Roto-Rooter

I called roto rooter on Saturday night upon return from a trip to find I had a clogged drain. I do realize it is a weekend night but they did take nearly 3 hours to respond which is not a problem for me. They attempted to snake the drain to find mud and clay and that I had broken pipe and at the time they did not have a camera on the truck and would be out the following day with a camera and believed I it to be under the foundation. The following day I got no reponse and called back again and was told I would be called right back. I never did hear anything and now it is after 1pm on Monday and still nothing. I ended up calling servant plumbing and spoke to them over the phone and he knew what the problem was and did not think it was under the foundation. They were true to their word and arrived as promised and fixed the problem quickly and professionally. And his diagnosis over the phone was exactly as it was right at the clean out.

I scheduled the service for 2 PM. They never showed up, never called. After 3 hours, I called them and they acted as if their unprofessional behavior was just fine and dandy. They called me back at about 6PM and wanted to send their guy right over (four hours after appointment). The property where I needed the cleaning. This property is over 30 miles away from my principle residence and over 60 minutes to drive in rush hour. It seems any time I contract a trade or schedule a service I seem to routinely get this treatment. I think I just need to expect this low level of professionalism and incompetency in the Charleston SC area. This behavior is typical and I guess I should have called them every 10 minutes.

He took several hours to find out what the problem was. It's hard for me to judge whether another plumber would have done a better job. It was raining and he got up on the roof. He was a hard worker. The price was average. There was a call back and he charged me a lot less because he had been there before.

They gave me a better price because they had been here before.

So-so, it was very expensive and they didn't put the toilet on correctly so now it wobles.

I had 3 people come out to deal with 3 sewer back ups I had in 2 to2-1/2 weeks time. I was so very disappointed in this very well known and publicisrd Co. What a waste of my time and money.

They were timely, fair, and courteous.

Everything went great. The tech that came out was fantastic - A+. He even gave me the option of removing the commode myself instead of paying him to do it! He waited for me to do itand then cleaned the drain - save me $60!

Huge respect for Roto Rooter and their overall professionalism. A good company in my half a dozen or so dealings with them over the years. Servant plumbing is great too. But so many plumbers in Charleston aren't. Big props to Roto Rooter. They do a good service for a fair price. A pleasure to deal with them and barring a drastic change I'll definitely deal with them in the future and recommend to friends.

They responded fast and gave me a free estimate on how much it would cost to do the work. The price was not bad.
