PAM HARRINGTON EXCLUSIVES

With careful advance planning for a celebration of a family milestone birthday, we contracted to rent 7 Inlet Cove. Our relatives rented a nearby house at 11 Inlet Cove from another company so we could be close together- sharing meals and being able to directly watch kids as they went between houses. A deposit was paid. 2 months later, in January of 2016, I was called by Pam Harrington's office and told the home we had contracted for was no longer available and I was offered a house in the same neighborhood without water views and not near the relatives house. Any real estate professional knows that a home with no water view is not comparable to a home with a river sunset view. That was not acceptable to us. I was told the owner wanted the house for personal use. They violated the contract and wanted us to accept an offer that wasn't comparable. On my own, I found a home through another company that was in Inlet Cove and had water views. The other house cost me $300 more and we lost the near proximity to relatives. Pam Harrington and her staff would not even compensate the $300 difference. After many conversations with her staff and the other rental company trying to work out a compromise, I did talk to Pam Harrington in person and she was condescending and was short and rude with me as I was trying to explain my concerns. Pam Harrington did not fulfill the contract and would not offer an acceptable solution. If the homeowner wants to back out of the rental there should at least be a penalty. I am very unhappy with her service and have no desire to enter a contract with her again.
