Fogle HVAC services did an awesome job installing my new units. The entire team including the office staff, the guy that does the estimate, the installers, and the maintenance technician were great. This is the second company to try and diagnose my problem. Neither could find out why. Both determined my compressor was working perfectly, but neither could determine why warm air was coming through my duct work. This is consistent with South Carolina competency: no one can fix, only replace. Getting tired of paying for service calls that accomplish nothing,

If two companies are telling you the same thing then maybe you need to consider the advice you are given. You have a system that has been neglected and is in very poor shape. This is my technician notes "Tested system operations and found head pressure of 75 PSI with a suction pressure of 150 psi on r22 system. Inspected the inside air handler and found the coil was covered in dust. Cleaned off coil and begin to observe the delta T lower. No other faults were found." sometimes we don't like the answers we are given, I'm sorry you don't want to replace your system. i suggest next one cleaning the system and changing filters more regularly.

They were polite and cleaned everything up but unfortunately they did have some issues and it took a while to get things done properly since it was a more high tech unit. They came promptly until it got straightened out. The owner was in contact with me and I ended up a very happy customer. There are times when things don't go smoothly, that is when you want a company that cares. Heat Pump runs great now with no issues. Very efficient unit.

It was $85 before because I had the service contract, but they may have gone up. Then I stopped using them because we’re going to be moving. The contract I had was twice a year. It seemed like I had to call them because we kind of slipped through the cracks with them. Sometimes they would call and say, “hey, you’re due for your maintenance”; but lately it was me having to call them to say, “hey, I’m due!” Otherwise, they were fine. I think they are probably comparably priced with most of the other companies here. Their price may be a little bit higher I think, like I said they may have went up in price. Before I was moving, I decided I was going to look around. They were pretty responsive. I had already decided I was not going to use them, I was going to look around, and since I am leaving.

I'm very happy with them. The guy that owns the company knows what's going on and the employees that he sends over here are excellent. Their work was perfect and they cleaned up after themselves. If I call them, I usually get them here within the day. Other people wait 3-4 day to get somebody to come out. They tell me the time they are coming and are usually within 10 minutes of the time they tell you. They also call just before they are coming and tell me they are in route. They are very professional.

Appointment was pre-arranged so the large part could be ordered, shipped and installation date co-ordinated. We chose a downtime between the cooling and heating season so our life style was not interrupted or inconvenienced. Fogel called week ahead of time to schedule day and time. Two men showed up when expected; worked quickly, quietly and efficiently. Job was done satisfactorily within a couple hours.
Description of Work: Coil in HVAC air handler unit failed (in warranty) and replaced by Fogel for labor only. Fogel has been our HVAC service provider for 4-1/2 years.

They are not very dependable. I probably won't use them again. You have to call them to make a pm appointment. I've never had that happen before. You have to chase them down. It takes months to get it. I just don't find them very responsive. I thought their price was kind of high. They tell you between 12:00 and 5:00 and they do come within that timeframe, but you just never know when.

