergency. Our fence was finished the following Saturday which was a slight inconvenience as we had scheduled other work to be done that day. When they arrived on Saturday, they went right to work. Built a quality fence that looks good. Our only concern is timeliness. If your running late call and if you tell someone your going to be there on a certain day (i.e Monday) then be there. Had this been honored, the family emergency would not have affected the building of our fence. Overall Good Quality fence at a good price. They worked hard and left the job ste clean. We would hire again for future needs.

Mr. Mauldin came out, gave me an estimate, and told me exactly what I needed to do (call SC 811 to get them to mark my underground cable lines). Mr. Mauldin then was kind enough to follow up with me a few days later to schedule an appointment. He was always prompt when arriving to do the job (he did most of the work himself) and did an excellent worksmanship job with the fencing and application of the water seal. He even threw in the extra walk gate for free after giving me the original quote when I asked him about options for accessing a water valve several feet away from the fence. Now, that is good customer service! I highly recommend Ladson Fences for any professional fencing job and will definitely be referring him to friends and co-workers.

The guy was very friendly, and he explained everything that he was going to do. I had a pretty good experience with his service. Monday, he was supposed to be out, but he did not show up. My husband called and found out that he has been in an accident. My husband said, "Call me anyway. If you are not going to make it, call me." He works hard on everything, but he should have called to say, "We are not going to make it today." On the other hand, his job was excellent. He just built a nice fence, and it looks really good. He was concerned about how his work should look.

I called Ladson Fences after looking up Fence replacement on Angie's List. They had the highest rating in my area. The owner came the next day to give me an estimate. I signed for the job with him the following day.They started immediately. They deconstructed the old fence very quickly. They worked around the weather and rain and started installing the new fence. They completed almost all of the fence posts in one day then the rest in2 days. I am very happy with the work they did and would recommend them to anyone!