We bought a $5320 unit from Fogel’s, that was installed on June 26, 2015 The installers were to be at our house “first thing” that Friday morning, they didn’t arrive until about 2pm. Upon arrival they didn’t put their shop truck in gear and it ran into a neighbor’s van and the police had to be called to report the accident. The new system is larger than the old system, we were told when we scheduled the install that the current platform would be large enough, and the installers had to cut away part of the platform to install the new unit. The installers don’t rebuild platforms, we had to add on to the current platform-we are not carpenters. As the installers were finishing up they left a gaping hole in the side of the house were the lines run into the house from the outside unit, a mess in the attic with water bottles, parts from the old system and the installation manual; outside they left old parts of the old unit, pieces of wood from the platform. The installers handed us the instruction manual for the new thermostat and left. On July 7th, Tuesday, we returned home from vacation to find our upstairs at 84 degrees, the new unit had quit working. We called Fogels first thing Wednesday July 8th in the morning to schedule someone to come out to the house to fix the new system. I was told someone would be out as soon as possible; the tech showed up at 7pm that evening. The tech told us the unit was installed incorrectly and that the original installers would need to come back out and fix the installation and there was a leak in the new system so he added more coolant and said he would inform the office to schedule with the installers. We weren’t contacted and by Friday night our upstairs was again at 80 degrees. I called to have someone come out again. The on call tech said he would be out Saturday morning after his 9am appointment he said that appointment should be about 40 minutes. As of 1pm the tech had not showed up so again I called, he stated they had an emergency and he would get to me as soon as possible. I asked why he hadn’t called and he stated that he had over 30 calls and he could be expected to call all of them and explain his schedule. I asked when I could expect him he said he would call. He called at 215 while we were at lunch I said I could meet him at the house in about 45 minutes and he said that wouldn’t work and would we be available Sunday morning, I said we weren’t available Sunday morning. He stated he wasn’t sure when he could come to our house. He said he would not be in the area again which is not true because an associate of mine had called Fogel that morning and he was at her house doing service the same day in my general area. Monday, July 13th I called the office first thing in the morning to ask for a Manager or Owner to call me so I can get my AC fixed and working properly like it should be after spending over $5k. I was told that Brian the service manager or Randall the owner would contact me today. Well it is now Tuesday, July 14 and I have had to call again and find out the status. I did finally speak with Brian the Service Manager he stated he contacted the installers yesterday and they were to get ahold of me and schedule a time to correct the install. I was never contacted-I waited at home all day. Brian stated that he would contact the installers again then call me and let me know the status. FINALLY the installers came back and fixed whatever was wrong but still left a mess in the attic. I called and requested a service tech come out and double check the system install. A tech came out spent about 2 minutes looking and said everything looks fine. I was not given any type of warranty paperwork only a receipt with the system model and number. I was told that is the warranty. I called the office (ugh) to ask about any type of service checkup that might come with the new system and was told we would have to pay the regular price for system checkups. I will be finding a new HVAC service company. I do have to say Service Provide Marc was great, too bad the rest of the company isnt!

Trevor came out to assess our system and see why our bedroom was so hot. Fogel is the company that installed the system in our home when the house was built. There were no dampers installed at the time of installation. Alex was out approximately 30 days earlier for a general maintenance call and checked the system and gave us a thumbs up and said everything checked out. Trevor said he did not install dampers, his boss, Brian would send another crew to do that, but, I was low on coolant and the AC needed a charge. It apparently had a leak. I told him to go head and charge it. He charged it for $168. He then tried to sell me on a maintenance plan for $140. I told him I already had a maintenance plan. I had signed up with Alex when he was out 30 days earlier. I asked that he try to find the leak. He said that he could do that but chances were, that he blow the compressor out when he put pressure on the system to find the leak and it would cost me $2,000 to replace the condenser. He would recommend replacing the system. He said he would have his boss, Brian, get ahold of me. I had to call Brian. Brian said he would have a more experienced tech come out and check out the system. He again, sent Trevor out. When Trevor arrived, he began throwing items out of his truck onto my lawn and slamming his truck door back against his truck, obviously having a bad day and pulling the parts to install the dampers that he had originally told me he did not install. I met him at the door and told him to go on. He would not be working on my equipment. If he treated his employer's equipment so badly, I did not want him in my home. I called Brian several times and the next day I finally spoke with him. I agreed to have another tech come out. He sent Marc out. Marc said he did, indeed find the leak. (In less than two minutes). It is in the coils in the attic. It will cost $2,000 to repair or $6,200 to replace the system. He gave me that option in writing. No details as to what system, who will install it, no specifics. I asked for a comparison of a Lennox and he just noted it would be the same. No specifics. He left and left without reconnecting the A/C. I spent the day waiting for him to return to rehook the A/C. Brian was unavailable, out on a call, etc. What is the saying? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Beware of this company.
Description of Work: Initially, the provider was to do a routine maintenance call followed by a troubleshooting call to assess why one single room stays hot while the others are cool.

I got home the next day and found that he had left a note stating he had replaced the capacitor, but he needed me to call the office. He had forgotten to get the expiration dates off of my credit card. The next morning from work I called the office and gave them all of my card info again. I thought I was done, but now at almost 7 months later I get a bill in the mail from them. Somehow after giving them my credit card info twice, 7 months ago, they still failed to charge me or even mail me a bill until Feb 5th 2016. I would hate to be a family that lives paycheck to paycheck and get a bill like this out of the blue. The AC work was very professional, fast and they were my heroes for getting the AC back up for my infant son and my family. I am just dumbfounded at the failure to process my payment in a timely manner. What would they have done if I had given them cash and they lost that? They should be open now, so I am going to call them and TRY to pay this again.
Description of Work: Lightning hit near our house and the AC unit stopped working. I called our usual AC people and they could not come out for a week, so I called Fogle and they were servicing one of my neighbors soon and could stop by my house afterwards. It was fantastic news, because I had an infant in the house and I did not have AC in July. They came by as promised and found our issue to be a dead capacitor in the AC unit. The technician did not have the right size for our unit with him, but he did have a smaller one to install until he could come out the next day to put in the right size. I gave him my credit card, he filled out some paperwork and then he left.

I understand your concern. in this day and age we live completely off technology. we had a server failure in April 2015. we are just now getting everything back in order. it has taken us that long. we learned a valuable and expensive lesson. after hours and hours of re inputting all information to get current again. we now have a backup plan to the back up plan. thanks for your business and I am sorry it was out of our control

It was okay. The first technician that came out didn't know what he was doing. The first technician could have been more proficient, he could have used some troubleshooting manual or some sort of reference instead of just guessing because he guessed wrong.

Found the company to be fair and usually responsive. The twice a year maintenance is kind of high priced, but since I bought the 10 yr labor warranty, I wanted to use them. Over the last 3 years they have done a comprehensive job of maintaining the unit. Even fixing an issue before it broke which I liked. Each guy that comes out seems very knowledgeable and polite. Last month we had a scheduling issue that left a bad taste in my mouth. Made an appointment for 8-10am, took off work to be there and at 10:05am I called to see how much longer. Was told a mistake had happened and I wasn't on the list anymore for that day (computer issues). They could possible have someone out that late afternoon, maybe. Was quite frustrated as I took off work. They were apologetic but should have made it right. I haven't decided if I will stick with them or get another company to service as I respect the quality work they do, just can't be taking off work to be stood up. Recommendation is if you have a maintenance appointment with them, call to confirm the day before. I should have.

I have dealt with Fogel for around 4 years now. I have spent over $10,000 with them to replace various equipment. Last Friday, February 20th, my heat went out of the system that services the main part of my home. My wife called Fogel. A Technician arrived that afternoon and determined the problem. He said he would make sure the information was supplied to the office so a repair part could be ordered that day. I paid the man and he left. The part was not ordered until Monday February 23rd, all the while the main area of my home was without heat. My wife received a call from Fogel saying the part would be in on Friday February 27th, a full week without heat in the main part of my home. I called Fogel and spoke with the Supervisor Jeff, asking why the part was not ordered on Friday February 20th and overnighted for a quick resolution to this problem. Jeff had no satisfactory answer other than trying to place the blame on my wife, which did not help my opinion of him to this point. Had I foreknown this fiasco was coming, I would have ordered the repair part on Amazon on Friday and had it delivered to my door on Saturday and put it in myself. With Fogel charging me $185 for a $35 part, I would have likely saved over $100. I am not pleased with Fogel Services. They could have handled this much better and kept a satisfied customer.

I have spoken to all my staff in depth about this situation. whether the part was ordered friday at 4:00 or monday morning at 9:00 am it would not have changed anything. 4:00 on friday it would never had made it through the processing and made it out for shipping. We did not install this system for you, we had no control over the part. when we spoke to your wife on monday we informed her it would be friday and you acknowledge that in this review. at that point if that was unacceptable you should have went on to order the part via amazon and installed yourself per your comments in this review. as far as the cost, i believe we were charging you a fair price for what we were doing. We came out diagnosed problem, ordered part, was returning to reinstall the part. labor, freight, overhead there isnt but a few dollars left for proffit. we cant do the work at cost. i am extremely sorry you are disatisfied, however i believe you wrote this review out of anger that you had no heat but you had already been informed the part was due in friday. there was an ice storm and nothing moved for a couple days, i apologize for that, however this was completely unforeseen and out of our control. thanks

With our plan for a heater on our in-ground pool, Fogel was the logical choice to extend the natural gas lines for the new pool heater. A couple of teams visited us to evaluate the situation. We were charged nothing for their efforts. The first team provided an estimate. We called Fogel to do the job. The installation team explained what would be necessary to run the natural gas lines. They could do the job, no problem. But they would either have to cut into the drywall inside the family room or run a line outside the house down the side. The gentleman who gave us this evaluation was the same one who installed the gas systems in the house. He knew what he was talking about. So given the cosmetic choices, we declined the service. Fogel sent two teams here with the last one expecting to do the job. We had to send them back. Fogel did not charge us for their efforts. We have decided to go with a propane bottle. Should we need anything else done, we will call Fogel first. We trust their expertise and recommendations.
Description of Work: Fogel was the HVAC/gas supplier to our new home in 2011. We want to install a natural gas powered heater for our in-ground pool. They sent two team here to investigate and quote the job.
